Does anyone use an app to keep track of their progress? I think I’d like to start but there are a lot to choose from

The colour was pretty tho, maybe I'll rebuy it some day. Also somehow most of the blush was gona inside, so it was almost empty

Full Pan Full pans - August and September

First pic is September and the second one August. It feels so good to finish products that have been lurking around for so long! That was the case with the Nuxe Body oil and the Jolen cream. Also I love when I finish hair care because those seem to last forever.
Feel free to ask questions about any of the products you see

Cien mizellenwasser for dry skin finished! Was good will buy again.

Alverde Lippenpflege was good can't use it comfortably anymore so I have planned it.

Lancome l'absolu Rouge 06 - Tester size, beautiful colour, can't use it anymore and liked it overall but I have too many lip products to buy it full size.

Failed Pan I tried repressing for the first time 🥀 anything I can do to save it or did I completely ruin the powder?

This is (was) a Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless setting powder.

I think I used too little alcohol (I was scared of flooding it 🦧) and the paper towel thing didn’t work so I panicked and used my nasty fingers full of nasty fingerprints to press it down.

This is after two days of drying; it’s definitely dry to the touch, but my brush picks up way too much product now and it sends powder flying everywhere :(

Btw this is a PSA to take a progress picture BEFORE attempting a repressing / decanting experiment, the pan was so satisfying before I messed with it 😭 it was all empty except just over half a centimeter of product on the left side and bottom of the pan.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Broken palette lids

Hi Everyone, I have been lurking a while and have been helped so much with your pan ideas. Thank you! Since I joined I have been using what I have so have saved so much money not buying more. However, the one thing that bugs me are lids failing at the hinge. It prevents me using them as it’s such a faff. Today I have gone though them all and have taped them using Washi tape. I will see how that works, I also freshened the palettes with wipes to make them more appealing to use.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Colour theory for unwanted shades

I know this isn't really a unique tip but I love to do some colour theory for unwanted/unflattering shades, especially for eyeshadows and lip products.

I have received (either by friends/family or in advent calendars) many shades that are either too dark/light or too warm/cool toned for my liking. For eyeshadows, I mostly create a (universally) flattering taupe, that I can use for my daily makeup.

What are your ways of using unloved shades?

I’ve used up some other products this month too but forgot to keep them for photos. I’m really glad to have found this group as it means I am more mindful about using up my items. Taking photos of them is a great reminder that items can take a long time to use up!

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Project Pan made me realize how much I actually have

ever since i got into project pan, i’ve realized how much makeup i’ve bought that i barely even use 😭 i have so many products just sitting around, and it makes me feel bad knowing some of them might go to waste.

i’m so glad i found this community because seeing everyone’s project pan posts inspired me to actually use what i already have instead of constantly wanting to buy new things.

and i’m so happy to say that ever since i started panning, i haven’t bought any new makeup, bags, or perfumes! honestly, i never thought using up the things i already own could be this satisfying. i used to get so excited about buying new stuff, but now i get excited when i finally finish a product or get good use out of something i already have.

it feels good to be more mindful of my spending and appreciate the things i worked hard for instead of always wanting more. still a work in progress, but i’m happy with how far i’ve come!

how about you guys? 💗 for those who’ve been in this community for a while, has project pan changed your shopping habits too? and for those who are new here, what made you interested in project pan? would love to hear your stories!

Full Pan Finished!

I think this is the first time I’ve ever finished a concealer! The second photo was a progress shot I took in March, so honestly it probably was expired towards the end there but 🫣 the last time I had to throw out one of these concealers I was barely half way through it and I think it was because the sponge collected bacteria. Since removing the sponge on this one I haven’t had any issues with it despite it being of unknown age… now to work on her replacement (another maybelline gifted to me by a friend as her sister bought the wrong shade). Once I’m done with that one I’m thinking I want to try the tower 28 concealer but I’m open to suggestions! I think now my biggest problem area is all my blushes… that’s for another day though

Full Pan 4 months of meh

Glad to be finished with these ones. Very mid for me personally. I used to love some of them (like anything Dr Greve and the Garnier water), but the last years my skin and hair have become dryer so they don't really work anymore. I've been trying to get through my collection for one and a half year because of a big move, but did not know about Project Pan until this summer, so these empties are a lot of the last products within haircare (3 superfluous products left, which I mostly use as pre-shower mask) and skincare (done!!!).

My new hair and skin routine is like going from the guy in the "yes honey" meme to becoming the honey lol. Project Pan felt and feels worth it, I've never been as selective as now. However, it is telling how little makeup products I've managed to finish, despite using it everyday. So I'll be panning that for a while yet. Makeup is my biggest problem area, especially lip products. But making progress. Slowly.

Some things not pictured here that I also panned was from the Normal Curl Girl series, Cantu Hair, Shea Moisture, and various Elvital and Aussie stuff. Within skincare I tried various Nivea products and Decuval. It's been a journey. But I can finally store my hair accessories where my collection used to be, it's a delight.

Major exaggeration but it feels like my blush is never ending, which is why the rubber stopper is still in it because I’m over this blush and still have one just like it.

Pan Progress Emptied | Eyebrow Pen

Post image

I’ve finally used up my eyebrow pen, and it lasted me a respectable four months.
As you can see, it’s an absolute favourite of mine when it comes to my brows, which is precisely why I had the good sense to stock up on three backups some time ago.
However, once I open a new one tomorrow, my entire backup stash will officially be accounted for in my project pan.
I suppose even the best preparations eventually come to an end.
