Sharing my experience during the 9.9 Sale in case anyone else experienced something similar with SPayLater.
I bought an iPhone 17 Pro on Shopee for ₱65,512. My SPayLater limit was around ₱60k, so I paid ₱5,741 separately (upfront payment via Gcash), while ₱59,771 was placed on SPayLater.
At checkout, I selected the 6-month 0% installment option. The checkout screen clearly showed:
₱9,961.83 × 6 months — 0% Installment
Since ₱9,961.83 × 6 is approximately ₱59,771, I proceeded with the order.
However, after the order was completed, I checked my SPayLater installment details and was surprised to see:
• Total repayment: ₱72,715.77
• Installment Fee: ₱12,732.19
• Processing Fee: ₱212.58
• Monthly installment: \~₱12,119
I contacted Shopee through the Help Center and formally disputed the charge.
Shopee/Monee's Escalations Team confirmed that my order was eligible for the 0% interest promotion at checkout, but the promotion was not successfully applied due to a system issue that occurred when I used split payment with GCash.
They said they coordinated with their Internal Team and arranged for the ₱12,732.19 installment fee to be deducted from my future installments as an adjustment, which should reflect within 5–10 business days.
I'm sharing this mainly for awareness and to ask if anyone else experienced something similar during the 9.9 Sale.
Has anyone else had a 0% SPayLater installment displayed at checkout but later received a significantly higher installment because of an installment fee?

TLDR: During the 9.9 Sale, my iPhone 17 Pro checkout showed SPayLater ₱9,961.83 × 6 at 0%, but my actual bill became ₱72,715.77 because of a ₱12,732.19 installment fee + ₱212.58 processing fee. I disputed it, and Shopee/Monee confirmed it was a system issue and said they will deduct the ₱12,732.19 from my future installments. Anyone else experienced this?
