I hate the name of the forum and the fact that it was never used as I intended.
So if you have photos here that you haven't saved elsewhere download them now.

Hi Everyone. I purchased this sunlik hand crank sewing machine yesterday but can't find much information online about it or the company. Only that its called Golden Swallow & made in Japan around the 50s or 60s. Interesting that it has a Native American on the trade mark badge....I'm guessing American owned company....doesn't seem to be many for sale online so possibly not all that many made. If anyone has more info would be cool. It sews beautifully

Things like this usually end with the seller ghosting me after making a pickup/time/date etc. Not this time! Paid $25 and gave some random dude that was there $5 to help me load. I thought I was dead in the water when the seller asked if I could meet 2 days later and within a 2 hr time frame. It definitely came with a price. Snapped a picture before I left to send to my wife and took the following pictures when I got home. But the last 3 pictures is where it goes a touch of the rails. Picture 6 is the listing photo. Notice the carpet and sunlight, address is a single family home and Iām thinking nice and easy first floor. Picture 8 and 9 were sent to me 2 miles from the pickup address. Looks like a catfish scheme, but what a deal. I didnāt even lift my foot off the gas when I saw the mouse poop all over the table. I then read below the pictures, āItās heavy, bring helpā. By the looks of the floor, lighting, and the fact that a foundation is visible we are below grade. Not complaining one bit! Iād do it even if the last photo was the listing photo. Looks like the house was abandoned and I overheard from some folks picking up furniture that itās a house flip. Iāve wanted one for a while, Iām definitely not ready to use it but, after repairing my dr martens with a sewing awl last winter Iām eager to learn. Going to research and make a nice project out of this. I started to lightly clean up before I moved anywhere. There is patina and mouse pee. Iāve seen both but always going to clean especially if there is 2 generations of mouse poop in the sellers basement. I sprayed some dawn to lift some of the grime in hopes to reveal some of the lettering but it started down pouring. Pictures were before the cleaning with plans of a before/after but was short lived with the rain. I hope to post one day when sheās game ready. It will take some time but I plan on doing it right and make fully functional and operating like itās 1940!

This is my new machine - it is a blank canvas (which I find boring) and I want to personalize it . I have seen machines these days that have lots of decals and stickers etc. but I don't know where to get them. And ideas?

My aunt own this sewing machine but it's broken, does anyone know if it's repairable, what year it was made and if it's actually a good sewing machine?

My friend found this machine at a yard sale for $5, and we're trying find out as much as we can about it, but nothing comes up apart from a single collection of photos of a nearly identical machine from a Different brand (last photo).
We thought the Riccar sticker might be false to the machine, but there's no plaque or screw holes underneath that show evidence of any other brand, however, we also can't find any evidence of this machine existing with the Riccar brand. Pls help us Properly identify itš. Apart from the photos of the other machine, we also found an instruction manual For said other machine on etsy for $8, but we'd prefer not to pay for something that should be easily found on the internet. If it rlly comes down to it, we'll probs settle for paying, but we wanted to see if anyone had answers before we do. Any information is helpful!!šš

Working on a MYOG project.
I got Mira BU for free from a local old lady who can't sew anymore.
It was installed in a typical wooden treadle cabinet, but I 3D printed a base for it and installed an electric motor from the same era. It has all of the original attachments and tools. A joy to use and admire.
