Hello, I am a lifelong Pokémon fan, and for whatever reason I just never bothered to play let’s go Pikachu or Eevee. For reference I was born in 2004 so I grew up with the DS Pokémon games. I remember when they announced that they were making let’s go Pikachu and Eevee. And I was a little put off by a few few things. One I wasn’t a fan of how cartoony the game looked. And two, I didn’t really like the fact that they were incorporating elements from Pokémon GO to better aim this game at a casual audience and as a result, I avoided this game for years.

That was until this year, where for whatever reason I decided I might as well give it a try since I have played literally every other Pokémon game in existence. And I have to say, I’m upset that I didn’t play this game sooner. I think this was the best decision they could’ve made to serve as an introduction for Pokémon for people that I’ve never played one before. While also essentially serving as a remake for generation one. Now, I don’t mind the graphics but the one complaint I have with this game is the controls. Because I’m sorry, I hate the fact that there is genuinely no way to play this game with two control controllers unless you’re in docked mode. It just feels really unnatural to be playing the game on the TV with just one controller. And I also am not a fan of the fact that if you wanna play on the TV, you have to physically throw the Poké ball to catch a Pokémon. And maybe it was just my switch controllers, but I had such a hard time getting it to understand when I was throwing and when I wasn’t. As a result, I played probably 90% of this game in handheld mode. But truly, that is my only complaint.

Other than that, it’s amazing. It just feels like a modern improvement of what GEN one would be if it was made today. I guess the only other complaint I realistically have is the addition of mega evolution. I’m sorry, I just think it’s so weird how they make you wait until right before via wait for to finally get mega evolution. Because by that point in the game, it’s kind of just useless. But other than that, I have zero complaints. I heard for years that people wanted them to do a remake of GEN two in this style of game and after playing it finally I have to agree!

Picked it up for the first time in ages, and decided to just start over... this time playing only with species used by Rocket grunts. Here's the team I took to the Elite 4.

Got this as a hand-me-down from a friend, told me he took it apart and ripped the vibration motor wires out of its connector.

Tested it for functionality and it still connects to Pokemon go for catching and spinning pokestops.

It still lights up and can be put into support mode but it doesn't make any sound when plugged in for charging ( it does charge I left it plugged in all night)

I mean I gave him candies and all but bros stats are exploding

As the title says, like this is the first Pokémon game on switch, it would be groundbreaking for GF to release three versions of the same game, instead of following the traditional two-version approach.

Moreover Clefairy is cute, not the obvious fluffy kind but in a whimsical and mysterious way.

I had my Poké Ball Plus sitting in a drawer doing nothing for years, so I built a small Android companion app to use it as a real controller for emulators and games.

It connects over BLE, maps the analog stick, clicks, top button, and even turns shaking into an action button. It also has a deadzone calibration screen and runs in the background with a persistent notification so the connection doesn't drop while you play.

I used the findings from these posts as the base to build this app.

i played FireRed/LeafGreen years ago, along with Ruby and Emerald back in the day. i'm now going through the generations i missed and trying to figure out which games are worth revisiting.

i own Let's Go Pikachu on Switch, but the Pokémon GO-style catching mechanics have always put me off a bit.

for those who've played it, is it worth experiencing Kanto again, or would i be better off sticking with FR/LG and moving on?

i'm curious whether Let's Go offers enough to make the journey feel fresh!

So I just finished the Elite Four, and have been introduced to Pokemon Masters which I didn’t know existed… I’ve evolved my fossil Pokemon. Does this mean im locked out of completing every battle? 🥹

I need help to understand Pokémon

My son wants the 30th of Collection Pokémon and I don’t understand how to find it everywhere I go. I’m in New York city queens I go to target nothing BJ’s. Absolutely nothing. I don’t know how to look for it. And the best part is, I show him proof that I went to look pictures of the inside of target what’s a good app or website? I’m sorry for this dumb question.

Have anyone been using any third-party Joy-Con replacement? Am looking to get comments and feedback before actually purchasing any brands out there. TIA

Ive been playing lets go eevee on an emulator for a couple of days, and I believe there are no autosaves on the emulated version or something? So when i quit out, I lost many hours of progress. I used a save game editor to help me get back to where I was, and I made sure to still go back and do everything I had done already. However something was kinda weird, I went to do the lavender town pokemon tower, and my rival wasn't there, and so I just did it myself, after clearing out the team rocket hideout. I got the silph scope and the poke flute.

Now the problem that is actually occuring is that team rocket is blocking the entrance to silph co in saffron city. I have:
beat the first 5 gyms
cleared out the hideout (beat giovanni)
cleared out the pokemon tower
obtained the flute
revisted the pokemon tower

Another weird thing is that when I went back with my rival after already having cleared out the poke tower, I fought team rocket at the top, but Mr Fuji was not there to give me the flute. I believe this might've happened because the game only checks if you have the flute for the Mr Fuji interaction and not the team rocket interaction?

I genuinely have no idea what I could to do either fix my save file or find out what is actually blocking me from progressing. I have obviously already used a save file editor before so if I can turn on / off an event that might help then I am willing to do that as well.

Can anybody help?
