How Trump is wielding power to stipple speech
And that should read stifle. Gah. More coffee please.
Maggie Haberman is a favorite reporter because she has been covering Trump practically since he was a toddler. Even if you know bits and pieces of news, it is always interesting to read them put together in a specific framework. That’s when patterns become even more apparent.
At this point, Trump is cornered and desperate - showing both his age and significant signs of the dementia that runs in his family. None of which contribute to sound decisions. We are seven weeks out.
prepping isn’t just having a deep pantry. It is having as much accurate information as you can gather so that you can make the choices that are best for you. Even if all you can do is be mentally prepared. Being blindsided is the opposite of prep.

Privacy and Security The hidden dangers of Musk’s votesafe.org
How anyone votes is their business and only their business.
Bottom line: For myself I don’t need to agree with people to defend their right to vote in a Democracy and their right to privacy and security without being preyed on.

Economy Public Power
According to Robert Reich private utility companies like PG&E, Duke, and Exelon control electricity for nearly 70% of Americans — and they’re using that monopoly power to drive up your bills while pocketing record profits.

Part of preparation is knowledge. No knowledge =limited preparation. Not suggesting that anyone on the sub has God-like power to change things, but knowledge does give you an edge, even if it’s just to know what to expect or how you choose to effectively react.

Legal The government wants to scare Americans out of sharing the news
People who share news are obviously members of that anti-fascism terrorist group that doesn’t have a leader, that doesn’t have headquarters, and doesn’t have a source of funding. You know, like the Patriot Front for example.
