One half of our favorite duo, Viola Barden ( u/Voracious_Bard ), has reached 2 million plays on Quinn! 🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations, Viola! Thank you for your work, and here's to many more. We're grateful for you. ❤️

The black and white makes it classy right??

I have made a Spotify playlist!

These are songs that Rum has either mentioned in a RUMination OR played in a guitar audio.

If you're wondering, "what's a RUMination?" or "Rum plays guitar???", then you must be new here (welcome!). Those things are available on Rum's website.

A couple notes: I substituted Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" with an acoustic-ish cover to keep with the overall vibe. I'm not sure if Tesla's "What You Give" is actually played during the guitar audios or not. I picked out the opening chord, but that could be coincidental with another song. And "Wonderwall" is on there because it's a bit of a running joke.

If you've listened to the guitar audios and you know I left something out, PLEASE let me know!

Hey gang, the University of Michigan's marching band is doing a Lord of the Rings halftime show today, featuring Yo-Yo Ma. All the music is from the Howard Shore soundtrack. Kickoff is at 3:30pm Eastern. I don't know if they'll stream halftime, but the show will eventually be on their YouTube channel (I'm told a week or so).

Did we ever celebrate 40k subs on Quinn cause that’s SO many people!! 😳🤯 I’m so sorry if I missed it but our Rummy deserves the attention twice if I did! 🥳🎉

In celebration, we should all go listen to 40 of his audios in a row. Ready set go!!

This cracked me up.

Helloooo!!! This is a very special episode to celebrate 2 years of Viola and I working together! This was a really fun one to record, the questions we got were all really lovely. Viola gives a lot of great advice about writing in this! Oh and I'm there too lol 😁

I fear I have a problem and unfortunately the problem is Rum

I’ve been addicted to Rum’s audios for a while now. I’m subscribed to Quinn and tell me WHY I have basically only listened to this man the entire time 😭

I went from “ooh let me explore Quinn” to “Rum, what else do you have for me?” to finishing EVERY SINGLE ONE of his available audios. Like??? Ma’am, there are other creators here. I know. I simply do not care. 😭

I keep telling myself I should branch out, but then I hear his voice and my brain immediately goes: oh, we’re back home.

And it’s not even just the spicy parts anymore. I genuinely love his voice, his rambling, the little fourth-wall breaks, the sweet/gentle moments… AND THEN HE GOES AND DESTROYS ME WITH THE OTHER STUFF. SIR. PICK A LANE. 😭

I’ve also developed this embarrassing habit of coming back to the same audios once or twice a week. There are certain ones I literally CANNOT listen to at work because they’re too good and I need to maintain at least the illusion of being a functioning employee. 🫠

At this point, I’m not even listening anymore. I’m visiting. 😭

At some point I realized I wasn’t even listening because I was feeling spicy anymore. Sometimes I just wanted to hear his voice because it made me FEEL something. And now apparently my brain has decided that Rum’s voice = serotonin. Great. Fantastic. Very healthy. 😭

And now I’ve listened to ALL his Quinn audios.

ALL. OF. THEM.

So here I am, staring at the rest of Quinn like 🧍🏻‍♀️

How do I move on from this man??? Do I start listening to other creators? Do I force myself to diversify? Do I accept that I’m going to replay the same audios until I know every breath by heart???

Please send help.

Or don’t.

I’ll probably just go listen to Rum again. 🫣

I fear this man has me in a chokehold.

And the funniest part?

I’ve been listening to him for YEARS. It just took until recently for my brain to go, “Actually, this is our entire personality now. 🤧

Problem: unsolved.

What are you guys gonna dress up as?

For those of you who aren't aware, every month I do what we call RUMinations over on fourthwall and patreon. Where I sit down and chat about how I've been doing, if I have any updates, or sometimes even a movie review lol. But most of the time is spent answering questions from you guys.

And I'm doing a special episode next month. For the first time in RUMination history, I will be having a co-host! Viola ( u/Voracious_Bard ) will be joining me to celebrate 2 years of us working together and collaborating as the dynamic duo of Cask and Quill.

So if you'd like to leave us a question here is the link to do so

As the graphic says it'll come out sometime in the next few weeks or so. I debated making this episode available for free but instead I'm just gonna run a promo code for all of next month (technically it is available now if you wanna hop on over)

You can use the code: CaskAndQuill

To join my Fourthwall website for free

Or to join my Patreon for a dollar

(Cause apparently patreon promo codes are capped at a 90% discount idk lol)

I hope you'll consider joining! Everyone in the comments is always so sweet and kind and supportive, i feel like it's become a really lovely community
