Got my dream fish!
I finally found a ridiculously low priced Candy Basslet and had to pull the trigger. He is by far the most striking fish I have ever seen in person. His yellow is vibrant in person.

Here is the place to post questions about pest ID, coral/fish ID, your cycle, or any other questions that generally wouldn't start up a conversation. If you have an interesting or unique question please create a new thread so everyone can discuss it in length!

I ordered a white banded possum wrasse from international aquatics, it was labeled "in stock" on their site so I bought it, since it looked like they had good reviews. Almost 4 months later, I have gotten ZERO updates on the order, I tried to email them 3 times, called them dozens of times, not a single response. At least let me get a refund 😭. I would still love to receive this fish since it's hard to find, hence why I ordered it when I saw the in stock label.
Has anyone been able to get in contact with their customer support? Please let me know. With shipping I was more than willing to pay a hundred bucks for this fish, and now that money is gone, and no response from the seller makes me feel like I was scammed.

Been established for 4 months or so, all the fish have been together for nearly 2 months and thankfully no aggression yet. I've already got a 40 gallon ready for when it begins, though, as the tank is definitely overstocked

Anything you would add specifically? Any corals you would take out or move? Am I starting to lose the natural vibe by adding too many frags? What would inverts would go nicely in this tank?

New to skimmers, got a second hand Magus bubble curve 3 at a good price, plugged it in and it's shooting so much water out the top into the collection cup, almost like a fountain, what's going on? Water level set to 8 inches and the outlet is set to max

Has anyone had their Zoas take over the tank ? If so how did you manage them ie removing some off rocks , without triggering them to get stressed and release polytoxins ?
Do they actually attach to the rock making it hard to remove them ?
I don’t wanna start messing with the and get the annoyed etc
Any tips ?

Figured I'd show off since it's unlikely to ever be this clean again.
Need to get my light on a holder, it's sitting on the tank top.
Everything seems to have survived the week in a bucket, GSP is already open and recovering. My mushroom leather is deflated but it's still looks healthy. Need to put more live rock in but I don't like to cross contaminate with my GHA infested big tank where I put the rest of the rock that was in the old tank. The sump has all the bio media from the old tank and I dosed it with bacteria and threw in a bag of active carbon just to be safe since I don't have a skimmer yet for this setup. This one's 2/3 the size of the old tank but has a sump so the total volume is roughly the same. I think the only loss is the old tank.

I just got my order in from Tampa Bay Saltwater. This tiny crab was in the live rock. I am trying to figure out if it is reef safe or not. Sorry for the lousy photos

Hello everyone! I'm new to the community. I have had a freshwater tank for a while, but now I want to get a saltwater tank and start gradually. I like AIO setups, but I am having a hard time choosing between the Landen 45P 15 Gallon and the Innovative Marine Fusion 20 gallon long.
The Landen has beautiful, seamless corner edges without the black silicone that IM has, which is the only thing I don't like about the IM. Otherwise, I like that the IM has a wider display area (though both have almost the same display volume of 15 gallons, and both are close in cost).
I wanted to ask the community for your thoughts or recommendations on which one I should choose. I plan to keep two clownfish and some soft corals. Thanks!

It’s been difficult finding any good info online about these guys. We’ve had this green snake polyp coral for at least 6 months but after a couple water parameter issues, it hasn’t grown much and its polyp extension has been minimal at best. Over the last couple of weeks it has been turning black. It’s not algae growing on it either. Just wondering if anyone knows if this means it’s dying before the flesh starts to disintegrate or if it’s something else. Thanks!

This tank has gone through a lot of changes but I think I’m finally satisfied and don’t plant on changing it much more. Most recently I upgraded my lighting, reorganized, added things from other tanks and pulled out all of the macroalgae as it was growing so thick that it was crowding out corals and trapping tons of detritus causing the tank to be very dirty and encouraging hair algae.
Corals
Soft - GSP, Pipe Organ, Kenya Tree, 11 varieties of Zoa/Paly
LPS - 2 varieties of Frogspawn, Hammer, Torch, Acan
Fish/Inverts
Collonista Snails, Zero the Hectors Goby and Caveman the Emerald Crab

I’ve been running my skimmer for the past month. It’s my first skimmer, so I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong.
The water depth is 8 inches, and I’ve tried adjusting the knob toward both + and −, but it still mostly pulls water instead of producing foam.
One side doesn’t seem to produce bubbles unless I cover the intake with my hand. As soon as I uncover it, the bubbles stop again, and the water rises high in the neck.
Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be defective, or am I missing something?

Newbie here, finalizing plans for a 25 gallon Innovative Marine tank, have been scrounging together equipment and could use some help on deciding the rock composition.
Tampa Bay Saltwater was alluring, but the grand total for 2lbs a gallon would eat up my budget, so I have been mulling over Caribsea “live” rock and seeding it with some TBS rubble.
Comments? Concerns? Critique? Condemnation?

So on facebook marketplace i found someone selling there 14 gal biocube for $50 and its intact other than the guy removing the lid and using a small clip on light he says it still pumps and has a heater and he will give me the lid that it just needs a deep cleaning so I am just wondering as far as deep cleaning on how to go about it and whether its worth it im fine with replacing the lid with a new one but idk if its too good to be true? Also i will provide a photo of its condition it looks like a project gone wrong in his garage. Also if I can get context on the bottle above it.Also all I want in this tank is cleaner shrimps and corals and one singular fish.

so my hammer and torch corals flesh has been receding for weeks ever since i got them and i thought its the water parameters.
my hammer has no remaining flesh and just now i spotted 2 flat worms on it!
could this be the reason for the flesh recession and what do i do asap
