How do I learn columns first methods? (PCMS for example)
Columns first methods that at bare minimum require 60 stm so this means viable for speed solving
I'm just asking for resources for this niche method

I want to complete this pattern where everything is solved except for the middle block, but these two corners need to swap places.

So, I’m not a part of the Rubiks cube community I only recently learned how to solve one though. A couple of hours ago I was watching tv and randomly scrambled my cube without looking, when I looked down it was in this exact position. Honestly kind of freaky, I know every scramble is 1 in 43 quintillion but like what’s going on here?

I've been learning to solve the 3x3 using the beginner method, and I'm currently trying to get better at F2L. My F2L alone takes around 47 seconds, and the frustrating part isn't really finding the pieces. I can usually spot the corner and edge, but then I just stare at them and struggle to figure out how to pair them without messing everything else up. I know I need to get better at recognizing cases instead of just turning randomly. For those who learned F2L from scratch, what helped it finally click for you? Did you focus on specific cases first, or just practice solving slowly without looking at algorithms?

Firstly, this post "Learn OLL the Easy Way" inspired me to create something similar with PLL.
Secondly, before you learn full PLL, it's best to learn 4-look last layer. If you know 4LLL, you already know 6/21 of the PLL algorithms (T, Y, H, Z, Ua, Ub). Only 15 more to go!
You need to learn all of the following 'triggers' in order to understand the "PLL the EZ way". Here are my 'triggers', these will be used to replace raw cube notation:
righty (a.k.a sexy) = R U R' U'
reverse righty = U R U' R'
4sune (first 4 moves of sune) = R U R' U
push (first 3 moves of righty) = R U R'
pull = R U' R'
Tail (righty but F' instead of U')= R U R' F'
head (righty but F instead of U')= R U R' F
Sledge = R' F R F'
T-perm (you should know this) = R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F
Here are the 15 PLL algorithms you don't know yet, ranked from easiest to memorize to hardest:
LEVEL #1: EASY PEASY
Jb - (Tail) (T perm until solved)
Ja - put bar on right/180°/y2 - (Lefty tail) (Lefty T perm until solved)
F - R' U' F' (T perm, replace last move F with U R)
Na - (4sune) (tail) (T-perm w/ U2 ending)
Nb - (lefty NA perm)
LEVEL #2: A LITTLE PRACTICE
Ra - face headlights - R' U2 (head but U2 instead of just U) (righty) R' F' R2
Rb - face headlights - lefty version of Ra - L U2 (lefty head w/U2), (lefty) L F R2
Ab - FACE WHITE/BOTTOM - headlights RIGHT - R2 D2 (push) D2 (R U' R)
Aa - FACE WHITE/BOTTOM - headlights LEFT - L2 D2 (lefty push) D2 (L' U L')
E - face yellow/top - (pull) D (push) D' (push) D (pull) D'
V - face yellow - (Sledge) U (pull w/U2 instead of just U) U’ (pull) U2 (righty)
LEVEL #3: I HATE G PERM
Ga - R (4sune) (R' U' R U') R2 U' D (insert pseudo pair)
Gb - (R' U' R) (U D') (R2 U R' U) (R U' R U') R2 D
Gc - R2 U' R U' (4sune) R2 D' (rev righty) D
Gd - (righty) D R2 U' (pull) U R' U R2 D'

Hello everyone, I want to buy my first speedcubes. I got into cubes like 12 years ago and then I stopped, now I want to come back. I avg sub 1 min, I have a random cube with magnets, but nothing especial, so I don't know the feeling of this recent speed cubes.
I have a couple of options. My budget is like 60$ max +-. I want 3x3 and 4x4.
For 4x4 I will go with aosu v7 single track (Already 18$). I want it just to do something different than 3x3.
For 3x3 I have 3 main options:
Get only 1 cheap cube for now:
Guhong pro + magnetic OR RS3M V5 ball core
Get 2 cubes:
Guhong pro + magnetic AND RS3M V5 ball core
Or get 1 cube only (more expensive)
gan v100
weilong v10
weilong v10 ball core + maglev
Picube weilong v10
weilong v11
weilong v11 ball core + maglev

My friend said GAN 356 Me UV for the long term. Any recommendations, I'm in PHL, Shopee, Lazada, and Tiktok Shop. I was considering the Aolong V5 by MoYu

So my I Carry 4 is my main smart cube and I really like it but I don't know if I should get an upgrade and take the 12 UI Maglev. My current pb is 10.87s and I average 17s and I feel like all the technologies that the 12 UI has (Gyroscopes, Maglev, UV coating) are things that I would love to have, so in your experience do you think that cube is worth buying?

Everytime I do the final step nothing changes, I’ve restarted the cube about four or five times now it happens every time, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong any help would be greatly appreciated

I had a lot of fun solving Witeden's 3x3x9. It was a challenge and took some thinking. I then got an Axis Cube that was difficult until I realized it's basically just a 3x3. I was really excited about the 3x3 Gear Cube I bought on Amazon until I accidentally just solved it lol. I am surprised by how easy it was. (I also own a 5x5 and 7x7)
I want a challenge that will take a while to solve and require few new algorithms.

Hey r/Rubiks_Cubes. I've been building this for the past few weeks and it's finally live: cuberlounge.com It's a coach, not just a timer. No download, no app store; it runs in your browser. With a smart cube (GAN, MoYu AI, QiYi AI, X-Man Tornado V4 AI, GoCube, Rubik's Connected, Giiker): Live coaching: it calls your next moves as you solve, from how you hold the cube Every solve broken down into cross / each pair / OLL / PLL, with time, moves, TPS and pauses for each step Tells you which alg or slot choice would have saved the most time Alg drills that start the case on screen, so no setting up by hand, and if you make a wrong move it tells you how to undo it instead of restarting With a regular cube: Tap off the scramble move by move, or let your camera follow it Film your solve and it pulls out TPS, pauses and splits from the video Also: full OLL/PLL/2-look library with an animated player, a recognition trainer, your own algs per case, move names like (sexy move), 2x2 and 4x4 timers, WCA inspection with +2/DNF, leaderboards, live head-to-head battles with friends, shareable solve replays, and a beginner course. Pricing, up front: everything is free until Nov 20. After that the coach, timer, drills, algs and battles stay free forever; a few extras (video breakdown that names your OLL/PLL, cloud sync, trend charts) become $5/month or $50 once. No account needed to use it. Device notes: Chrome on Android or any computer (Mac works in Chrome). iPhone/iPad: Safari blocks Bluetooth, so for smart cubes use the free Bluefy browser; everything else works in Safari. It's a solo project, so I'm sure there are rough edges. What's broken, what's confusing, and what would make you actually use it? There's a feedback button in Settings, or just roast it here
