3.6HD holster with lights

I know another poster asked about this and got Tenicor as the primary response, however I already have a Tenicor and am looking for other options, or what is second best. I have found that ordering 2x holsters for each carry gun, while expensive, allows me to at least give another company a shot at this and sometimes find some things I like better about the “meta” choice

Thanks all

Using SureFire XC-3

Which nub mod?

I just ordered the Safariland 6354RDSO-ALS holster for my XC. I really like the nub mod on the holster for my HD. Does anyone else have this holster for their XC and already have the nub mod? I can’t figure out which one is supposed to fit this holster. I could just wait until I get the holster, but I was trying to get everything as soon as possible without waiting on parts.

10-8 Performance HD Magazine Base Pads on 15 round magazine

Thumbnail

My Staccato HD C4X came with the flared magwell, so one con I noticed with it was how thin the stock base pads are when having the magwell attached. Since they are too thin, really have to smack the mags when inserting and also hard to pull out mags in case of a malfunction (fortunately so far I have no malfunctions).

10-8 designed the base pads for the 18 round HD magazine, but Hilton confirmed that they are compatible with the 15 round magazine and C3.6/C4X magwell when I emailed him.

With the base pads, magazines are much easier to insert. While the extraction grooves do not stick out enough to assist with pulling out the magazine, at least the base pads still do make the magazines easier to remove.

Honest review of P4x HD

I purchased the p4x about a month ago. Super excited to join the staccato family and experience the hype.

I will get right to it. These are MY personal experiences. It's not an indictment on staccato as a whole.

It's just a preference thing, but i did not like the trijicon suppressor sight. Just threw me off. Put a dot on and got it zero'd, the gun is incredibly accurate and shoots great. Shoots really fast.

The beaver tail has this flair to it that digs in to my thumb, right above the webbing between my thumb and index finger. Its not the end of the world but its a little annoying. After a few hundred rounds at the range, it starts bothering me. None of my other guns have this issue. Again for some people they may not notice it or it may not bother them. But for me it did.

The number one issue now... it is stovepiping. ALOT. I had 2 failures in the same mag. Every range trip so far i've had issues. Yes it's broken in. I have at least 1k rounds through it now. I have oiled it twice and cleaned it fully once. I mainly use 115g, but have also used the recommended 124g. It seems to get worse when using 115, and the gun gets hot. It appears to me to have a very weak extraction system. I took videos of me shooting it, and you can see the spent casings are barely going maybe a foot, if not outright just kind of falling out. I took another video shooting my mp 2.0 HD, and they are FLYING probably 5-6 feet with ease.

I understand there are tight tolerances and what not (my cz shadow 2 orange i believe has even tighter tolerances, and shoots ANYTHING and EVERYTHING reliably for thousands of roudns), but for a gun that is marketed as "heavy duty", it feels anything but. Sorry but "heavy duty" should be able to be thrown in mud, ran through a river, not cleaned for 2-3k rounds, and shoot anything flawlessly, especially for nearly 4k. I would have bought the XC if it was going to be something I needed to baby and clean after every mag.

I will say that I do really like the gun, but its concerning to have this issue. When my $500 guns are outperforming it reliability wise, thats a major red flag. I will say Stac has EXCELLENT customer service. Some of the best of any industry i've dealt with. They offered to open a warranty claim. I saw a video of a guy who had the same problem, sent it in, and STILL had the stovepiping issue after they repaired it.

I want to love this gun, and I want to make it work, but its disappointing to have these issues with that price tag.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

UPDATE

After lots of research and phone calls to staccato, i oiled the gun heavily (all the stores near me swear by gun butter so thats what i used), and went up to 124 g (blazer brass) that i had laying around.

It performed flawlessly. It's such a relief as I was having serious buyers remorse. This thing shoots FAST. I was unconsciously just dumping mag after mag at near full speed. I'm still a bit annoyed that they market it as heavy duty and it's what i refer to as special needs, but i can live with it. I stopped looking for things to replace it at this point. Who knows what the future holds but for now I can say as long as you run it the way it wants to be run, you won't be disappointed.

Staccato cs23

Looking for a 2023 Staccato CS appendix holster. A lot of holster options for the 2023 CS have been discontinued, so finding one has been a little difficult.
My personal preference is the Tier 1 Concealed Axis Elite, but I’m open to other quality options that fit the 2023 model.
If anyone has one for sale or knows a company still making them, please let me know! 🤙🏼

Anyone know if they plan on releasing a threaded barrel service for the HD4? Would love to get this done instead of the 3.6

Finish wearing off Staccato P

Post image
7 Upvotes

I have about 2,000 rounds through my Staccato P and recently noticed some finish wear on the bottom of the slide about 1/2 inch behind the comp, exposing the bare metal. Has anyone else experienced this? Reach out to Staccato or is this normal?

Thanks

Just installed the optic on my C and when putting it back together it gets stuck. The slide stop pin won’t remove and I can’t get the slide into full battery.

I know they will email me but I ordered my XL about two weeks ago. I keep checking the site multiple times a day.

P4x HD shooting low and left

Before I begin, Yes, I know it's me.

Picked up the P4x last week. I'm a maybe slightly above average shooter. I'm good not great.

I put a couple hundred rounds through it... I cannot consistently shoot this thing straight. I am constantly low and to the left. I know that's an anticipation thing. But i was shooting my p10c and my shadow 2 orange just fine during the same range session.

The only thing I'm thinking is i do not like the trijicon suppressor sights. Something about the big yellow/green circle is just too big compared to say my shadow 2.

The range officer (who is a superb shooter) had no problem putting 3 rounds through the same hole. So i know it is not the gun.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I ordered an optics plate and I'm going to put a dot on it and see if that helps. I also ordered a red tritium front sight from Dawson precision that appears to look like more like front sight on my shadow 2.

Any insight would be appreciated!

*C4X. Sorry brain fart.

Was looking to get one of these eventually as a EDC since I already have the P and XC. Found a good deal on this preferred package on Gunbroker so had to pick it up.

Just curious, what are your EDC setups looking like these days? My CS is about the only thing that stays constant. Trying out this American made Kershaw Launch 20 to see if it makes the rotation. Just getting into the American made knives scene here so would love to see some of them.

My original photos made it look yellow for some reason. Here it is in its’ natural surroundings. Did 800 rounds today to wear in the Cerakote on the frame. My buddy’s books are open with a short backlog. Hit me up on DM if you are interested. We are in Bend Oregon.
