hi!! im a high school senior and pitt is currently one of my top choices, although i am out of state. i am applying as a psychology major as well as i am a member of the lgbtq community and am very open about my identity. i just want to hear some opinions from students both good and bad to see if pitt fits my needs! thank you so much!!

I'm currently applying to grad school and I am realizing that I am missing a syllabus that I will most likely need to include in my application. I have tried looking for an email for the professor who taught it but she was a temporary prof and the email listed in the pitt directory website says it is undeliverable. I couldn't find her LinkedIn either. I don't have any friends who took the class with me so I don't know who to reach out to. Is there a specific office that I can reach out to for contact information or to obtain a syllabus? Should I contact the Math department and ask?

I understand that the major is being defunded through new government policies for the most part, but are there any at all left still? Hey, everyone! I've recently been accepted to Pitt and was wondering about frats (specifically in relation to lgbtq+ inclusiveness). For reference, I am a trans man (meaning I was born female and now identify as a man), and have not undergone any hormone therapy (though that might change by the time I move in to college). Are there any trans-inclusive frats at Pitt? I read a little about Delta Phi (the co-ed frat). Would that be my best bet? Thanks for any help/advice you can offer!

Im a sophmore majoring in electrical engineering, I was wondering what the best clubs to join would be for someone like me who has basically no experience other than some of the labs in 101 and 201? I don't really know where to go since I feel like everybody who's already in the clubs will know a lot more than me and i'll be essentially useless, but I'm trying to get involved more.

Anybody got any recommendations for easy, gimmie classes at Pitt? I need up to 6 credits and senioritis is gonna be in full swing. I'm seriously considering just taking a bunch of PE classes.

Those are the classes I would need to take to make sure I’m back on track. Just trying to get a bases because I’m investing time trying to get to know some professors I was recommended to get involved in research so I don’t have to wait till the start of next year, but if I can’t register for classes I’ll just be fucked.

Very specific question--in PeopleSoft it says it runs in the spring, but there are no sections listed yet.

The topics, the homework, the tools, the lecture, and club banners. I go to the Greensburg campus, everything is AI. I have to create questions and responses that get graded by this spark AI. My ethics class shows us AI Facebook reels about how AI works. My senior level class the professor said that all the homework and lecture material was made using AI. Everything is AI or they treat us like middle schoolers. It's so exhausting there's no escape from it. How can they even justify charging 10k and more for this level of education.

Is this just a satellite campus issue? Or this is a bigger thing happening all over Pitt?

Has anyone taken CS 1660 with Dan Mahoney? I see his RMP has really high and positive reviews but just wanted to get opinions on how people feel about the class in general. I am not really that good at systems design style programming so I was wondering how heavy the course is and how challenging people found it to be. Also, what language does the course use? Does it have a lot of exams?

On Pitt’s own website, I’m seeing so much conflict about the process of trying to get one of your finals rescheduled if there’s 3+ during a 24 hour period. Some of it says to submit a form ONLY if you can’t work out a time with any professor, some of it says you absolutely MUST submit the form and not to work it out with your instructor.

Which is it?? I already have a professor who is willing to accommodate but do I really have to go through this annoying process of documenting it??
