Want a libre file system for my external HDD's that archive my movies which I watch several times a week.

Was using EXFAT but discovered it's Microsoft. Was considering ZFS as heard it was good but discovered it has some weird licensing stuff.

Looking for a FSF compliant lossless image format.

TIFF seems popular but I can't find anything concrete on whether it's FSF complaint. Is it? Or should I use something else?

it used to be one toggle, now it's about a dozen settings spread around, some under screen time, and even with all of them off the models stay on disk

your computer, your disk, but apple decides

i wrote a free tool (MIT) that turns all of it off, deletes the models and stops macos from downloading them again, and everything can be undone
