About to go on a working holiday in France as an Aussie. A bit worried
Hi everyone, I’m an Aussie who’s about to go on a working holiday in France, and tbh in a little worried about finances and how I’m going to live. I might just be anxious and overthinking it. I’ll have 7k aud by the time I leave for France which is roughly 4.38k euros. I speak B1 level of French, but I’m sure I need to improve it a lot more to get a job.
The reason I’m posting Is because I find this style of travelling interesting, and if I can save as much money as possible, I absolutely will. My intentions for going on this trip is to improve my French, and try new things.
my question is: How can I live cheaply on a budget in France?
I’ll spend 2 weeka Lyon looking for a job, but if I can’t find one then I’ve already started trying to get some reservations on Worldpackers, but so far 2 of my requests have been denied because of the time of year I’m booking being winter in Europe.
Where do I even live in Lyon if I do find a job.
i’m asking because I see you guys seem to be a lot more knowledgeable on this subject and I’d be super frateful if you could help me out on some tips. I’m going to keep checking this subreddit because I see some posts already dedicated to this topic, however more broadly towards cheaply travelling in Europe rather than just France.
thanks guys.
