I was sextorted approximately a year ago. I gave my IG and Phone number. They threatened to leak to my followers. I paid $150, then blocked them. They tried contacting me again by messaging from a different number, calling me for a week in row, and making a groupchat with a bunch of strangers and then sending a cryptic message about having somebody’s nudes.

They stopped but I lived the next month is complete and devastating anxiety and panic attacks.

After I blocked the number that called me everyday for a week it was done and I have not heard of them since then.

I am peaceful now and confident that the nightmare is over…. UNTIL

I was talking to a guy who experienced the same thing and said his number was used to trackdown his address and his family’s names and contact information. This got me scared.

Its been almost a year of no contact and no sign of anything. I rarely even think about it but this new information got me really scared.

I know that there is a very very very low likelihood that they would comeback but idk lol

I was chatting with someone on telegram and like an idiot I added them to my contacts. I did not immediately send them anything, but as I got pressured I did. The immediately called me an idiot and threatened to send this to the fbi that I was threatening to rape them as well as my family and friends. I saw my picture at the top (no face involved thankfully), saw my telephone number on their mock-up, and didn’t read any further. They sent something else but I immediately went and deactivated the account. I didn’t even block them on telegram…which after reading all these posts and comments I should have. I took my phone number off facebook, made everything private where only I could see it on there, and my instagram profile was already private. I’m legit terrified. It’s been 2 hours and I haven’t heard from anyone, I’ve searched Facebook for my phone number (as that seemed to be the only id they seemed to have) and haven’t seen anything. I’m hoping this will blow over, but Jesus Christ I’m terrified. I did not allow telegram to sync with my contacts, so I’m praying they didn’t get any more info off of me other than my phone number, but I have no idea. Please tell me I’m blowing this out of proportion in my head. I don’t think my phone number was linked to anything else and I never received a text or anything outside of that initial telegram thread.

I had a nasty phone call earlier today - didn’t recognise the number, so didn’t answer, and they left a voicemail (more fool them… means easy access to evidence to give to police). But from someone purporting to be a maker of pornography, knows my name, knows where I live, and are in their words “willing to come work on me a little” to make me comply with their requests. They have to be chancers - my information is well and truly in the public domain, and nothing I do online, or off come to that, would be of interest to anyone, much less give them anything to exploit - but it’s a pretty icky feeling nonetheless. They have been blocked, reported to police, and I have a dog who could very successfully play the part of the Hound of the Baskervilles should anyone actually be stupid enough to come and physically threaten me (I think this is rather unlikely) but it’s not nice to have had the threat made in the first place 🫤

Last night I got into my snap to see he had unblocked me and texted me again, saying "hey my love I need help cumming, just remember I know your family and what school you go to and I have all the proof of how much of a s**t u are" instead of answering or accepting the request I just let it sit there and he eventually blocked me again and then today I get an add on Snapchat from an acc I know is obviously him bc the user is "money pics", I think he's trying to trick me into adding him back and talking to him again. I'm only 18 I've never even done anything like this before that night and I obviously learned my lesson immediately and I'm constantly having to rep the percussions of it. I've already changed all my usernames on my socials and done everything I could to be more private, besides my snap bc even if I change it he'll still be able to find it. If he does send the pictures and my parents somehow actually see them I plan on saying it was ai anyway I just don't know what to do anymore bc this is causing me genuine fear every night and I haven't slept more than 7 hours all together in the past 2 days now, I already have a lot of mental health issues and haven't been doing good recently anyway so I have been making irrational decisions like I did on Wednesday. If I could get any more advice I'd appreciate it, I want to talk to my mom about it but I know it'll sound crazy to her. I plan on saying something tomorrow tho.

Note: pls no scammers off of this post I'm looking for actual advice. No I'm not gonna give you his user, no I don't need you to set a "trap" for me. I was extorted about 2.5 months ago after foolishly adding and talking with a scammer on telegram after a post they made here on reddit.

I've been chill the past few months, but just got really anxious again remembering all of this happened and want to make a IC3 report to establish myself as the victim in case they're using my photos to scam others, as well as to give account usernames to hopefully take the scammer down.

I start to fill out the form, but then get too scared to submit! I just get so ashamed and embarrassed and think that I'll actually somehow get in trouble from this whole ordeal for sexting. I also want to handle it discretely and hope that my family doesn't get paid a visit.

Other people who have submitted the IC3 report form, how did you feel? Did any other agencies ever follow up with you? How much detail should I provide? Can I simply state that I was sextorted and here are the usernames, or will that invite them to follow up for more information?

2 nights ago I fell for a Sextortion scam, this girl followed me on tiktok and we started chatting. Eventually she got me over to WhatsApp and got me to send an intimate photo, once I did there whole mood shifts and start sending dirty scary texts threatening to send to all my tiktok followers I blocked them straight away and heard nothing till 2 days later they contacted me again on a different number saying all the same shit and even getting miss calls from them. At the time I was asleep so I woke up to a bunch of notifications to this dirty scammer straight away I blocked and reported and am just hoping they don’t send anything out. I feel so stupid and ashamed of myself for falling for this.

There are videos of me and I feel, although nothing compared to blackmail, violated. I feel used and not comfortable in my skin right now. I can’t shake it. He didn’t have nudes if an ex that I saw but when we were first talking he had like a provocative head and chest pic of his last situationship. The story always charged. Before break up it went from it was a year ago fling to two years ago. So he definitely kept that pic. The amount of he of me is making me feel like I’m not in ownership. I just wanted to know if anyone has a milder case that feels this sadness and violation? I can’t shake it

i don't know if this is appropriate for the subreddit, but I sent nudes and other sexual humiliating photos/videos to a guy online. when I blocked him on telegram, he messaged me on discord and started making threats to unblock him or it would get "ugly", and before he blocked me told me to look out on twitter and reddit. i sent him imagery on my twitter as well but I cannot delete it as the account is suspended. i am extremely scared i don't know what to do, my face is in nearly all of those nudes and despite not knowing my information, I'm still afraid he could leak them online

I’m posting another update because I’m feeling scared again.
I previously paid a sextortion scammer around ₹58,000 after he threatened to share my private video with my family and Facebook contacts.
Since then, I’ve completely deleted my Facebook account, stopped paying, and blocked multiple numbers. I’ve acreated a StopNCII case.
After a few days of feeling better and getting back to my normal routine, I received another threat today.
I’m determined not to pay him anything else, but these repeated threats are affecting my peace of mind and sleep.
Has anyone experienced a scammer repeatedly returning after being blocked? Did they eventually stop? What helped you handle the situation?
I’d really appreciate advice from people who have been through something similar. Thank you.

A couple months back I was on snap and a guy randomly added me and we got to talking, it was nice. He was friendly, seemed normal and I was still new to having a phone so I didn’t think anything of it. At some point he sent ma a face pic and asked for one in return which I sent. He then grabbed random duck pics online, linked it with my face and number and threatened to release them. I blocked him and moved on.
Now a today they contacted me on WhatsApp with my name, address, bank details and ai nudes of me, threatening me for money and have also claimed they are going to hurt me. They know I’m a minor but aren’t stopping. I can’t contact the police because my parents are very strict and will blame me for this and when I tried to contact an online blackmail service they said they couldn’t help me cause I’m a minor.
Does anyone have any advice for me, I’m scared they’ll send people to my house to hurt me.

While we were talking they said to add them to my contacts since my judgement was clouded at the time i didnt see anything wrong with it. But as i discovered you can search up a phonenumber on fb if they are within your contacts. So PSA to anyone with a connected phone no# to their facebook

I know it is nth time someone getting extorted. So basically a 20M from Asia. I was too horny that i connected to this girl(catfished obviously) on /ome.gg and we told to move to telegram, but as luck would have it my own account prevented texting on the app.

(My real name is never mentioned in any of the accounts that i used in this situation)

Then he said to move to discord and i was like ok fine. I luckily used an account with 0 friends and he asked for my instagram, as luck would have it , i shared an account that i use for relaxing and has 0 followers and only a few pages that i follow. He called out it to be a fake one but i assured it was me. ( no one even my parents or friends know about the account)
The funny part is he left it to be. Then he asked to send my photo (with face), here i made the dumbest mistake and sent one. Then he sent his (a fake girl's). Then he asked for d*ck pic with face - again i did the second dumb mistake and sent it) but luckily the photo had a small part of my jaw and not the face entirely. THen he sent a b**bs pic and then suddenly deleted it, i was a lil scared and rushed to delete the pics i had sent (which i did btw) but it was too late. He shared a collage and said i will post it on internet. The image exists on imagebb still. He asked me to send money via routegg steam gift cards, which i did because my panic and anxiety took over. I paid about the equvialent of $15-20 and then scared i fell asleep automatically. In the morning i checked discord and saw he was threatening, i checked google and immediately blocked the account. Now i have lost money and has been two days. But seeing people's experience here, i am thinking maybe i wasnt the only one

Also i have complained about the same on stopNCII, the imgbb support mail and to my national cybercrime portal too with evidence of the image. Because it was through routegg, i might not recieve my money back.

I have had panic attacks yesterday,as i was constantly checking the imgbb to see whether the view count has increased(which has increased ngl), but today when i went through this subreddit, i feel comforted and seeing that they rarely leak it.
