Hi everyone 🙌

Why i built Sendly:
One of my friends is colorblind and could never tell which holds belonged to her route. She always had to rely on the rest of us, so she basically couldn’t climb solo. When she tried, she got a lot of unwanted attention and advice. So I built Sendly: you scan the wall with your phone and it shows you every hold on your route. Watching her climb on her own for the first time is still my favorite moment of this whole project 😊

Thank you for all your feedback on my first post it really helped to shape the app. You can now choose your type of colorblindness, and routes are marked with shapes, not just colors.

Not colorblind? You matter just as much. Every wall you scan teaches the app new gyms, lighting and holds, so it gets more accurate for colorblind climbers everywhere. And you get something too: you can log your attempts and highpoints, track your progress, and level up 🐐

What’s next: the public beta is coming soon on TestFlight. The link will go up here first.

🐛 Reports & it got my route wrong (post it here🙌)

Found something broken, or the app picked the wrong holds? Post it here. Every report helps make Sendly better 🙏

Please include:

📸 A screenshot or screen recording
🎨 What went wrong, e.g. “pink holds labeled red” or “two routes merged into one”
👁️ Your color vision setting in the app, if you set one

Known issues (we’re working on them):

Pink and red can get mixed up
Black holds on dark walls are sometimes called gray
Two routes of the same color close together can merge into one

You can fix most of these by hand in the app: tap holds to add or remove them.

Thank you + what’s next for Sendly 🐐

Hey everyone!

First, a huge thank you to everyone who joined, upvoted, commented and installed the beta. Seeing real people try something I built in my room is honestly wild ❤️

What’s next:

📱 App Store release. I’m submitting Sendly to the App Store, so soon you’ll be able to download it in one tap, without TestFlight.
🐛 Fixing the known issues, like pink vs red and black vs gray on dark walls.
🤖 Android: still on my list. If you’re on Android, comment so I know you’re out there!

For those of you who already tried it:
I’d love to hear from you, even just one line:

Did the scan find your route correctly?
Was anything confusing?
What’s the ONE thing you’d change?

Sendly beta is live, download it here 🐐

Hi everyone! It’s finally here. Sendly is now a free beta on iPhone, and anyone can try it.

How to install:

  1. Open the link on your iPhone. It will ask you to install Apple’s free TestFlight app first.
  2. Then tap Install on Sendly. 

What’s inside:

  • 👁️ Pick your type of colorblindness: all red-green types, blue-yellow, and full color blindness. The colors adjust to your type (the video shows a route for someone who can’t tell red from green).
  • 💜 Every route gets its own shape (♥ ★ ■ ●), so you never rely on color alone
  • ⚠️ A warning when a wall has colors that are easy to mix up
  • 👆 Feel the routes: slide a finger over the photo and hear which route and hold you’re on. You’ll feel a tick when you move onto another hold and a double tick when you move onto another route.
  • 📈 Log your tries and sends, and level up your goat 🐐

No account needed: you can scan as a guest.

iPhone only for now. Sadly I didn’t have the time and resources to build an Android version yet. If you’re on Android, comment “Android” below so I know you’re out there and really want it.

Found a bug? Post it in the pinned bug thread with a screenshot. Pink vs red and black vs gray on dark walls are known issues and I’m working on them. It’s still early and it’ll make mistakes, so tell me everything, I really mean it. My DMs are open too, for private feedback or any  questions.
