Hand Pixelled Pixel perfect terrain painting! πŸ–ŒοΈ

HD-2D experiment in Unity 6, it tries a best effort logic to detect and keep edges defined, based on colour/brightness of neighbour pixels, it supports normals and all the modern terrain features and does not depend on the default terrain tools this is standalone and easy to use, yes it will be released for free soon (and the assetstore as soon as they accept it I guess lol)

Hand Pixelled The Cured

Post image

Humans in this world didn't really have hopes about an escape. All they did is to find a way to sustain the underground life, hoping one day, the Spine itself would leave earth. But many studies had shown the Spine has been existing even longer than earth itself. Developed as a space abnormality, from small particles on outer space that functions as a balance for habitable planets to exist. But if it functions and grows into what is now a fluid unkillable, active entity. It feels the need to fix atomical structures of anything, what it thinks everything needs to bounce off the heat and radiations.

Being in contact with the spine as a human, means becoming the Cured, means becoming the mindless. Expeditionists would paint themselves gray in order to travel outside the world, discovering ancient human race buried in the deep sands, as well as dinosaurs under the soil, and many ancient living beings that never got to decompose. The Spine can scientifically cure anything, but the cure will always be too much... Forever too much.

Meanwhile, humans still found a way for festivals. All the countries would cooperate together to held off a month of a spineless life by simply making Chromabombs that can manipulate the Spine's Rotation. One at a time, giving an underground sector enough time to go out, paint, celebrate and rejoice, and everyone gets to have that one week of freedom for every year...

That's it for now, hope you guys can read my previous post for a context of this mini series!

Hand Pixelled Final idle animation resprite for my character

Hi everyone! After getting some really solid feedback in the comments a while back, I decided to pretty much rebuild my approach to character design and animation from scratch. Today, I finished the final version of the idle animation for this character.

I decided to drop the long sword and swap it for a short chain-blade. In my opinion, this concept feels way less clichΓ© and fits the vibe much better. I'm really happy with how the final animation turned out and plan to stick with it, maybe just making minor tweaks down the road. What do you guys think?

Hand Pixelled Complete Redesign of my TLOZ 1986 Link!

Post image
177 Upvotes

2 years ago, I posted a sprite sheet from my Legend of Zelda 1986 remake project that had link in all 4 directions with a few having the weapons he uses.

After that by I would say a year, I sort of quit pixel art and chasing my dream overall. I still had the passion and ambition burning in me that I want to make something, so I came back!

So today I spent some time to polish up my old Link sprite and voila! A brand new shiny link is here that looks way better, more detailed and more in-line with early Link artworks (LOZ1, LOZ2, LTTP)!

I'm super happy with how this piece turned out and I'm ready to go back to working on small projects like this to get me going!

Hope you guys can give me some feedback on how to improve it further or things you might dislike or have another opinion on about this piece. Thanks!

I'm starting to draw my OC character (still need to start animating).
What do you think of it?

Would love some critics, tips, sugestions...

I'm planning on using Archimedes 64 as the oficial palette for all art related to the project.

Cheers!
