Jabba was actually very cunning whereas Trump's an idiot. And let's face it, Jabba certainly couldn't be doing a worse job than Trump.

u/gambit1999999 Sep 11 '26
Honestly, when you think about Mos Estly, you dont really see too much crime. The air ways are also safe. Which would honestly be a huge upgrade.
52
u/Melliorin Sep 11 '26
That Jabba the Hutt would maoe a better leader than Trump, rhis is the sad but true state we are in, in America.
17
u/Chat322 Sep 11 '26
The mob being the better option is crazy if you've seen what they did in Sicily.

It's not that complex. The mob is trying to buy their way to leniency with a few feel-good acts here and there. If anyone in those soup kitchens, or breakfast school children ever tried to reduce their money & power, they'd murder them in an instant.
4
u/UranusIsPissy Sep 11 '26
The cartels did a better job than the government at handling the covid pandemic in Colombia (but used methods as extreme as any fascist government), if what I read is true. Maybe that's part of the reason that government got voted out in the next elections. They sucked in other ways, though, enough to make people protest.
4
u/neko Sep 11 '26
Also multiple organized crime groups around the world have run soup kitchens and free breakfasts for schoolchildren, which are both strongly opposed by our government
4
u/calilac Sep 11 '26
tbf a lot of governments are just an organized crime group (or groups stacked on top of each other) in a trench coat.
1
u/Constant-Plastic-350 Sep 12 '26
Yea him bringing back slavery would be great too right
2
u/Melliorin Sep 12 '26
Nah, no need. We've found new ways to induce slavery in the modern context already. No need to call it what it actually is; it's working just fine as is.
3
u/Constant-Plastic-350 Sep 12 '26
Jabba prefers his enslavement to be old school. For the love of the game
2
9
u/throwaway1138 Sep 11 '26
Unsecured borders. You didn't hear about that drug smuggler with cartel connections who blasted his way out of the spaceport with known terrorists? Also those Hutts are transgender freaks who self impregnate or some woke lib'ral crap like that. I saw this weird gay gold robot there too, how am I supposed to explain that to my kids? Anyway, I hear Alderaan is developing WMDs so I gotta go blow them up first, better fight them over there than over here right?
(Best I could do off the cuff)
3
13
u/tinspoons Sep 11 '26
True, but Jabba was also a corrupt crime lord who made his inner circle treat him like a god and while doing all kinds of depraved acts for his whim and pleasure, so that part fits well.
3
u/genreprank Sep 11 '26
Any crime boss is gonna be the same kind of narcissistic sociopath as trump. The difference is they would be smarter. Because democracy allows trump to win in spite of being a complete moron
5
u/malseraph Sep 11 '26
Trump's job is to be a lightning rod for criticism. He distracts people from focusing on what the rest of his administration and the GOP in general are doing. People should be way more focused on what people like Stephen Miller and Russell Vought are doing to undermine democracy, erode civil rights and enrich the wealthy.
4
u/favorite_time_of_day Sep 11 '26
There's a saying that if you have to choose between the crook and the idiot, you should choose the crook. At least the crook has some motivation to keep things going.
Of course... with Trump and Jabba there isn't much of a choice, is there?
Jabba's method was to feed anyone who displeased him to the rancor. I wonder if his bodycount would be as high as Trump's.
2
u/legrandmaster Sep 11 '26
But Trump is both a crook and an idiot (as well as rapist, felon, asshole, etc.). He makes Jabba look like a saint by comparison.
2
u/PiccoloAwkward465 Sep 11 '26
It's not even like Trump really "took over". They just kinda gave him all the reins of power lol. Congress seems relieved to not have to do their jobs anymore.

I don't even think it's possible to do a worse job than trump and I don't even mean that as a political statement. He doesn't have an actual agenda besides making himself and his friends even more rich and everything else is just him finding something he wants and acts on them instantly like a little child and let his advisors handle the fallout. Literally every adult alive could do that job equally "good" or even better...
1
u/2WheelSuperiority Sep 12 '26
Trump's been president twice and ran his own slave trade industry...
Yet you say he's not cunning.
1
u/SheriffBartholomew Sep 11 '26
Trump's an idiot.
He sure seems like one, but he's gotta be the most successful idiot in history. He skirts responsibility at every turn, evades consequences, gets everything he wants, and has captured the entire United States government under his control. It's baffling to me why anyone would work with him, let alone worship him, but it's very difficult to reconcile his moronic behavior and speech with his actual results. I can't help but wonder if it's all the most elaborate act ever seen in politics before.

Back in my day we had the decency to crop before reposting

It's not a bad thing that they didn't crop out the sub here. Also it is cropped just to the borders of the post.

How was this ever infuriating?
40
u/Schmetterlizlak Sep 11 '26
It's infuriating if you're a trumpist in denial that the entire world is laughing at them
5
u/throwaway1138 Sep 11 '26
Just fyi, I left the US three days before the inauguration last year. And I've encountered a LOT of people who like and support him and wish their countries would follow. Honestly it feels like I meet more pro Trump people abroad than haters. It's really baffling, but doesn't do us any favors by pretending the whole world hates him and Maga. It's scary out there man
4
u/UranusIsPissy Sep 11 '26
Some of us aren't laughing. We're scared. A country that powerful turning fascist is serious shit worldwide, especially with the same shit (to a lesser extent, mostly) happening elsewhere.

Sure, but if that were the point of the original post would it be there?

Maybe someone thought the point of the sub is to be mildly infuriating. Like you don't post pictures of circlejerks in circlejerk subs, but you actively circlejerk in those.

Leia was not a spineless coward who sat and did nothing tho

27
u/Ok-Relationship-2746 Sep 11 '26
Carrie Fisher was like 27 in that movie. Too old for the fat orange turd.
2
u/UranusIsPissy Sep 11 '26
People call me creepy for being with a woman that age when I'm nearly 40. People who defend that sick fuck who'd probably fuck a girl who's not even finished puberty when he's going senile already, and would've (maybe did, I'd rather not know TBH) done it before his mind started deteriorating. WTF?!
19
u/dream208 Sep 11 '26
US voted in Trump. Most of US voters don't get to play victims like Leia.
8
u/Frewdy1 Sep 11 '26
To be fair, most US voters voted for someone that wasn’t Trump.

u/AstroPozzo Sep 11 '26 edited Sep 11 '26
1/3 voted for him. 1/3 were okay if he won and didn't do anything and 1/3 voted against him and then decided to do nothing while Trump and Republicans destroy their Country
1
u/LegalizeCrystalMeth Sep 11 '26
Hate this take tbh. Voting is the system meant to prevent violent revolutions. The shit bag won. He gets to ruin the country for four years, all we can do is try to vote again and hope the outcome is better. We can talk, we can protest, but I'm not going upend the system like a January 6er because I don't like how democracy worked.
2
u/AstroPozzo Sep 11 '26
we can protest
You can't even do that. No, going for a walk on a sunny day once a year doesn't count as a protest
2
u/YellowBelliedCoward Sep 11 '26
Trump wom the popular vote at the last election.
7
5
u/matthias7600 Sep 11 '26
Elon rigged the vote, nevermind that Trump didn’t crack 50% and is now the least popular U.S. President in history.

Should be Netanyahu as Leia choking Statue of Liberty Jabba with Trump Salacious B. Crumb.
8
u/neo4025 Sep 11 '26
This is incredibly powerful . I love it. It takes two characters from the same universe, a French icon gifted to the U.S. a fat, pervy slob enslaving women, it’s people in general, immigration (which of course the Statue of Liberty is iconic for), but also democracy. I might be missing more. But I love it
3
u/ChimoEngr Sep 11 '26
Not at all. Leia resisted and killed Jabba. The Yanks are rolling over and letting Trump fuck them.

3
u/DedeLionforce Sep 11 '26
Jabba didn't rape kids, kill his own citizens, steal from them, etc. Jabba would have been WAAY better than Trump, unironically and this is slander on the good name of Jabba, in comparison.

Jabba was a ruthless and highly effective crime lord feared across the galaxy and even tolerated by the empire at the height of its power.
Very unfair to compare Jabba to a blabbering idiot who is simply looting what ever he can knowing he can give himself and friends presidential pre-pardons.

DRUMPF would be the BAD GUY in STAR WARS
Listen to your self! No wonder he keeps winning!
3
u/ReadingRainbowRocket Sep 11 '26
You don't actually think he's winning. You're aware of many objective ways he's not.
You see it as your performative duty to feign stupidity to publicly support him.
Which is stupid. You're not embarrassing anyone but yourself. You're shitting your pants and laughing that we smell it. The fuck happened to you to make you this way?
0
u/LifeConsideration981 Sep 11 '26
Do you know what an election is?
1
u/ReadingRainbowRocket Sep 12 '26
So won, not actively winning.
You're aware he's not actively winning, which is why you just pretended like you were talking about an election, which no one was.

Brother, this was made by a French artist in France. This is the world's view of us, not the "libtard" strawman you guys like to knock down.
Can't expect a MAGAt to understand why that's significant though. Good luck with midterms.
0
u/LifeConsideration981 Sep 11 '26
Lol I don’t care what the French think of us
1
u/Zeremxi Sep 11 '26
You sure buddy? You're up in this comment thread defending yourself an awful lot for someone who doesn't care.
Anyway, we already know you don't know enough to understand why our allies are important. After all, you're dumb enough to still think Trump's winning
