I have been making friends with this neighborhood cat for the past few months. Today I heard a meow outside my window and when I went outside to check I could hear his meows, but couldnāt see him. Then I see him start climbing down the wall across the street and he was coming towards me and meowing.
So I let him come close and do his usual thing with showing affection. I brought him some food with water like usual but he only drank the water. I know he drank some water, but it seemed like today he just wanted to check in and say hi because usually I go for a walk to find him.
He is well fed and very clean so we think he is a neighborās outside cat. Just a fun experience I wanted to share with someone :)

We moved into this house a year ago and had to unexpectedly move out by the end of our lease. We were hoping to renew but it didnāt work out as the landlord had other plans for the property.
This lil guy (the neighbor's cat) came over every other day, heās so friendly and sweet and would rub up next to anyone even if he just met them! He is constantly purring away. he also wags his tail like a dog!!! Neither of us ever had cats before and having him around made us so happy. Really inspired us to look into adopting a black cat in the future.
Bye bye Juno, we will miss you so much :ā(

first she came alone, then neighborhood kids saved her babies and brought them to me, now they're together and now i am on babysitting duties (mom comes and goes, babies are sleeping soundly on my terrace
have brought them to the vet for eye issues (mom has chlamydia and unfortunately the kids got them upon birth) and have gotten eye drops and salves for them, hopefully it clears up soon, wish me luck!

He used to belong to my roommate but then Ben decided he would rather live outside. He will randomly show up near the mailboxes and wait for me to get the mail. Then he will follow me home for some food and snuggles then he leaves. The orange cats and Ziggy occasionally get upset when he is here but they get over it.

Just found this subreddit, and I finally have a perfect way to describe Stella! She's our part time cat āŗļø She started visiting us when we moved here. She has a primary family, but visits us regularly. We call ourselves her secondary family. She now has her own food and water bowl, as well as a litterbox at our home. She has her toys and and treats. She's the reason my husband doesn't dislike cats anymore. He's not necessarily a cat person now, but he is definitely a Stella person. Her favorite toy is a long strand of macrame string š
She sometimes stays overnight at our place. And will stay continously for a couple of days when her primary family is away. We've been away for almost a month now, and I miss her a lot! Can't wait to see her again š„¹

Iāve been sharing this little boy with a neighbor for about 2 years. He belongs to my neighbor but he spends basically every day at my house. Initially I didnāt know if he was a community cat or if he had an owner as he started spending more and more time with me. I named him Banjo before I learned his real name is Pepsi. Iāve had to move house today and leave him behind. I wanted to take him with me but his owner requested he stay where he is which is totally fine. I knew this day was coming but it still breaks my heart knowing heāll be waiting for me and I wonāt come back. I know heās well cared for and itās kinder to leave him with his original home and established outdoor territory but I canāt help but feel so sad. I probably shouldnāt have got attached in the first place but heās just such a sweet boy. š
