Any ideas how Boiling Point by TAVO Studio was made? That depth to gradient look is insane

• Upvotes

My first guess was a depth map driving a color gradient, but the quality is way beyond what I usually get from estimated depth: super clean hair strands, crisp edges around lips and fingers, and the gradient seems to follow form and light rather than pure distance

Meet Eclipse: Distributed Rendering for Redshift, Now in Free Beta!

Hey everyone! I can finally share my project with you: Eclipse Render Manager.

Distribute Redshift render jobs across your own machines, whether you’re working in Cinema 4D, Houdini, Solaris, Maya or 3ds Max. Submit from your DCC and follow everything in one place, with frame progress, previews and logs.

Here’s a quick look at it running on my own setup.

The open beta is free to try: eclipserender.com

Full compatibility details and video tutorials are on the site. I’d love for you to try it and let me know what you think!

Hi renderers. So denoisers do you ever use them? When I first tried it I thought whats a great tool! I used OIDN for a live preview. And then I used Altus single for rendering a sequence. Now I think it was a mistake. Son what is a general rule of using them? Thanks

Drive displacement with rsdistance?

Hello, using the latest versions of Maya / Redshift does anyone know if it's theoretically possible to drive displacement using a redshift distance node? I can't get it working, I assume because displacement needs to be calculated before disatance?
