We adopted my Tonkinese because she did not get along with her previous caretaker's cat and he requested she be adopted by someone with the intention of keeping her as the only cat, so no, we will not be getting a companion for her 😂 I'm certain that would be the wrong move.
She also is... not very food-motivated? I'm pretty sure she was having stressful meals shared with the other cats, so she's always suspicious of new food, especially treats. She likes her mealtimes at specified times, she likes pouch mousses for special occasions and rewards. So none of those treat puzzles will work; I've tried even making my own out of cardboard and tubes. No dice, she doesn't care about finding treats.
The only "treat" she unexpectedly loves is one of those wooden teeth-cleaning sticks. She goes crazy for them.
At the same time, I do worry about her getting bored. It is very hot lately so we've been closing the shades (very upsetting for her sunbathing time) and she mostly just likes to loaf and cuddle with us. I'd like to find ways of keeping her active and engaged, but all the enrichment toys I see tend to be treat-based puzzles. Maybe even something she can do while we're out of the house.
Any ideas? She likes hunting little toys but is a lazy hunter; she doesn't want to chase them. Usually she brings them to us throughout the day and night as gifts, not as invitation to play. Her invitation to play, of course, is Halloween cat and galloping diagonally at me, and she LOVES playing hide-and-go-seek-tag. But she's not always in the mood for it, of course.
She absolutely LOVES watching Fire Emblem footage, for some reason--Sacred Stones is a favorite of hers but she is enjoying Fortune's Weave (Olympia is her favorite character, maybe because she's all dressed in colors she can see). Of course she likes bird feeder videos but my boyfriend does not want her becoming an iPad baby, which I respect, haha.
The teeth-cleaning stick has been the best solo brain-teaser but I don't want her getting bored of it. She likes that it's slippery and rolls across the hardwood floor and can also fit in her paws to cuddle, kick, and chase.
Pic of her usual way of being! She will always prefer to hang out over literally anything else, but she's a big cat and while the vet says she's just Big and they'll be worried if she loses weight, I did get complimented on how fit she is and I'd like to keep her that way, physically and mentally.

It's been a hot second but I wanted to about ~ H E R ~ again. (aka Valkyrie).
She's gotten more vocal lately. When I wake up in the morning and I sit up in bed she usually crawls into my lap a minute later and leans against my chest and purrs.
One day, I saw that she had some gunk on the very tip of her tail. I took her into the bathroom and only put the tip of her tail under warm water to wash it off. She screamed like it was under acid instead of water.
She doesn't like strangers at first! She's willing to warm up but it feels like she's a tsundere. It takes her two days to accept a stranger if she feels like it.
She likes having her rump slapped. My friend called her a sub and I threatened never to talk to her again.
She is perfect and if anything happened to her I would murder for her. ;w;

I got him 2 weeks ago from an online seller. I think he is a blue-point Siamese. This is my first cat and I love him so much. He’s the sweetest boy and super cuddly. He was born on July 19th, and I’m wondering when you neuter a kitten? I was thinking maybe at 5 months, before he starts spraying.

Princess...
TBH its more accurately Queen Freyja.
Shes a little bean, but she definitely runs the show around here.

Hi everyone! I posted something similar in r/ragdolls, but I’m curious about what Siamese owners think!
I live in a country where pedigree cat breeds aren't that common or well-known. Siamese and Persian cats seem to be more recognizable here, so people often assume my kitten belongs to one of those breeds.
My kitten's name is Lumine, and she's a seal point long-haired Ragdoll. Whenever people see her, some assume she's a Siamese because of her colorpoint pattern, while others think she's a Persian because of her fluffy fur. When I tell them she's a Ragdoll, some seem surprised because they're not really familiar with the breed.
So, I'm curious to hear from actual Siamese owners: If you saw Lumine without knowing her breed, would you mistake her for a Siamese, or would you immediately recognize that she's a Ragdoll? I'm also interested in knowing what features would make you distinguish her from a Siamese.
I'm not trying to compare the breeds negatively or anything! I'm just curious about how recognizable these breeds are to people who are more familiar with Siamese cats. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

He's my first Siamese. He was born in a barn, and he's about 4 months old. He's such a sweet, smart, playful little guy. I adore him.
I've noticed he likes to be touching me, even if just a paw. He sleeps next to me and sometimes on top of me. If he's lonely while I'm working he'll jump in my arms and I'll put him in a makeshift sling so he can nap while I work. I heard Siamese are needy, is this what y'all are talking about?

Kittens are a lot of work and he is super active even for a Siamese kitten, but he is so beautiful. I just can’t stop smiling at him every time he walks by.

I saw him at the shelter and immediately fell in love, adopted him a couple weeks ago. He is a senior boy and no one had even applied to adopt him which absolutely broke my heart. He was very shy and has quickly become the sweetest, cuddliest, chattiest little man. An absolute velcro cat. I adore him.
