What?! How dare you? Everyone knows you can't be racist towards white people!

You’re clearly not trying hard enough. 😁

Trying for what exactly? To spend more time online than with a significant other? Lol, whoa, you’re like, SO cool! I hope that I can get as many “virgin points” as you one day!

I was joking, but actually you’re pretty spot on. I need to get out more for sure.

An uncomfortable truth

Not really after bodycam videos became a thing. Now we can all watch practically unlimited examples of what actually happened from those people who say, "I didn't do nuthing, the cops are just racist."

What where

MidwestSafety is a top-tier one on YouTube. But there's plenty of others. Some channels specialize in high-speed car chases. Some specialize in interviews with murderers. There's even ones that specialize in cop-on-cop arrests, for when other police officers commit crimes and get arrested. Whatever you enjoy watching, there's options out there now. Turn on your ad-blocker and grab some popcorn. It's like the new version of Cops (the tv show), but better.

Ow they want to ban body cams because they're "racist," the very thing they demanded in the first place.

Do yourself a favor and do a ridealong or two.

u/Maximum_Boros 2h ago
lol ridealongs. Deliberately curated propaganda tours where cops are on their best behavior to create a selection bias and if possible recruit some minor to groom.
I can't imagine being dumb enough to think those are actually representative of day to day law enforcement.

u/swinchester83 1h ago
Ridealongs don't do traffic stops like this and you don't get of the car so you'd have no idea what happened anyway.

I've seen thousands of body cam videos, and I find it hilarious just how unrepresentative of reality this skit is. Most of the time these people escalate what would've otherwise been a peaceful stop into some crazy shit.

I watched a video where the officer told the guy to get out of his car. He opened the door to the car slowly with other hand still in air, and cop just lost it and dragged him by his dreads out of his window with the door open.
It was just like these skits. The cop just loses it suddenly because the guy is black. No other reason. Just a racist cop who shouldn't have a badge

Skits like this imply it's common, which is the problem. It's not; the incident you're referring to is probably like one in a hundred thousand traffic stops where one cop has a bad day and takes it out on a suspect. 99% of the time, if you comply, absolutely nothing bad will happen to you, because most cops just wanna do the job and go home.
Also, it wasn't just like this skit; to my recollection, the guy getting dragged was refusing to exit the car, or it was the culmination of something which had happened before. Cops don't just pull you over and start dragging you out of the car immediately for no reason other than your skin colour.

No. The entire stop was on video. When I say the guy was complying I mean it.

Do you have a link to the video you're referencing? We must be thinking about different stops.

Rather than arguing over what the skit “implies” or how common “common” is, why don’t we ask what the typical recourse is for a citizen in this situation and what accountability the officer faces? That’s a less ambiguous way to have the same conversation.

Why would you do that? And how? Are you a cop?

Because they're entertaining and available on YouTube. No, I'm not a cop.

Ummm... this video is seriously problematic by not addressing the toxic allyship of BIPOC individuals in neo-colonial identity-fluid spaces! Maybe, uh, interrogate your own implicit bias instead of dogwhistling systemic violence against Black bodies!? STOP BEING A KAREN!!!

cops dont look like that. they are tatted and roided up, wearing armor, tun and taser visible, sunglasses so you cant really id them
this looks more like an AI strip-o-gram
