Open Source Application
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm a developer, and I use my personal Android phone for both app development and everyday activities.
One problem I kept running into was having to turn off Developer Options or USB Debugging whenever I needed to use banking or e-wallet apps. Then, when I went back to development, I had to enable everything again.
It wasn't a huge problem, but doing it repeatedly became frustrating, especially when testing apps throughout the day.
So I decided to build Dev Mode, a free and open-source Android utility that makes switching between development and everyday phone usage easier.
Here's what it can do:
- ⚡ One-Tap Toggles: Quickly enable or disable Developer Options, USB Debugging, and Wireless Debugging.
- 🛡️ App Shield: Automatically turns off Developer Options when opening selected banking or protected apps, then restores them afterward.
- 🔌 Shizuku Support: Set up the required permissions directly on your phone without a PC.
- 📱 Home Screen Widgets: Quick access to toggles and protected apps.
- 💻 Companion CLI: Control developer settings and connect to your Android device from your PC terminal.
- 🌍 20 Languages: Support for developers from different countries.
I also decided to make it open-source so other developers can inspect the code, suggest improvements, report bugs, and contribute.
The app is still evolving, and I'm continuously improving it based on feedback.

I'd really appreciate your honest feedback!
Would something like this be useful in your development workflow? What features would you like to see added?
