'Pump It Up Phoenix 2' to Release in June, Premieres at PlayX4
Andamiro announced that it will unveil "Pump It Up Phoenix 2," the latest title in its arcade rhythm game series "Pump It Up," for the first time at "PlayX4 2026." Along with this, the company will showcase the Asia-Pacific Tournament, content linked to the Steam version of "Pump It Up Rise," and a dedicated controller. "Pump It Up Phoenix 2" is scheduled for release in June.
"Pump It Up Phoenix 2" is built upon the core gameplay of the original "Phoenix." It features enhanced new functions, including the addition of the latest popular K-POP songs, a Pumpbility rank system that displays user skill and performance, and an improved Rival System.
The Rival System increases competitive immersion and gameplay persistence by allowing players to check information about designated rivals through the 2P area during solo play. Furthermore, the focus was placed on providing an expanded gameplay experience while inheriting the fun of the arcade rhythm action games that users have become familiar with.
In addition, Pump It Up Phoenix 2 incorporates linkage features for users who own Pump It Up Rise, which is currently available on the Steam platform. Users who own Pump It Up Rise can play Rise-exclusive charts and related content within the arcade version of Pump It Up Phoenix 2.
Andamiro will host the 'Pump It Up Dominion: 2026 Asia-Pacific Tournament' on the main stage of PlayX4 2026. This tournament will feature representative players from seven Asian countries, including Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, and will be held on May 24 at 10:20 AM.
An exhibition related to PUMP IT UP RISE for Steam will also be prepared. Pump It Up Rise is a PC title officially released in March, and through its connection with Pump It Up Phoenix 2, it conveys the potential for expanding the 'Pump It Up' platform. In addition, the dedicated controller for Pump It Up Rise, currently under development, will also be on display at the Andamiro booth. An Andamiro official stated, "Pump It Up Phoenix 2 is a new title prepared to provide an expanded content experience and an exciting gameplay environment for both existing arcade fans and new users."

Its a Start of Expert?
I may underrated myself after all these time, and with the old pad that are not LX... Its an achievement I guess?

Am I accidentally triggering the wrong pads?
Hey everyone! I’d like to get help on identifying some issues that I noticed mostly when hitting 16th notes. As you can see at 0:10, 0:14 and 0:16, I’m getting some bads in sections that seemed straightforward otherwise.
Aside from the obvious parts where I misread the 16th note twists in the final run and the hold at the end that I also misread, there is a miss around 1:11 that seemed kinda weird.
I’m well aware that I’m moving a lot and that I’m not using proper heel-toe (still trying to learn it on lower difficulties), but I was wondering if those penalties were caused by pad sensitivity (which supposedly was adjusted recently) or if I’m unknowingly triggering other arrows at high speeds, as I don’t notice it that often on 8th note runs. Thanks in advance!

Technically cleaner shortcut is my 'first s21' (but it got uprated to s22 for no reason lol)
Also ignore the shit score thanks

Do you think pumbility favours singles too much?
I’m speaking from a red beryl perspective, not sure how it is at higher ranks. But around this level, it seems my peers at the arcade have much less motivation to play doubles now. I have also seen a few posts of players in Asia getting alexandrite all singles. In my opinion, it seems like singles is the most optimal until alexandrite (where I think you’d run out of high level singles to score on).
For example, i feel that getting a SS on an S21/22/23 is much easier than on a D22/23/24 respectively (for equivalent pumbility).
If your goal is to farm PB, it seems the most efficient approach would be to put all your effort in singles.
Also, it seems andamiro made obtaining singles expert 1 very easy compared to doubles expert 1. Can anyone explain why andamiro decided to go this direction with singles?

XSanity to PiuScores tool
Hello all!
I have recently (vibe) coded a tool to automatically submit XSanity scores directly from the game to the Piuscores website.
This came from me being annoyed at having to take pictures of my scores so I could remember them and then submit them all manually to the website. Now all I do is play and my PBs get submitted to my account.
Here is the repo for those who might be interested:
The tool's install and use should be pretty straightforward, but please feel free to ask any questions.
Note that it does contain an optional OBS overlay but that feature is not complete yet; keep it disabled.
Disclaimer: I am a senior software engineer, so while yes the code is not all mine, I did orchestrate the thing and examine the code and architecture.

Advanced 7 get!
Took 9 days from the last title, but it is definitely becoming more and more difficult on stamina to hit peak scores on S19/20 charts.
Slowly but surely, the grind continues.

Questions from a New Beginner-Intermediate Player
piuscores.arroweclip.seHey everyone! I'm a new Pump it Up player that has been playing for about a month and a half. A bit of background, I played maimai and other rhythm games before so I do have some prior experience. I mostly play S11-13, but recently I've been breaking into S14 and looking to clear S15-16 in the near future. I tried out doubles today, and I'm starting at D7-8
I have a few questions about a few things that has gotten me a bit stumped inside the game:
1. Bar Grip: Overhand or Underhand?
This was one that I just found out today. I've been holding the bar overhand (the inside of your palm faces away from the cabinet) ever since I started playing, but after getting advice from a few other veterans, I realize that this might not be optimal for higher level play. I can still make the switch as I'm still quite new, but here are a few things I notice:
- Overhand grip causes my left hand to have pins and needles in them after a long session.
- Underhand grip doesn't cause any pain, but feels slightly awkward, less stable, and my hands tend to slip down the bar during certain sections. Doubles do feel more stable with this grip.
Keep in mind, I haven't experimented with any form of no-bar, so both of my hands are on the bar at all times during play.
2. How to build speed?
Certain patterns are quite doable for me at lower BPMs (160<) but become near unplayable once BPM gets higher (>180). A few examples include:
- https://www.piucenter.com/chart/Deca_Dance_-_Yooh_S13_ARCADE - 1:44, 1:47, 1:50: playable
- https://www.piucenter.com/chart/CROSS_RAY_-_HyuN_S12_ARCADE - 1:57 onwards: very difficult
Almost all of these pattern involve jacks in some way. I also tend to perform better on sustained twisty lower BPM charts than higher BPM straightforward run charts. Is this a play more thing, or is there something that I need to keep in mind more to further help?
3. When do I start learning and applying manip/cheat?
I don't manip or cheat yet, well more so because I can't. I've been a purist L/R player from the start of the game. My heel toe is lackluster but that's something that I just have to get used to slowly. My question is; is it still viable to play S16+ with pure footwork? I'm trying to find more opinions on this topic as it's kinda divisive and some people have strong opinions on this.
Thanks for reading all of this! I know this post is long but I'm really passionate about this game, and I'm looking to get better as optimally as I can. Hopefully some of you can help me out on this. :D

First PG lol
After failing and getting mediocre scores on multiple 15s, and overall feeling worse stamina-wise, I decided to lower the difficulty quite significantly and focus on improving my fundamentals. This might not look like a lot, but I’m glad I was able to get it.
I think I’ll start grinding lower level charts to develop better technique, as currently my stamina is hit-or-miss every other week.

Easier charts similar to Gargoyle Full S21?
What are some good charts that are similar to Gargoyle Full S21 but not as long or as hard? Some that come to mind for me are Super Fantasy S16 and Switronic S15, are there any other notable ones?

Tips for different patterns?
I’m pretty new (started playing this August) and I’ve gotten pretty good at kpop songs around S7 (no miss on pandora S7 yesterday :D), and as I go higher into the double digit levels, I notice a lot more patterns where I don’t know which foot to use to step on each panel, and I can’t really process them because of how fast there going. For example, I’m being introduced to more cross overs like ↖️↙️ either together or one after the other.
I tried doing more research into guides for footwork when it comes to these patterns but I can’t really find anything good. I did find that there are different terms like ladder pattern, so I know there are common ones out there, and I wanted to know if there’s any guide about which foot to use on each panel depending on the pattern? Like a visual guide? If there is none, would you recommend just practicing finding the natural step order at home by looking at pattern charts? Thank you!
