Mod Announcement NO Promotions and Advertising.

We've never had an official rule and worked on a case by case basis, but this will serve as an official rule.

Due to the risks of safety and quality of the sub we're going to not allow the promotion and advertisements of groups, ziyarats, subreddits, pages, communities, apps, crossposts, donations... etc

If you are a credible group, speak to the moderators and we'll verify you and work something out, otherwise to the people who want to create communities I suggest just advertising through contributions to the group and people get curious and hit you up.

many donations end up being scams unfortunately so there is no way to verify, if it's desperate just talk to the mods but expect a lot of verification

we won't promote any independent or local scholars, sharing videos is fine just don't spam it and don't let it be the only thing you do.

we won't allow promotion of ziyarat groups as sometimes they are scams, obviously there are exceptions.

dating apps are a big no,

apps are a big no because of user data and other security risks

discords and reddits you made are also a no, esp since the ones i've seen lately are super bait. you can make them just don't promote them

If anyone has suggestions or a work around or thoughts, I'm open to having my mind changed share your thoughts, this mostly applies to people we don't know

Please pray for the Muslim women and girls of Azerbaijan. I beg of you.

I ask all of you to pray for the women and girls of Azerbaijan. The cursed Zionist government has taken away the rights to their education. Why? Because they wear the hijab. Today was the Wiladat of Sayyida Zaynab SA, a woman who showed what piousness and purity looks like. We ask Allah by the intercession of Sayyida Zaynab and her pure mother, that the suffering of the Muslim women and girls of Azerbaijan comes to end quickly. And may Allah curse the government of Azerbaijan.

Ilahi Ameen.

Hadith 1: Al-Husayn bin Ahmad bin Idris narrated to us. He said: "My father narrated to us from Ibrahim b. Hashim from Ismail bin Marrar from Yunus bin Abd al-Rahman from Abd Allah bin Sinan from al-Sadiq Jafar bin Muhammad AS. He said:

'There are five things without which one will not find much satisfaction. It was said: What are they, O son of the Messenger of Allah? He said: (1) religion, (2) intellect, (3) modesty, (4) beautiful character, and (5) beautiful manners. There are also five things without which one will not find livelihood: (1) health, (2) security, (3) needlessness, (4) contentment, and (5) amiable correspondence.'"

Source: Shaykh al-Saduq RAH, Al-Amali, book 1, chapter 48, hadith 14.

Hadith 2: Amir al-Muminin AS said:

"Whomever modesty clothes with its dress people cannot see his defects."

Meaning: If a person adorns himself with the quality of modesty then it prevents him from committing evil acts. Therefore, he has no evil for the people to find in him. Even if a bad act is ever committed by him he does not commit it openly because of his feeling of modesty lest the people notice him.

May Allah bless the righteous women and girls of Azerbaijan. Ilahi Ameen.

[English Translation]

On the birth anniversary of the heroine of Karbala, Lady Zaynab (as), we recall the great and active role that believing women will play in the state of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).

From Al-Mufaddal bin Umar, who said: I heard Abu Abdillah (Imam Al-Sadiq) (as) say:

"There will be thirteen women with Al-Qa'im... they will treat the wounded and tend to the sick, just as there were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family)."

Video Sayyid Ali Abu Al-Hassan on the Shia Stance Regarding the Companions (Sahaba)

In this translated clip, Sayyid Ali Abu Al-Hassan explains the foundational Shia methodology regarding the Companions (Sahaba) of the Prophet (PBUH):

Scholarly Reference (Sayyid Muhsin al-Amin): The ruling on the Companions regarding moral uprightness ('adalah) is the same as anyone else. Merely meeting the Prophet (PBUH) as a believer and dying upon Islam is not sufficient on its own to establish moral uprightness or infallibility.

Honor & Acceptance of Narrations: Whoever is known to be upright is judged as such, their narrations are accepted, and they are accorded the honor and reverence they deserve for the nobility of companionship, supporting Islam, and striving in Allah's cause. Whoever is known to be otherwise does not have their narrations accepted.

Quranic Categorization (Surah At-Tawbah 9:100–102): Rather than applying a blanket endorsement to every individual who met the Prophet (PBUH), the society of that era is evaluated through the categorization established in the Quran, which praises the righteous forerunners among the Muhajireen and Ansar (9:100), while also pointing out the hypocrites (9:101) and those who mixed righteous deeds with bad ones (9:102).

Salam everyone! I wanted to ask, according to Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, is it halal for a woman to undergo wet Hijama (cupping involving bloodletting) while she is on her period, provided her bleeding is not heavy? I would appreciate it if anyone could share a reliable ruling or a source from his official office. Jazakum Allah khair 🤍

Video Calming Ones Mind When Extreme Fear, Anxiety, & Panic Take Over Your Life - Sayyid Sameer - IMAM-US

What do you do when fear takes over, and nothing feels safe?

In al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, Imam Zayn al-Abidin (p) states, “Will You burn, in the heat of Your fires, a heart which has been woven in love for You?”

Fear brought before God can become a way back to His mercy.

Should Sunnis who promote child abuse by affirming the fabricated Hisham hadith about Aisha's marriage age be punished as blasphemers?

This question led to a very interesting discussion with Kimi 3 which I think you will... maybe not enjoy but find thought provoking.

Question / Help Quran Analysis

Salam Alakum everyone, I hope you’re doing well.
I’ve been getting serious about truly understanding the meaning behind the Quran. More specifically, breaking it down ayah by ayah. I have found some helpful videos on YouTube but I’m aware that Sunni interpretation of the Quran differs from Shia in some aspects.

If any of you know any websites, books, or videos that can help in this journey I would greatly appreciate it. I need something in English and Arabic as my Arabic reading skills aren’t very strong.

Jazakum Allah Khair

Article Has Dua al-Simat Been Infiltrated By Israʼiliyyat Fabrications? - New Article On My Website!

Doubts Raised:

Some have claimed that *Du’a al-Simat*—also known as *Du’a al-Shubur*—is among the supplications that have been infiltrated by *Isra’iliyyat* (narrations with fabrications traced back to Judeo-Christian origin or influence).

They point out that certain passages within it bear a striking resemblance to phrases found in the Torah, thereby casting doubt and suspicion upon the supplication. An example cited is the phrase: “…above the *Karubiyyin* [Cherubim], the Pillar of Fire, and Bethel…” It is noted that the term *Karubiyyin* does not appear in any authoritative source or reliable narration.

To read the answer and whether or not this is true please refer to this article:

Qur'an & Hadith Mahdawi Hadith #165 | The Hidden Blessing | النعمة الباطنة

Post image
8 Upvotes

[English Translation]

The holy verse: "And He has amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and hidden" (Luqman: 20).

From Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (as) regarding the interpretation of the 'hidden favor' as Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance):

"The apparent favor is the visible Imam, and the hidden favor is the hidden Imam. I said to him: 'Will there be among the Imams one who goes into occultation?'

He said: 'Yes, his person will be hidden from the eyes of the people, but his remembrance will not be hidden from the hearts of the believers, and he is the twelfth of us.'"

What is the reward and virtue of Surah As-Saffat?

Post image
15 Upvotes

1) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever reads (Surah As-Saffat), Allah will bestow upon him ten good deeds for the number of all the jinn and devils, distance the devils from him, absolve him of polytheism (shirk), and his two guardian angels will testify in his favor on the Day of Judgment that he believes in the divine prophets."
(Majma' al-Bayan, Shaykh Tabarsi, Vol. 8, p. 293)

2) Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites (Surah As-Saffat) every Friday, he will continually be under the protection and security of Allah, and calamities and afflictions will be warded off from him in his worldly life."
(Thawab al-A'mal, Shaykh Saduq, p. 112)

3) Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites (Surah As-Saffat) every Friday, abundant sustenance will be granted to him by Allah."
(Thawab al-A'mal, Shaykh Saduq, p. 112)

4) Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites (Surah As-Saffat) every Friday, no harm will reach his wealth, children, or body from Satan or tyrannical rulers; and if he passes away on that same Friday or Friday night, Allah will reckon him as a martyr, and on the Day of Judgment he will be counted among the martyrs and will hold the same rank as the martyrs in Paradise."
(Thawab al-A'mal, Shaykh Saduq, p. 112)

5) According to narrations, (Surah As-Saffat) is recited to attain honor and high status in this world and the Hereafter.
(Makarim al-Akhlaq, Shaykh Tabarsi, p. 364)

As-Saffat (الصافات) is the 37th Surah of the Holy Quran.

Question / Help How do we square harsh punishments carried out by the Prophet (s) and Ali (s) and Islamic mercy?

I have read narrations of both ruling the death penalty, specifically stoning, for adultery and sodomy. This seems to me so extreme and harsh. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this aspect of Islam. Maybe I just don’t understand the specific cases/circumstances, or the culture of the time.

Discussion Why we are not talking about this?

After every some time we hear that court decided that half of the assets will go to wife but in most cases wife never worked or did work until the couple started having children, the man of the house is doing all his damn effort and one day just because he is “you are not the same person I married to” , it becomes a legal obligation for a wife to forcefully take his hard earned assets ?

Why grown ups not talking about pre nuptials?

It’s rare I see scholars in US/Canada talking about this bitter reality of how the power legislation can put a man on the streets or in a Shared accommodation during this filthy divorce process.
