Weekly Weigh-In Thread
Hi all! Welcome to the weekly weigh-in thread, which refreshes every Tuesday!
How did you all get on this week?

Just found the sub today after starting back to slimming world on 1st September after a year and a half away. I’m not massively overweight but looking to loose about two stone following the birth of my son and due to getting out of the way of things due to Covid etc (excuses really)
Thought I would set up a post so people can introduce themselves and their motivation for slimming if it’s easier this way ?
Looking forward to sharing ideas and being part of the community
Apologies if there is already a welcome thread

Hello everyone!
We created a discord chat room in support of this subreddit for anyone to join and wants to join an active online chat community.
Discord is a free app dedicated to users who want to create communities around their interests.
You can download the app in both the Android and the Apple app store by searching Discord or by clicking the link to the invite.
You need the invite link to join our personal discord.
We welcome everyone where ever they are on their weight loss journey, even if you haven't started it yet and just want somewhere to talk and learn about it.
We are a very relaxed, friendly and welcoming discord with many members who are always happy to chat and help. No one is there to judge others and we welcome open discussions on most topics, as well as weight loss.
Come and introduce yourself, and join us!
We look forward to seeing you there. 😊
When I joined this subreddit years ago, there was an active discord available to hang out in, and around early last year, it just seemed to vanish entirely. After it disappeared, myself and others from the previous discord created a new one for weight loss support, and we would like to invite everyone to join us!
Don't worry, the link does work as it has been tried and tested many times.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
You can find us here:

I weighed in at another group and was half a pound under target bubble. I missed the following week at my "home" meeting. Due to go today but would rather not. How much will I have to pay when I go back?

Hello.
I've accumulated a fair few bottles of mainly port and sherry. I've never been much of a drinker and, being on SW, I've even less occasion to drink it.
If you cooked with it, would you still have to SWIP it? Would it be the same as if it was neat?

Any recommendations for Slimming World members to follow on Facebook? There's loads of consultants, hoping to find members sharing on their journey.

Can't quite believe it. 20 weeks in and still feel like I'm just beginning.
Sharing here because I've no one to share it with and I want to acknowledge it.
Keep going peeps, it's really does work 🥹

I did slimming world around 10 years ago, lost a few stone and felt great! Unfortunately as is always the way, the weight (and more) has piled back on, and I now weigh just under 18 stone and look and feel like shit. So yesterday I’ve rejoined SW (online) so here goes.
One thing I’ve always struggled with is what to eat for breakfast/lunch in the office - my office has minimal kitchen facilities and I prefer to just sit at my desk eating.
Any ideas for quick meals I can prepare in the office to get me through the day?

(Ignore the dirty mirror) I wore this dress last Christmas and it was skin tight on me and stretched, now the chest area is loose! Still got some more to lose, but I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now :)
I also have been attending several exercise classes since Jan and am loving the results from them (I've never been one to enjoy exercise!)

Hi all, joined eight weeks ago and I am putting on weight despite following the rules. Eat yogurt and berries or porridge and berries most mornings, fish/chicken and salad for lunch and some kind of pasta or rice dish for dinner yet I have put on 3lbs overall since joining. There has been some weight loss some weeks but 3lbs on one week. What am I doing wrong?! I am going to the gym doing half hour fast treadmill three times a week too. It's really disappointing.
Has anyone else had similar experience in perimenopause?

Hi all I’ve been going to Sw for 21 weeks and just got my 1.5 stones award, I have seen other people in our group lose 2 stone in 12 weeks and I can’t help but feel I’m losing the weight “too slowly”? I also love looking at the success stories but again wonder how fast they lost the weight feel like I’m going too slowly? Anyone else feeling the same? Lots of love to you all 🙂 SW 18 stone 10.5

Around when I first started slimming would in February I used fromage frais for a slimming world recipe. Now I want to use it again for a different recipe and all of a sudden it's no where to be found. Asda where i originally bought it from no longer sell it and I don't see it anywhere.
I find the same problem with quark where I barely see any anymore. Asda no longer sell their own brand quark and now sell an arla one.

Somehow I managed to get Slimmer of the Month for both August and September, losing 6.5lbs and 6lbs respectively!
What surprises me is that I honestly eat loads, especially pasta, and I barely exercise. I might go for an hour-long walk once or twice a week, but that's about it. Slimming World is such a strange concept when you think about it, with all the free foods and the amount you can eat, but somehow it really does work!
I definitely won't be getting it for October though... It was my birthday last weekend and I've just got back from a week on holiday, where I completely came off plan and enjoyed myself.
Weigh-in tomorrow... then back to it!

Hi All, hoping you can help!
I am going to make the slimming world Swip Free Mild and Creamy Chicken Korma from the app, and one of the ingredients listed is 'Plain Unsweetened Coconut Drink'??
Can anyone confirm if this is coconut milk/water or the tins/cans of coconut milk?
Don't want to end up swip heavy without realising it!
Thanks in advance :)

My partner has joined Slimming world and she is doing really well on it. I was previously a member but have stopped going. What I’ve been sort of doing is following along and eating similar meals to her recently. However I would like to start eating less meat and dairy and go more plant based. She likes veggie food but she probably doesn’t want to eat plant based full time.
Any tips for maintaining plant based when someone else isn’t?

I don’t want to be one of those people where if the family is having a takeaway I’m sat there with a salad
Is it ok to have a takeaway every now and then?

I’m looking for friends who are doing this too, so we can talk here, post our progress, and help each other keep up the grind. Also, like an AA group
