I work at a walk-in clinic and will be returning from maternity leave and pumping every 3 hours, 30 minutes each. My work refuses to block out specific times for me to pump and just expects me to make time during the day to pump in between seeing patients (yay working in the US).

I have a portable pump that hangs around my neck and collection cups that I can wear inside my bra. So nothing is exposed but the motor is very obvious and sounds a bit like the vibrate on a cell phone going off.

The clinic can be busy and wait times can reach up to 2 hours at time WITHOUT me pausing to pump, and this is on top of appointments that can be made every 10 minutes (which they also won't block off, yay US healthcare)

So if it came down to it, would you prefer to be seen quicker, or would it be too distracting and you'd prefer to wait 30 extra minutes to be seen?
