Caution - Do Not Get Services from ANYONE in r/ReviewMyShopify

Warning - scammers abound here. This is a group that focuses heavily on those new to ecommerce in general, and thus there are vultures circling. There are great people here who will help you with advice, but there are others who will try their best to present themselves as 'experts' offering to help you via private message or other form of solicitation. As the X-Files from years back warned us - "Trust No One". Our automod catches many of them, but not all.

Report any such offender to moderators for suspension from the group. Do not engage with anyone in this group via private message, email, or social media (as you will no doubt be invited to do). You will be taken advantage of, and you will lose your money. Please, please heed the warning and keep yourself safe.

Built a Windows 98 desktop as a Shopify store. Does it actually work as a store or is it too much?

Here is the demo store for a theme I built, so not a real brand, but it’s a fully working store and I want honest feedback on it as a store, not as a gimmick.

exp-98.webexp.dev, password EXP

The whole site is a Windows 98 desktop. Collections are folders, products open in windows, the cart is a dialog box. There’s a music player, games, screensavers, the works.

What I actually want to know:

- Did you figure out how to get to a product and add it to cart without thinking about it, or did you have to hunt?

- On mobile the windows stack and it auto scrolls when a new one opens. Does that feel ok or disorienting?

- Is the boot screen + log on at the start cool or annoying by the second visit?

- Anything that made you want to leave

Be honest, I’d rather hear it here than from a client.

Review my store please!

I'm currently redoing my Shopify store. I'm an artist, and I design apparel and hats. I still have to upload photos for the hats, but I just wrapped up the apparel side. Can anyone provide feedback on what I have so far? I do okay for online sales, but I usually crush it when I do trade shows or other events where I set up a booth and sell in person. I'm trying to increase my online sales so I can slack off a bit on the events. They get to be exhausting...

Please Review My Shopify Store — Low Conversion Rate Despite My Efforts to Improve

Hi everyone,

I’d appreciate some honest feedback on my Shopify store.

Website: https://alicecrystals.com

I sell natural crystals and a variety of crystal products. I’ve been working on my website, but I’m still struggling to get the conversion rate I’d like.

I’d like to understand what’s stopping visitors from making a purchase.

In particular, I’d appreciate your thoughts on:

  • Website design: Does the store look professional and trustworthy?
  • Product pages: Are the product photos, descriptions, and prices convincing enough?
  • Customer trust: Is there anything that might make a first-time visitor hesitate to buy?
  • Shipping: Could shipping costs or delivery times discourage customers?
  • Checkout: Are there any obvious issues or unnecessary steps that could cause customers to abandon their carts?

I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who have experience running their own Shopify stores.

Please be honest, even if you think there are major problems. I’d rather identify the real issues than keep making changes without knowing what needs improvement.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my store!

Hi guys, I'm about to launch this store (with different products from the same niche, everything you see is fake products)

However I want to keep these colors and branding. Let me know what you like and what you don't like and what do you think should change or improved 🙏🏻.

I built my Shopify store for the Italian market 🇮🇹 — What would you improve? Be brutally honest!

Hey everyone! 👋

I've been working on my Shopify store, and I'd love to get some honest feedback from people who know e-commerce, UX, and online shopping.

I'm not looking for compliments just for the sake of it. I genuinely want to understand what's working, what's not, and what might be stopping visitors from becoming customers.

Here's what I'd love you to look at:

- First impressions: Does the store look trustworthy and professional?

- Design & UX: Is everything clear, intuitive, and easy to navigate?

- Product pages: Are the descriptions, images, and overall presentation convincing?

- Conversion: Is there anything that would make you hesitate before buying?

- What's missing? What would you change, remove, or add?

A quick note about the language: My store is currently aimed exclusively at the Italian market, so the entire website is in Italian. I've intentionally decided not to add a translation app for now, as I'm focusing on Italy rather than expanding internationally at this stage.

If you don't speak Italian, you can still help me a lot by checking the visual design, layout, navigation, and overall shopping experience!

Here's my store: https://sopheaclothing.com/

I'd really appreciate it if you took a couple of minutes to explore it and shared your honest thoughts in the comments.

Even small observations could help me identify things I've overlooked after spending so much time working on the store.

Don't hold back — if something looks bad, confusing, unprofessional, or simply doesn't make sense, tell me! That's exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to help! 🙏🙏🙏

I guess mainly i am after major flaws in either visual or practicality.

Also if any part of the website looks ai or vibe coded. Worked alot to try and make it look organic but still unique and eyecatching.

Opinions please

Hello - Been working to get my Shopify store up and would greatly like some honest reviews.
It is live and I am working on strategies to get more traffic to the site. My prices are comparable to other small booksellers. I’m not trying to compete with the big box stores.

My site is www.scott-collective.com

Thanks for any feedback!

Been in business 3 years, but Facebook ad performance is declining. Is my site hurting conversions?

I run Heads Up Hockey, and we've been in business for about three years. We sell a stickhandling training kit with app access, and this year we added a new shooting training product. We now offer both together as a bundle. Our products are in 100 retail stores.

I've been running Facebook ads, but we've really been struggling lately and the results have been getting worse. We've also started growing more on socials recently, but that hasn't translated into better results from our Facebook ads. I'm not sure whether the problem is the ads, the site, or a combination of both.

I've also been sending ads to the separate shooting and stickhandling product pages with multiple offers. I think that may have confused people about what to buy and which offer applies.

This is the landing page I'm using for Facebook ads right now:

https://headsuphockey.ai/?view=huh-bundle-d

The main pages, for comparison:

Homepage: https://headsuphockey.ai/

Stickhandling: https://headsuphockey.ai/pages/heads-up-crush

New shooting product: https://headsuphockey.ai/pages/shootingpage

Instagram, for context on our recent social content: https://www.instagram.com/headsuphockeyapp/

I'd appreciate an honest look, especially on mobile. Is it immediately clear what we sell, what comes with the bundle, and what equipment you need? Does the pricing make sense? Is anything missing or confusing that would make you hesitate to buy?

I'm trying to get this sorted before Christmas. What are the first two or three things you'd change? Feedback in the comments would be really helpful.

One more bit of context: I recently rebuilt the site to explain both offers, shooting and stickhandling, and redid all the videos from our old site. Some of this happened during our slow season, so initially I thought that explained the weaker results. But with Christmas approaching, I'm questioning whether the new site or how I'm presenting the two products is contributing too. I'm a programmer with backend experience, so I'd really value an outside ecommerce perspective on what I've builso

OK, let's do this!

Just launched my first online store with Shopify. My wife and I have watch SOO many YouTubes on what to do, and not to do, we have Listed our first set of products, and things seem to be setup right. So now......with a lot of apprehension and nail biting, we need someone who is NOT a friend or relative to give us an honest opinion. I'm a GenX guy so I know some of the best lessons in life are learned from harsh feedback, but still I'm nervous about putting this thing out there my wife and I have put so much time and effort into. So....having said that:

The website is https://www.2atHandCrafted.com Our business name is "2 a T Handcrafted Studio". We make wood and fiber art and homed decor. We make things like Candle Holders, Book Stands, and Bottle Openers shaped like a Cat. We have had fun making these things or our friends and family, and decided to give this a try as a business. Our mission is to do these by hand, with no use of AI, C&C, or Lasers. We are not trying to take over the wood working or craft arts world. But we would like to be able grow this over the next 10-15 years to possibly be a viable income for our retirement years.

We will be expanding in the next month to include a couple more winter/Xmas items, and a whole new line of Fiber Arts like felted Canvas Pictures, Mushrooms and Fairy Houses. Before we do that, we want to make sure the site is solid. We've only had a couple of sales in the month since we launched, and they were from people we know personally.

Be brutal if that is your style, but please be constructive. And please don't be offended if I respond to a comment with "Your Mom".

Vintage goth shoe shop

I built this website via shopify myself a while ago. I sell almost 200 individual pairs of boots from different brands. Looking to improve conversion and potentially run ads with it in the future. I think the homepage is lacking somehow.

What can I improve? What is already good?

Thank you in advance! 🫶
