Big fan of the original game, Relaunched had too many issues on launch for me to enjoy it but now it's much better.
I'm at about sol 160 on my latest save, made after the latest hotfix, so as fresh as it gets. My colony is thriving in just about every aspect except comfort and my renegade population keeps growing.
Thumbing through my colonists, it appears my Comfort level is consistently low and this is causing colonists to go renegade.
In one case, one colonist only had a Comfort level of 33. The only debuff lowering his comfort was that he had worked a shift at the Diner. Which I mean, I get it man, work sucks. He didn't have any flaws or anything that were contributing otherwise, which is why I'm confused. It makes sense a "Coffee Enthusiast" is pissy without coffee. I also like my caffeine, I get it.
I have the full game including Feeding the Future. I have coffee production and distribution set up for my Coffee Enthusiasts which were my main comfort problem.
Most domes are what I'd consider self-sufficient (homes, a farm, a diner or grocer, decorations like a few scattered gardens, security stations, medical stations, etc), and each dome is connected to another dome, for a total of 6 domes (3 pairs). Only one dome is in a location with a lot of extractors for underground metals and rare metals and surprisingly, that dome has the smallest amount of Renegades.
Literally everything else in the colony is going great, making steady progress towards terraforming, have a rich rare metal + exotic mineral asteroid that's kept the mission well and profitable, most everything is a net positive resource flow now and what isn't is cheap enough to buy from Earth every few sols.
Just feel like I'm missing something with the game, like everything else makes sense but there's no clear reason why this one spinning plate won't balance back right. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I know I can just shove them in a dome and rehabilitate them or uhh "accidentally turn off life support," but it feels like a level of micromanagement that's not at all necessary (or satisfying) at this phase of the game. Which tells me I'm missing something...
