I started the original chest piece when I was 20 and it just looked like shit. I just finished covering it yesterday.

Hi guys, so I got this skull on my arm before I decided what style I actually liked so it stands out a lot compared to the black line tattoos.

It’s hard to cover and I wanted mostly black work, I’m not a big fan of that red… if anyone has any ideas please share!

What initially was a tribute to my fiancé's passing is apparently easily mistaken for something much more hateful. So any ideas would be much appreciated, even if its laser it off.

Can artists use AI suggestions realistically? I'm uncertain if AI can really take into account the underlying darkness of pre-existing ink. I feel it can "cover" elements of the original, but I'm not sure it's using the preexisting lines in a technical sense. As an artist, would you be offended to be handed an AI suggestion or just say "here's what can and can't work with this suggestion"?

Today > freshly done in November 2024 > the old tattoo. We added the second mandala to help cover up a spot where the lineart didn't heal properly (totally my fault, I bent my arm more than I should've while healing.) My artist did an incredible job, and it's one of my favourite tattoos to this day. I get so many compliments on it, and it's like the old, badly-healed lipstick tattoo was never there at all.

so i paid for this to be removed was able to get 4 sessions done before i had to move and couldn't finish the process, I am getting a settlement in the next six months and i want to cover this up. can anyone give me ideas i could do to cover it.

I got this prehistoric shark tattoo recently but it just doesn’t look anything like it should & I can’t quit hyper fixating on it. Any ideas how I could cover it up? Or if it’s too dark to even get covered?

I’m looking to cover up the bottom part of my sleeve (the trellis and roses) with something more fitting and less busy. I feel the trellis and roses don’t match the realism that the rest of the sleeve contains. Any ideas would be helpful and very much appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

Laser removal is more than likely too expensive. So I’m thinking of covering these tattoos up. Any ideas? Or is coverup not an option.

Had this spider web done 2 years ago in an attempt to match with the spider on the other side. Unfortunately, it was poorly executed and I wound up with the worst self confidence immediately following.

For a couple years I was back and forth about removal or recovering it up, and ultimately decided covering it up was the most feasible option when comparing costs. Ended up with the most gorgeous headpiece and was even able to incorporate the existing spider tattoo 🖤🕷️ very thankful for my artist and all of her patience throughout this process.

*Face is covered as I had just finished a good loooong cry after having completed it lol.
