A Challenge to All Sporting KC Supporters
I remember going to Sporting Park for the first time 10-15 years ago with my dad.
We got seats in the Cauldron - as the heart of where Kansas City’s most passionate, die-hard fans would come together - stemming a culture that earned the reputation as being the soccer capital of America.
A squad that certainly had the talent, with many USMNT regulars. But with Peter Vermes at the helm, we had all the pieces needed to field a team to compete at the highest level.
These memories are now long gone.
I want opponents to walk into Blue Hell with fear. They should dread coming here to play, but now this is merely a farce.
It’s obvious that the lack of quality/competitiveness is an easy excuse to point our fingers at, but let’s face it…
The Cauldron is dead.
Fans are being discouraged from being rowdy because of swear words?
This is not junior varsity soccer. This is a team with a respected history in Major League Soccer.
I understand and encourage casual attendees of course, but why are we ousting people who would buy season tickets to support a team they love?
The politics need to be stripped out of the Cauldron immediately. Whoever in the self-created hierarchy that put themselves in charge of it should step aside and not discourage a hostile environment in the Cauldron.
It's time we start the Sporting Kansas City rebuild from the stands. I challenge YOU and anyone with an interest in this Club's success to show up at the October 31 match vs Dallas IN THE CAULDRON ready to get FUCKING LOUD.
Whether it's 2 of us or 200 of us, we'll be there ready to show ownership it's time to invest in this club and that we are ready to win again.
Tickets are ~$15. See you in White Lot prior to kickoff. BRING BEER -
