As soon as I saw the announcement that Cooperman Rope Drum was retiring their drumsticks line, I emailed about the Model No 1s and only "outliers" (weight-matched but not pitch-matched) were still available. Big thanks to Patsy and Roger for all their help and support over the past couple of decades that I've been using their sticks.

I've been playing in class recently and found out that i am way behind all of the other percussionists in my snare drum chops. I mainly play vibraphone, but we had chair tests and my band director had to talk to me privately to tell me that i was so bad at snare. Wife's father was a percussionist who studied at Juilliard in the mid-70s. Saul Goodman was his teacher and mentor.

Wife's father left a sketch of Goodman that we now have hanging on our wall, but the sketch was made by "Randolph Betts" or "Rudolph Betts" in 1975.

Can't seem to find anything on Mr. Betts.

Anyone know this man?

It says made in Germany, serial no 45622.

My band is getting rid of it. The sound quality is... Perhaps what you'd expect from a 50-year-old acrylic drum.
