Hey everyone! It has been a minute since I was active here. Life has just been super busy lately, but I wanted to drop in to share a massive milestone and check in on all of you.

​As you can see in the screenshot, I officially hit 7 years sober from alcohol yesterday! Reaching this mark really made me want to reconnect and make this a space for open discussion again.

​On the stacking front, I actually paused buying gold and silver after the price run-up earlier this year. I definitely plan to make another purchase before the year ends. The quantity will depend on where spot prices land at the time, and I will be sure to share the haul here when I do.

​In the meantime, my collecting bug shifted gears. Instead of bullion, I have been pouring my focus into high-end pocket knives and machined pens. I originally told myself I would just buy one nice knife and pen a year, but things kind of got away from me. I am now up to about 12 knives in the $700 to $2,000 range, hunting down pieces like Oz Rosies and Prince Customs Proteans, Rocksteads, Tactile Knife Co, plus a similar number of pens. Thankfully the pens are much cheaper!

Hello community!! First time poster long time lurker of Reddit. Seems like a great place to find connections.
I’m 26F, I’ve been sober from alcohol and drugs since November 21st 2025. I haven’t worked a program or had a sponsor but I’m coming up on 7 months and would like to stay sober. I listen to recovery podcasts but other than that I’m pretty alone in this journey.

Hey y'all, I'll have 1000 days sober in a couple of months, and I would like to get a silver coin to specifically commemorate it. I've kind of looked online and haven't come up with much. Is there anywhere I can look that's trustworthy for that sort of thing? If not I'll probably just get something unique from Monumental. Thanks in advance!

Last time I was in Mexico I came across this collection of Coins. They’re not Silver. They’re not Gold, but they’re beautiful. And the price was right. Just wanted to show it off to you guys.

Last week on Tuesday, I picked up 200 ounces of silver rounds. I believe I got it at a killer price $78 out the door per ounce. I keep telling myself I’m done buying Silver but I just don’t stop. I have way too much Silver. to the point where when I move it’s going to be a real real issue. I don’t store it at home, but I’m planning on moving 500 miles away so that’s gonna be tough to move!

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Curious if anyone has any music recommendations for people dealing with grief? I know of an artist with music coming out in January- a bunch of songs she wrote while grieving her boyfriend who passed away from an overdose. I’ve seen her live and found the music so comforting to me both as an addict and someone who’s lost loved ones to addiction. I’m looking for more of the same.

Four years ago, I was a strung out mess in a highly stressful profession. I completely reevaluated my priorities. I got treatment and I work a program. I traded the gun collection a bit at a time for gold and silver, the booze for time with family and I've never been better.

I've left the stressful profession and I spend time with my kids. I've done it one day at a time and I wouldn't change a thing.

Today marks 6 years of sobriety for me, and I wanted to share that milestone with you all.

I might not know you personally, and maybe we’ll never meet in real life, but if you’re reading this… you matter. What you’re doing (choosing to fight for your peace, your clarity, your life) it matters more than you know.

This road isn’t easy, and it doesn’t always feel exciting or perfect. But every sober day you wake up and keep going... that’s real strength.

Thank you all for being part of this little corner of the internet. I’ve been quiet on here for a while (life’s been a bit chaotic), but I see you all, and I’m proud of what this community is growing into.

I’ll post some photos later of the little “gifts” I got myself for the occasion... just a reminder that it’s okay to celebrate yourself for how far you’ve come.
