I wanna make thick smoothies, but the nutribullet recommends using a certain amount of liquid, while making it thick requires using only a small amount. Could this break it?

As the title says, my Ninja twisti blender which I’ve been using almost daily for smoothies for a little over two years has started to emit this burning plastic/burning rubber smell when I use it. I’m guessing that means the blender is just done for and I should get a new one, but I wanted to see what folks had to say if there was maybe a solution before I just chuck it out. If there is a solution that would be great! I only use the “nutrient extraction” cup as shown on the first picture. Nothings wrong with the cup, but the blades do seem resistant to turning, which I imagine could be the cause of some issues. Not sure.
TLDR; Ninja TWISTi blender used daily >2 years making burning smells now when used

This healthy mocha smoothie made with Japanese sweet potatoes is one of my favorite concoctions when I need to wake up and feel nourished at the same time. Sweet potatoes of all kinds are surprisingly delicious in smoothies and Japanese sweet potatoes with the purple skin are the sweetest I've used.
Blitz together until smooth:
▪1½ cup plant milk, unsweetened (use dairy milk if you prefer)
▪1 cup Japanese sweet potato, cooked in oven then peeled
▪¼ cup dates (packed), chopped then measured
▪1 Tbsp nut butter (or sub with tahini or sunflower seed butter)
▪1 Tbsp cocoa powder
▪1½ tsp instant coffee
▪½ tsp vanilla extract
▪¼ to ½ cup ice cubes (optional)
Without the ice, this recipe makes approximately 22 oz (one very large smoothie or two medium smoothies).

I know you guys get this question all the time, but I am so lost in which brand to get even after reading. So I figured I'd just ask and see what people personally tell me. My only request is no Vitamix suggestions, please. Way too expensive. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been getting really into smoothie-making lately and I was curious about healthy smoothies but a lot of the ones of seen are misleading about the benefits. Are there any recipes that actually work?

Hi guys!
This was my first time making smoothies. I made two, one blueberry and one chocolate. I had milk, greek yogurt, plain whey isolate, honey, frozen berries, bananas and milk. It tasted chalky so I made the cocoa one without protein powder, it also tasted bad and slightly sour/bitter.

Yesterday I bought portable blender from kitchen aid Go cordless personal blender 12V series. I had read great reviews about it online. It was brand new, inbox. followed the instructions, charged the battery to its max. Snap the battery in, aligned the tabs, power on … nothing. I tried many times. also the seal on the jar literally fused itself. I couldn’t get it to open and I had water in it. After some tries and help from my old man, I was able to drain the liquid out. It went back in its box… off to the store.
I was able to exchange the defective kitchen aid for a Ninja Professional Auto-IQ which I got on sale for $80 instead of $180 at Canadian Tire.
I haven’t used it yet, I plan on making my morning shakes, soups, all kinds of things. The knives are so sharp you can probably chop meat..
This is my first blender and first Ninja product and overall I’m quite impressed about the build quality. It’s heavy duty!! Looking forward to it.

I want to try new fruit to be honest. but does anyone have any ideas of what to pair with mango, or favorited recipes at all?

I alternate between using Kathy Ireland chocolate protein powder and Bob's Red Mill hemp protein powder. Any suggestions for unflavored powders. I prefer organic, sugar and additive free and not too expensive.
Thanks.
