Looking for advice Considering building a magic theatre for a local professional magician. FEEDBACK REQUESTED!

**A friend of mine here in my midsize town is a full time professional magician. He's lived here for about 18 months and is doing well. His theatre holds about 20 people and he sells out most shows. I approached him about getting him a much better location nearer all of the hotel and tourist activity. I'd buy the building, renovate to a very nice magic theatre for about 40, and he'd rent it from me. I always dreamed of doing this myself, but I'm not a very good magician. But I have been very successful in my businesses and I'd really like to help this guy get to the next level, and give something to our community that we don't have. A magic theatre. He also wants to have a small magic shop and museum in the front for pedestrian traffic, which there will be a fair amount of.****MY QUESTION: This building is 75 years old. It is just the right size, BUT I think that an 8 foot ceiling is all I am going to be able to get. To go above that, even if I can, is going to require tremendous ezpense in the attic, plus we are going to run into asbestos issues. SO IS 8 FEET HIGH ENOUGH? He does parlor type magic.****I don't want to spend all this money on a building when 8 feet in the performance area isn't going to give us the look and feel of a small auditorium despite our best efforts.**THANK YOU FOR YOUR OPINIONS!

Basically what I'm looking to do is have a giant pumpkin head with lights inside that glow and dim in response to my voice. I got a blackout mask and the Pumpkin head, I just need to figure out what would be good lights to work with this effect. I'm hoping to use a bluetooth mic set up with the lights so i can take the Pumpkin head off and still have it glow in reactive to my voice but 0 know-how to set this up and 0 idea what to buy for it. Any advice is helpful

Looking for advice Creating a Prop Condom Wrapper NSFW

I'm a Graphic Design major on a project where we have to make items related to an event that we're designing the branding, advertisements, irl banners, etc for. One of the items we need are ones that would be like take homes or free handouts.

I'm adapting an BDSM/Kink event that has playrooms that historically does hand out free condoms, so I do really want to adapt my design to a condom wrapper.

Due to the quick turnaround time of the project (only a couple weeks), I'm not sure if I could order them off of a site by the time I design it, get critique that week, and redesign.

Any advice on how to pull this off? I just need to make the wrapper and be able to seal something inside (probably a hair tie because no one is gonna open these).

Edit: I dont need to make a lot of these, like 10 max, minimum 2 for photos and class presentation.

Looking for advice Chainsaw chain as Props

Hi,
I have an idea of some style shots inspired from ChainsawMan.
I was thinking about using long chainsaw chains or at least a roller chain, that would wrap around the model and lay on the ground.

The problem is, the these chains are pretty short for this task, pretty expensive and sharp (chainsaw type).
I tried to find some photos / cosplays that uses these, but I failed.
I could use simple chains, but this would be the last resort.

So, I am looking for some advices:
- Has anyone tried using such chains as props? How did it work?
- Has anyone seen any good examples of photos / cosplays that use such chains? I want to see if it's worth it.
- Are there other alternatives? Am I missing something?

Made of EVA foam and PVC pipes, hollow so it can be as light as possible. I'm still learning how to paint, so my paint job might look a bit dull.

Hello! I’m designing my own Green Lantern ring, and I am learning zbrush for the first time. I want to be able to insert a micro LED and the appropriate wiring into it. Does anyone know a good software for doing that with 3D files? I apologize if this is the incorrect subreddit, thank you!

Looking for advice Macbook silver and silverlight - case only

I'm looking for the above to use as temporary photography props. I've had a look for some but I'm struggling to find a keyboard and screen connected together. I don't know how to connect them myself, so full cases would be preferred but I don't necessarily need a working device.

Does anyone know where I can find something like this, please?

Thanks!

Looking for advice Stage cigarettes advice

Hi there,

A friend of mine is directing a play that has a lot of smoking and references to smoking. He’d ideally like to do something odourless as it’s a small venue and doesn’t want to put audiences off.

We’ve identified that the look of the burning cigarette, it decreasing in size and being able to stub it out is more important than the actors being able to do a convincing puff.

I’ve only used vapes & herbals in the past, but has anyone ever used / made anything that burns in a convincing way without it being an actual smelly cigarette?

Thanks

Anyone know how to make this steel watch band from Starlite Studios look better either via weathering or should I refinish the chrome look? I thought about making it black chrome instead if it’s original look or making it look battle worn after so many years of use.

Looking for advice Really cheap hat sealer ideas

Post image

So I bought a really cheap spirit Halloween hat and I put rope around it to make it look like Arthur’s for an event but it’s supposed to be rainy and I already got a drop of water on the back and it made a faint white spot and I don’t want that to happen at the event and I was wondering if there was a good way to seal it like matte spray, or like some kind of oil or something
