When you watch the actual shows, the Jedi and Sith are completely OP. They literally wipe out entire squads by themselves, and that is exactly how it is supposed to be. That overpowered feeling is the entire point of Star Wars lore. You can't expect a Star Wars shooter to just ignore the shows and treat lightsaber duelists like standard infantry. If Battlefront 3 leaves heroes out or nerfs them into the ground just to cater to a generic grunt shooter, it completely ruins the fantasy. The real allure of these games is stepping onto the battlefield as a powerful force user and turning the tide of the war, just like we see on screen.

I like the current shortened version of capital supremacy but when geonosis first dropped getting into 4+ hour long matches just had a certain charm to it that made it really feel like I was in the actual clone wars

I see lots of posts about it the last day but I don’t see if it’s been confirmed. Is it all still rumours or what’s going on.

By proxy, this would mean we would have to get an extended support class (combat medic) just to add to the depth of infantry fights, whether you're in a mode relying on territorial control or just an outright fight based on amount of team tickets.

Im not opposed to the idea, it would actually amplify the relevancy and effectiveness of infantry roles despite hero classes being active (if they include those).

I’ve seen lots of talk about Battlefront 3 lately since there’s FINALLY a chance we’re getting it, and everyone I’ve seen who’s mentioned the idea of an extraction mode seems to not want it at all. Why is that exactly?

There would still be tons of other core modes like Galactic Conquest, Heroes vs. Villains, Co-op, Supremacy, and much more things that gets the fanbase hooked, but why draw the line at an extraction shooter? Is it not captivating? Would it ruin the game? Or is it something else I’m not getting? Curious to hear your thoughts.

Personally I kinda want a new unique spin. The whole weird alternate timeline story with Emperor Vader and Sith Yoda was interesting to me.

Paid content is inevitable in Battlefront 3, so how should the devs go about implementing it? The loot crate system didn’t work in BF2, and BF 2015 had DLC expansion packs that I thought were handled fine.

What would you guys like to see Battlefront 3 monetize? What shouldn’t they do?

If the rumors are true and Battlefront III will finally be reality. It can be closer then you think Battlefront 2 development time was 2 years! They had a lot of assets from 1 but i think graphically it still holds up. So I dont think we have to wait 5 years!

Don't fool yourselves. Anybody who is following the trends of the industry for the past 8 years or so knows exactly how this will run.

But as long they don't gatekeep actual features, modes, maps and characters behind a paywall, this is for the best if we expect this game to last for years and years. They have to make money out of it if we want post launch content.

Paid Battle pass that will grant Clone variations skins, weapon camon, vehicle customization, emotes, victory poses, heroes alternative skins...

But we have to be okay with that. This is purely cosmetics and will not affect gameplay.

Better to be prepared already than be surprised when it launches.

This is just the reality of the industry right now. And that's kind of okay.

BF2 is pretty much perfect IMO. Hardly any bugs, cool maps, characters, appearances, voice lines, etc.

I basically just want BF3 to be a DLC to that. Maybe they can add more customization, (a custom clone trooper / storm trooper thing similar to Halo would be SICKKK).

Adding to the level up system would be great. You should unlock something with each level, and your rank should be displayed in some way (similar to COD lobbies). And on top of that, lobbies should NOT disband after every game. Literally nobody likes that.

They’ve got to add more heroes too. No Mace Windu is a CRIME. Plus a ton more people.

More maps, more game modes, bring back galactic conquest. Also whatever that game mode where you start in a fighter ship then it turns to supremacy would be sick.

But don’t change the game too much PLEASE. I really would hate if it gets cartoonish the way Halo changed overtime. It’s gotta have that Star Wars dark realism of “we’re at WAR here” kind of thing.

Over the last days there’s been a lot of rumours and apparently new info came out an hour ago that ea and dice are working on bf3. I’ve searched up on google but it keeps switching from saying it’s confirmed to there’s a good chance. So is it actually confirmed yet?

I don't think you guys understand what that could mean for the alleged game. They didn't just develop a game with one of the best modern lightsaber mechanics and an incredible story, they ALSO developed Apex Legends and, most importantly, Titanfall. If they are indeed working of Battlefront 3, we're about to wintness some of the most fun, fast paced and dynamic space and ground Star Wars gameplay to date. I *AM* willing to sacrifice Titanfall 3 if that means they're gonna be the lead developers on this game. They know their shit when it comes to Star Wars, unique heroes and fun gunplay (Apex remains my favorite competitive shooter). I am beyond hyped for this.

Just some things I think should be included/not included based on what I’ve seen from the first 2 EA battlefronts:

1. Crossplay between consoles. This is self explanatory, more players available=game survives for longer and more obscure gamemodes don’t die.

2. Absolutely NO season pass or paid DLC maps. We learned from Battlefront 1 that this is a very quick way to kill the game.

3. No pay to win microtransactions in general. I think item shop/season pass style microtransactions for cosmetics is the way to go. This would ensure they have a steady cash flow to keep the game updated for years after launch.

4. Ranked HvV. HvV is loved as the second most popular gamemode, but the single biggest complaint I have seen since launch is new/less skilled players not having fun because they are getting steamrolled by max levels. I think introducing an MMR/SBMM style ranking system would solve this problem. For larger gamemodes like GC and Supremacy I don’t think it’s as necessary.

I actually cannot believe it. I've been fighting for years about battlefront 3 to be real and it was sooo worth it. For anyone who's become the witness of the confirmation of Battlefront 3 can upvote this post.

With some damning good evidence BF3 might actually be happening, what are some things you would like to see?

Campaign:
I was quite disappointed in BF2 campaign for a multitude of reasons, what id like to see in a new campaign is a focus on clone wars to the rise and fall of the empire (like the original bf2 2005). A single player/co-op/ multiplayer campaign where you’re a ordinary grunt in the 501st, maybe throughout the missions you can be promoted to arc trooper to take on more specified missions and eventually lead to joining vaders fist and emerging as the empire, then following him until his eventual death.

Hero’s/villians
I’m limiting myself to 8 each side (5 saber 3 blaster) for release and hopefully more will be added as time goes on

Hero’s: anakin, obi, Han, leia, ahsoka, windu, Rex, Luke

Villians: emperor, Vader, jango, ventress, savage, cad bane, maul, moff Gideon

Overall i think having a heavy focus on the prequel and sequel trilogy’s is what a lot of fans want to see, a more gritty depiction of what true warfare looked like in the republic vs cis and rebellion vs empire eras of Star Wars.

I’m not saying we should totally ignore the sequels i think they would come down the line and add more as more Star Wars content comes out, i also thing it would be interesting if they explored the old republic in future dlc.

With Battlefront 3 being all but confirmed at this point, my mind has been running wild with possibilities for what the game could actually include. I think most people are just hoping for "BF2 2017, but more," which feels pretty plausible especially since DICE is developing it again.

What I’m really wondering about though is what they're going to do with the 3 distinct eras BF2 had. Do we think it's likely they'll be presented the exact same way (Republic, Rebellion, Resistance), or do you think there will be more nuance to them this time around?

For example, instead of just a blanket "Prequels" era, could we see dedicated Clone Wars setups separated from early-Empire stuff? Or even crazier, dipping into pre-Phantom Menace content? High Republic or even Old Republic matches would be huge for map and hero variety.

Same goes for the later timeline. While I don't think Disney would abandon the Sequel era entirely, I feel like they might put way more emphasis on the post-ROTJ / pre-Force Awakens era given the success they've had with The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and all the Thrawn buildup. Having New Republic or Mandalorian factions going up against Thrawn and Moff Gideon would be pretty sick.

Lastly I really hope they do stick to era-locking heroes this time around. The best moments ive had in BF2 were when I was super immersed in what felt like a highly accurate (or at least possible) battle. Seeing Rey on Geonosis kinda just ruins that for me. If they have a way larger roster of characters I think it only makes sense.

Regardless im just incredibly hyped to see what they cook up.

I know I will antagonize most of you with following sentence but I have to share it with you.

I care the most about the starfighter assault mode. BF2 has perfected the physics and the feel of flying spaceships and fighting them. I fear that other developer may butcher it, or even not include it at all :(

I know majority of gamers care the most about the regular modes that you could expect a game like that (shooting as a person / some droid).

But the Starfigher modes are so unique and feel great to play. The only downside to them is that they lack content (maps,maps,maps and maybe a mode or two).

And ,,go play Squadron if you love the starfighters so much'' does not work with me. The physics of that game and mechanics just don't click right with me. Current Starfighter mode has the right ,,arcade'' feel to me that I love.
