Hi, I’m planning a trip to Sapporo towards the end of February, and I am planning to pick up Miura KM700 Golf Clubs. Would anyone know where I can pick them up in Sapporo, since that’s where I will be for the entirety of my trip. Thanks

I'm looking for the kind of food that makes Hokkaido special, beyond the obvious tourist recommendations.

Soup curry, miso ramen, jingisukan, sushi, seafood, crab, small izakaya, anything goes, as long as it's genuinely good (I'm Italian so I'm quite demanding about food haha).

If you had just a few days in Sapporo and Otaru, where would you spend your money on food? I'd love to hear about your personal favourites, including underrated local spots.

Japanese names appreciated. Thank you!

My boyfriend and I are looking for a job around Hokkaido/Sapporo that aligns with our Working Holiday Visa during the winter season (Nov-Feb).

I was wondering if anyone who has experience with this could give some insight, as we’ve found a few jobs that sounds great but the weekly hours goes beyond the legal limit, despite being advertised in websites for WHV.

How soon in advance do we need to get the job? Which websites to look into/avoid? Is Workaway worth the price? What jobs welcome couples?

I am looking for a nightclub to go as a foreigner who is mainly English speaking. I read online most people go Utage and even foreigners go in for free. I will be visiting mid 2027 on a Friday night and crowd socialising would be the most important factor for me. Think there is a new club called sango but not sure how is it.

Hi! I understand from Peach Aviation’s website that the self-check-in kiosks and baggage-drop counters for domestic flights open only 1.5 hours before departure. Would arriving at the airport at 9:30 AM be sufficient time to check in, drop off our luggage and clear security for an 11:10 AM flight? It feels like quite a tight schedule and I appreciate hearing from anyone who has flown from New Chitose Airport.

I will be travelling in mid-December.

Thank you!

Hello! I would like to ask if there are still food souvenir shops after final security checks? Or are all the shops before the gates?

Planning to buy LeTao, Kinotoya, savory goods, pastries, etc. but might not have enough carry-on space. It's my understanding that duty-free items bought after security clearance counts as a separate (free) carry-on item.

Thank you!

Tomorrow’s my last full day in Sapporo, so I want to spend it shopping for things I saw I want in passing and other things for family. In particular, I’d like something that comes from Ainu culture because my mom, who was originally intended to come but couldn’t, likes learning and buying stuff from indigenous groups after her trip to Norway learning about the Sami (don’t worry; she might have a chance to go later this year).

So, is there a store in Sapporo that sells handmade Ainu memorabilia? A souvenir wouldn’t really suffice, like a keychain or a mass printed t-shirt, but something a person made. I’m also willing to go out of Sapporo if the store is reachable by train (and few transfers as possible).

We were all evacuated. I found out it happened on the fourth floor, which is the floor I suspect that has a more orange tint. Fingers crossed for no injuries.

Does anybody know where to find some guns replica for props in sapporo?

Soo I see a lot of people posted abt looking for friends n I decided to find ones too, only that I'm gonna be so specific. If you're into side quests, being whimsical, and overly enthusiastic about things u love like movies/fashion/music/books/etc, let's connect!

Note: I live in Sapporo for a couple of years and if u see this and interested, we can hang out anytime u want. I also know places to hang out with, either daytime or night time

Am a ceramicist traveling to Japan and would love to check out some pottery studios or supply stores!

Hey everyone!

I'll be visiting Sapporo as my main base from October 21 to October 26, and I'm super excited to explore the city and its surrounding areas.

I'm a big fan of good food, local izakayas, soup curry, and checking out local spots. If anyone is living in Sapporo or traveling there around the same time and wants to grab dinner, a beer, or explore Susukino together, let me know! I'd love to make some new friends or get recommendations on hidden gem spots.

Cheers!

Hey everyone!
I’m a 28-year-old Japanese guy living in Sapporo!
Besides Japanese, I speak English, French, Russian, Ukrainian, and Arabic!
But I haven’t had many chances to practice lately, so my language skills have gotten pretty rusty 😅
I’d love to meet some new people, hang out, grab a coffee, explore the city, or just chat while practicing languages together!
If anyone’s in Sapporo and wants to hang out, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to help you practice Japanese too!
Looking forward to meeting you! 😊

Anyone know of any Onsens in Sapporo that accept tattoos and do not have to book a full stay to experience it?

I'm heading to japan mid Jan next year and Id ideally look for something in Sapporo (weather and all), but will be staying at Kyoto, Tokyo and Osaka as well

Does anyone have any go-to? Or any options you've been able to find?

Thanks in advance!

Guys, is there another used cd store you know that sells USED CD albums (preferably not online) with Western artists? Besides BOOKOFF Sapporo Minami 2 Jo Store, that’s the only one I know. Please help

I’m trying to exhaust every possible opportunity to make this happen lol.

I’m Zane, I live in Canada currently but I’m from the UK. I’m 19 currently but I’ll be 20 soon. I’m visiting Japan next February. My English is obviously brilliant and my Japanese is decently conversational.

On February 10th-12th I’m gonna have some free time on my trip to Sapporo and Akita. And for the first time I’m gonna be by myself. So with this I beg for friends like a chud lol.

I would love to find some local guys or other visitors to hangout with (especially on the 11th).
But I would also like to get to know them before I visit.

If you’re looking for an international friend or would be willing to hangout with me that day, please shoot me a dm and I would love to get to know people. 🙏🙏

I'm about to visit Sapporo on late May, probably around the time the Lilac Festival is held. I wonder if the temperature is low enough in the evening to warrant a puffer jacket... Or perhaps a windbreaker would do just fine? What does it usually feel around that time?
