Trying HCSSF for the first time to learn the game. I'm running a MA Oil barrage build. I'm currently lvl 75 at tier 5 maps, doing fine with rend and oil barrage for tougher monsters. But I'm kinda lost right now with what I should do, especially in HCSSF:

1. Atlas progression is gated by Arbiter of Ash which scare me since he has so many one-shot mechs. Should I still progress the atlas until the fight then power up somewhere else? Doing other content seems to be a waste of time without atlas tree.

2. My most important chase items are Ailith chimes and Forgotten Warden. I know Bodach is locked behind t15, But is ailith chimes seems reasonable to chase at my current power? Ailith chimes wont really boost my power but will make the clear so much faster.

Normally in SC trade league we just rush to the Arbiter of divinity then progress from there. But HCSSF is so different. This is my first time reaching maps after failing 4-5 runs in campaign so I really dont want to fail this run.

Been seeing a lot of ward stacker infernalist roaming around lately and thinking of making new character before league ends. I have a gemling ready and want to ask whether it's worth it to make new infernalist char or just use the gemling and follow the same tree.

Is there anything infernalist can do that gemling can't considering how busted the ascendancy is? Or any reason why ward stacking is more popular on infernalist than gemling? Ty in advance

Just would like to preface this by saying I have no/little experience in creating gear. Anything I could build through CE or trade market is preferable

My go at Gemling mana stacking.

Runic fork/low life mana setup with Verglas+Frost Wall.

Very tanky setup using Granite/Jade mageblood tech with Ice Armour. 9 passive points gets me 25k arm/13k evasion, this together with 2500 mana regen makes the build kind of immortal outside of the mana ring mobs.

This is fun. A close friend who's relatively new to PoE wants to start a co-op run w/ me. They're excited to play a Tactician as their starter/main. I'm trying to figure out which builds I can path into which max out their power fantasy and fun factor on a budget. I have no idea what build or path they'll take. I know they're into the ranged combat fantasy, and the idea of being an inspiring officer.

Goals: Stay on the same screen as them most of the time even if area clear is slow going.

My immediate thoughts are
1) Something which inflicts freezing so that their 'nades / supporting fire shatter enemies; MArtial Artist or Elementalist maybe?
2) Companion build which leverages their banner(s); Spirit Walker

Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

I just got to maps with a new infernalist build and I have about 2.2k divs to spend on it. Is it worth it to spend it all on a 6 socket fork or should I buy 5 sock and the other items I need? Any other tips and advice for the build is appreciated

Partook in Kulemaks lettuce and messed around with fire spell on hit for infusion generation and cast on block.

This is only t8 maps with gear I had lying around. Not entirely convinced I will be able to get it to scale into end game.

Fire damage with rapid assault to trigger snap and living bomb to get the infusions started - passive and active block to trigger cast on block. Infusions have pretty solid up time.

Fiery death is deff where the damage is coming from - the ignited ground is kinda zeedps. Snap actually does a bit of nice damage in certain situations.

Could try Blackflame Covenant and scale it through chaos instead. +Skill levels to scale the ignited ground too.

Anyways, I feel pretty good about the infusion gen/cast on block tech - probs gonna pivot this into some sort of thunderous leap cast-on thing.

Does anyone know how remnant pickup range is determined for snap generated remnants? At snap cast time? In the next frame after it explodes? I'm trying to allocate remnant pickup range and extra infusions on the passive tree to weapon 2, which i will use for snap, but I'm not noticing an effect.

I Changed my 6 socket runic fork (3.6m dps) to a rare wand because PoB said it would increase my dps to 5m, but when I got the wand it actually decreased my dps to 3.1m, why is that?

I have just started playing this game 5 days ago and im having a lot of fun. I was originally following fgkorbyn’s giga bonk guide and got all the way to interludes. When i tried to switch to giga bonk after the interludes my dps fell off a cliff and i seem to want to go back to hollow form WA should i do it? And if i should what guide should i follow also what is better later on gigabonk or hollow form WA?

Hello!! I’m playing spinny bonk monk. The game tricked me as I was plowing through everything up to the interlude. Was pretty much one shotting every boss. Until the endgame.

I’m currently doing tier 5 but I am firmly stuck at this level. I’m trying to do delirium tablets but I rarely get to the end without dying. I get the abyss thing where I jump down? Dead. I’ve been avoiding doing gold waystone, only blues, because I struggle to stay alive. I made an effort to improve my resistances last week and got a new bonk yesterday which seem to improve my damage but I feel like I’m behind on a lot of stuff.

Please help me bonk harder and not get bonked myself. I have a budget of 3 divine orbs lol. I haven’t found gear worth replacing mine since like 20-30 lvls ago so I’m thinking I need to craft/market. I’m starting to understand how the crating works but wouldn’t say I know what I’m doing if I had to craft something good.

Additionally, do grand mirrors not appear everytime? I’ve managed to get to the boss while in the fog and beat them but nothing happens. Fog resumes then timer shows and it’s over. I’m trying to advance my tree but it says requirement not met, something about getting a grand mirror.

I'm currently using the runic fork and tested the rare wand on pob, it increased my lightning bolt dps from 3.5m to 4.6m, but how accurate is that? Currently, my spark (which is used to trigger choir of the storm) has 51.84%/2166% crit ratio, and 57.6%/2166% for my lightning bolt.

I know i need to pick up more jewels that focus on Max energy shield, Spell damage, Crit chance, Crit bonus and faster start to energy shield.

Any advice on gear to push my damage and survivability higher would be appreciated.

I made a really good gemling on runes but mana was always an issue. Now i have an infernalist just hit maps in rites league and looking for some ideas. I want to follow kingpinuwu’s infinite comet ward stacker but want to see what works for others. I understand it will be expensive but I like lengthy goals. Plan on playing up to 1.0. Thanks all!

Was anyone able to create a build around living lightning? I was wondering how I can estimate their damage since the game doesn't seem to display any information on it

Also, it doesn't have to be a build fully maximizing LL damage, but if they can do some decent damage later on in maps it would be fun already

I was also wondering how could I estimate the added dps on them from going Tactician with Watch How I Do It and see if it's worth it or not. My understanding is that if their base damage is already high, the added damage won't make much of a difference

Exploding frogs. Add it into your build. Costs nothing more than a skill gem and its supports, will still scale well enough off your reaping staff. Basically doubled my clear speed and takes nothing away from my big reap hits. I use it before or after every reap.

The main issue I was having with a pure reap build was my clear speed. Having to turn around for an extra reap to clear some stragglers doesn't feel great. With frogs it allows me to never stop moving forward. It also allows me to be in two places at once, like a totem build. Drop frogs on one side of my screen, run to the other side and reap, everything dies. I'm sure there are other skills that could fill the gaps reap leaves but this just works for me. Thematically it looks great with big red circles covering my screen (I opted to use the frogs on vulnerability but i am sure other curses would work). It takes no time to cast at all since reap builds rely a lot on having a decent cast speed.

This is my first actual league start, only played the tail end of .5 so I have a very long way to go knowledge wise. I know my jewels could use a ton of work and there are so many upgrades i'm looking forward to trying out with this build. This build tears through t16 4 tablets city maps in under 5 mins when I am not drunk. I have played grim pillars, varashta, petals monk and a few others. This build can keep up with them. I have invested around 1k divs into this but it really started to feel great after about 200d. Once you get your crit to 90%+ and start leaning into crit bonus it just works. I did run the campaign with this as well, though reap can only be obtained at level 38 i think. I think I will try dropping the boots and switch cast on crit to herald of blood next. Maybe switch out magnified area in my reap to bleed. No Idea!
