Is it time for Main board artifact hate?
I’m considering removing my chain lighting for one Suplex and one Cast in Fire
Am I crazy to think mained Artifact Removal is viable in this meta?? Two mana “stone rain+” seems really good

HELP Help me identify the misidentified green card in this WW list
If I'm understanding correctly, Llanowar Visionary must be a mistake in this list. Anyone familiar with this list by Riccardo Bonato? What might have been in the deck instead?

SPOILER New Strictly Better Gain Lands
Being a Planet is technically better than not being a Planet because of [[Drill Too Deep]]. You can't do anything with the Charge Counters yet but it does interact positively with 1 card more than all the other 3 Gain Land Cycles.

URSA’S SAGA: CHAPTER II — Only 100 tickets left for our 256-player IPT!
Hey everyone!
Tickets for our upcoming 256-player IPT went on sale yesterday, and the response has been incredible. We’ve already sold a huge chunk of the tickets, with only 100 remaining! If you’re thinking of coming along, make sure to grab yours before they’re gone.
https://www.bristolpauperleague.co.uk/event-details/ursas-saga-ii-a-bristol-ipt
We’ve still got plenty of announcements to make in the lead-up to the event, but we wanted to introduce a few of the fantastic people who’ll be joining us on the day.
----
🧸 Daddy Yargle (@daddy_yargle)
He’ll be bringing his wares along for everyone to browse, as well as providing original, event-exclusive tokens for every attendee. There’ll also be some special designs reserved for those who finish at the top of the standings!
----
🎨 Piuma Alters (@piuma_alters)
Piuma will be joining us to showcase her incredible MTG alters and take commissions throughout the event. Some of her amazing artwork will also be available as prizing, so there’ll be even more to look forward to!
----
🃏 Trove Five Realms (@trovefiverealms)
They’ll be bringing a selection of MTG singles, sleeves and accessories, so you’ll have the chance to pick up anything you need while you’re there.
----
And this is just the beginning! We’ve got plenty more to share over the coming weeks and months, and we’re working hard to make this a really special event for the Pauper community.
If you’re coming along, let us know in the comments — and if you have any questions about the event, we’re happy to answer them!
Big love,

BREW Jeskai... Madness?
Obligatory new to pauper, experimenting with what you can do with it and wanna know if this deck is even remotely playable, blabla.
I'm quite interested in the recruit mechanic and wanted to see if I could combine it with madness. The plan is essentially to go wide with recruit, and a bit tall with connive and [[Moment of Glory]]. I would also like to try to fit some kind of finisher in there, like an [[Esgaroth Garrison]] or two, but idk what to cut.
After some very quick and basic playtesting, I felt quite early that it's very reactive, as I'm essentially mostly just waiting for my opponent to attack into my Lake-town lookouts so they can die and trigger the recruit.
I'm also a bit uncomfortable with the low level of interaction in the main board but idk what to cut for that.

META I made a competitive meme deck
Here is my decklist I've been working around, I had a lot of tweaks on this and I'm happy to share this with the pauper community
Technically this isn't a new build, its from an old archetype called en-Kor Combo which utilizes [[Nomad's en-Kor]] [[Daru Spiritualist]] and [[Task Force]] which creates an infinite loop to pump out your creatures' toughness, in which your payoffs are either [[Sheltering Word]] as your instant speed infinite life gain so you can stall enough your opponent to naturally mill them out, or until you get you other wincon [[Treefolk Umbra]] which turns one of your creatures into an OTK machine.
Before I wasn't impressed with this combo as it heavily relies on the combo and there's no other way to win. So fast forward to this meta, I've discovered [[Patient Instructor]] which synergies well with [[Battle Screech]] and [[Prismatic Strands]], this created a better midrange plan so you could survive early aggro threats and good board state. This deck also runs [[Lunarch Veteran]] which coincidentally a cleric, this gave the deck a lot of resources, sustain and evasion. I also added [[Masked Vandal]] as its utility removal, in which synergies with the overall theme as its an also a cleric.

BREW Crack at lifegain in Pauper
I keep thinking that with the new pridemate, [[Unflinching Hortimancer]], we can try a game that combines grind 'em out drain and a dude that grow huge and be a threat. Unclear if the cat and the food artifacts are worth while, but I think they help us get away with a 20 land count instead of 22+ like "normal".
https://moxfield.com/decks/XTxTLpfsqkSMThhBJYq8dw
My biggest concern is getting blown out by [[Breath Weapon]] which seems to be in everyone's side board. Looking to just play at local events when I don't want to play Terror or Affinity, would love thoughts or other idea's.

CARD DISC. Anyone had success with Unflinching Hortimancer?
[[Unflinching Hortimancer]] had a lot of hype that immediately got overshadowed by Zeta. Do dispatch and strix mean any big creature without evasion can't work?

Updated MTGO scripts for Linux and Lutris
I've been working to get a better performance in MTGO, using Linux. After researching about .NET 4.8.0 over Wine, I did a lot of tests and released a new script for Lutris, with performance parameters and corrections.
The performance now, for me, is as fast as in Windows. Tested in NVIDIA and AMD integrated graphcis card.
I've updated Lutris MTGO install script. Feel free to contact me here or at Github (thedevnull/LutrisMagicOnline).

PAPER Pauper in London?
Hey pauper friends!
I recently started playing Pauper with some friends online, but I'd like to find a way to play locally in paper
Is there a pauper scene in London? Where is it? How do I participate?
I know it's quite big in Bristol, but haven't heard anything about London
Thanks!

SPIKE Pick me a deck for the tournament this weekend.
I play monster tron normally, but the shift to aggro in the local meta has made it a poor choice. Top performing players are running grixis affinity, rally red, white bully, and red madness. Pick my new deck to be competitive against the meta. Thanks!
BREW Timber! A post star trek brew.
https://moxfield.com/decks/1XKGQHaz7kivRBio4pMVCQ
My number one goal in pauper is to find a place to play my favorite card [[gaea's touch]]. With the release of Star trek we get [[xindi surveyors]] which acts as a second copy of [[territorial scythecat]] (minus trample).
I've put together a list that I think can not only abuse these two landfall threats, but also maybe even compete against the meta? Take a look and give me your thoughts/suggestions please!

PAPER 64 Players, $12,109 Raised for Charity, and BIG Plans for Pauper in 2027! (Joplin, Missouri)
Hey Pauper community!
I wanted to share the results of our 2026 Extra Life Pauper Tournament and hopefully get some of you excited about what we're planning for next year!
This past Saturday, we hosted our annual charity Pauper tournament in Joplin, Missouri, benefiting Children's Miracle Network at Freeman Health System.
The results blew us away!
- 64 registered players, completely filling our venue!
- $12,109 raised for Children's Miracle Network!
- Over $20,000 raised through our Extra Life events to date!
- Six rounds of Swiss followed by a Top 8 playoff.
- Prizes for the Top 16, raffles, silent auctions, giveaways, and tons of donated MTG products and artwork.
We also received official support from Wizards of the Coast for the first time this year, along with donations from some incredible MTG artists, manufacturers, game stores, and community members.
I've been playing and teaching Magic for over 20 years, and seeing this community come together for a great cause has been an incredible experience.
Now, let's talk about 2027!
We've officially outgrown our current venue, and we're already working with The Card Wizards to turn next year's event into something much bigger.
Our preliminary plans include:
- A 100+ player Pauper main event with a larger venue and expanded prize support.
- Additional MTG side events and opportunities for casual play.
- Vendors, artists, giveaways, and more activities throughout the day.
- More opportunities to raise money for Children's Miracle Network.
We're looking at making this a regional Magic event worth traveling to, not just another local tournament. We're located in Joplin, Missouri, making us accessible to players from Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
We're still early in the planning process, but after seeing what 64 Pauper players accomplished this year, I'm excited to see what we can do with 100 or more!
I'll be sharing details as things come together at MTGForKids.Org.
So here's my question for the Pauper community:
Would you travel to Joplin, Missouri, for a large charity Pauper tournament in 2027? And what would make an event like this worth the trip for you?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially from players who regularly attend larger Pauper events.
Thanks again to everyone who helped make this year's tournament such a success. Let's make 2027 even bigger!
Daniel Crabtree

Pauper Card Harvesting
My LGS has an absolute ton of unsorted bulk( just by color.)
I have gotten 3ish decks for 10 cents a pop but the process is very time consuming and every week, I feel like I see a new card in a deck that I for sure have looked at and not grabbed just from knowing all the decks.
Is there a tool or system you use for checking bulk to make sure less is slipping through the cracks?
DECK DISC. Which current version of Boros do you think is best for current meta?
Struggling to decide within Boros Synth, Boros Bully or Boros Metalcraft (aka Moxite/Snacker/Spear/Dispatch package).
The less funny as a play pattern for me is Metalcraft, but I'd love to change my mind.
What's your opinion?

BREW A few Camel Squad brews I made
I've been playing cabrabr12's Camel Squad list on endstep. It's been fun, but I wouldn't say it's a Tier 1 deck. I don't normally make decks because I feel it's almost impossible to do better then the group project that is netdecking, but I had some ideas I haven't seen done yet so I tried anyway.
The first brew I came up splashes for Refurbished Familiar. Everyone knows it's a busted card; recurring it with sneak/webslinging alone can win games. I've iterated this list over endstep matches and it feels solid; 2 Mardu Devotee feels great to play as it both digs for lands/draw cards and keeps your manabase consistent.
The other brew idea I have is Esper Affinity Camel Squad. I got the idea when I played a match vs a spicy dimir ninja faerie ornathopter springleaf drum tempo brew that ran [[Of One Mind]] and was like wait, I run humans I could do that! I haven't tested this list as much but with Moon Circuit Hacker you have even more ways to bounce familiar and scam your opponent.
These lists have a 6 thopter / 2 springleaf drum ratio for a bit of explosive starting potential. Old lists ran 4 drums but they're pretty dead draws later. I have no idea how badly cutting two 0 drops affects consistency as I'm not Hypergeomancer though so it might be dumb, idk
Anyway blog over lmk what you think Camel enjoyers ^_^

CARD DISC. Artifact hate
With how popular artifacts are, why aren't Artifact Ward a more popular card?
I was looking for new sideboards cards for my white heroic and I think this can be a real strong card

CARD DISC. Is Dark Ritual only for combos?
I heard stories of casting [[Dark Ritual]] into [[hypnotic specter]] in old magic days. Is that kind of play ever going to work in Pauper? Is there a 3 drop that can be cast that scares people? Or 3 1 drops for an aggressive deck.
https://moxfield.com/decks/maK0ciksYUyh79ZSVACYtg
Trying to see if its worth the slot. It feels kinda risky.
Blessed Ghoul vs Sacred Cat in Gates Shell
Title is question; is there a reason to run blessed ghoul in this slot or is 3 mana too much? I am thinking maybe in the UW shell since we are leaving open mana for counters sometimes
