I recently ordered a PS5 Pro from Best Buy for $899.99, sold directly by Best Buy, but the box I received looks pretty worn out, and the seal is already broken (seal being broken is pretty normal, I guess, as a lot of people pointed out).

On top of that, I can feel the contents shifting and rattling around inside the box when I move it, almost as if the items aren't properly secured or packaged. This makes me even more concerned about the product

I haven’t turned on the console yet because I’m unsure about its condition.

For those of you who ordered a PS5 Pro from Best Buy recently, did anyone receive it in similar condition?

I’m trying to figure out whether this is normal or if I should be concerned and request an exchange. Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I’ve wanted a gaming PC my entire life and finally built one about 6 months ago for around $2,500. I’ve genuinely loved it, especially the graphics, FPS, and freedom it gives you.

But lately, I’ve been missing my PS5 Pro. I miss the simplicity of just launching a game and playing without messing with a million settings, drivers, and Windows updates.

I also haven’t really had that one game yet that makes me go “wow, this PC was absolutely worth it.”

I’m curious if anyone else has gone from PC to PS5 Pro, or the other way around. Which do you prefer, and why? Do you ever regret switching, or do you find yourself missing the other platform?

Want to hear your best recommendations for additional accessories on my setup. What am I missing? I want a dock for my controllers as well. Let’s hear it!

Hey guys, I installed a 2 TB SSD myself months ago and no issues but lately I have been getting this message upon turning on the console randomly, sometimes it turns on just fine. Should I open it up and try to remove and attach the SSD back?

Hiya all!! So I’ve got a new 65” tv coming next month (currently have a 55”), and originally I was going to leave the ps5 vertical like it was before, but that would mean the tv would have to be put next to the back wall (third pic of the walls/everything for reference), otherwise the ps5 would be in the way of the screen. The tape on the wall is to indicate the furthest the tv would be if the ps5 stayed vertical

The alternative is to have the ps5 horizontal which I prefer as that way it’ll be under the tv, and the tv would be more centrally aligned with the storage unit and wall. I don’t see it being a problem, but I just wanted to 100% make sure it has enough breathing space first before making a decision 😅

If I go with horizontal the clock will definitely be moved more to the right as well 🤣 the tv would likely be a smidge higher too just so it wouldn’t be hovering right over the ps5

I just bought a used PS5 Pro for €1,000. The seller told me he hadn't used it for around a year.

When I first turned it on, everything seemed to work normally. I could navigate the menus and connect to Wi-Fi without issues.

However, after connecting to the internet and attempting a system software update, the console suddenly shut down and displayed a message about repairing console storage.

Here's what happened:

• The PS5 Pro initially booted and worked normally.
• After connecting to Wi-Fi, it attempted a system software update.
• The update failed with error SU-101284-6.
• I attempted the update through Safe Mode using the internet twice, but it failed again.
• Now, when entering Safe Mode, I only have Option 8: Reset PS5 (Reinstall System Software) available.
• I haven't attempted a full USB reinstall yet because I don't currently have an empty USB drive.

The seller said the console was sitting unused for about a year, so I'm wondering whether outdated or corrupted firmware could explain this.

My questions:

1. Has anyone experienced this exact error, especially after not using their PS5 for a long time?
2. Did reinstalling the system software from USB permanently fix it?
3. Could this indicate a hardware or internal SSD problem?
4. Since I can still return the console, would you attempt the USB reinstall first or simply return it?

I'm concerned because I paid €1,000 for it, and I don't want to keep a console that might have underlying hardware problems.

Any advice or firsthand experiences would be greatly appreciated

Hey everyone! My PS5 Pro arrived today (I live in Italy), but I don’t have an OLED TV yet. I’m planning to get one during Black Friday, so in the meantime I thought I’d look into some games and maybe pick up a few.

I’m mainly into realistic games. I’m not really a fan of zombies, monsters, fantasy stuff, etc. I love the entire GTA series and, of course, I’m eagerly waiting for GTA 6.

I also enjoy sports games from time to time, such as EA Sports FC, Formula 1, MotoGP and tennis.

I’m coming from a PS4 that I haven’t used in months because I was starting to get a bit bored with it. So I’m looking for recommendations for other games that might get me excited about gaming again.

I’d also love to hear your opinions on the latest sports games. Are FC 27, F1 and MotoGP worth buying? If so, which versions would you recommend?

I’m also considering Microsoft Flight Simulator, but I’ve been reading some pretty mixed reviews, so I’m not sure whether it’s worth it.

Since I’ve only just got my PS5 Pro, I’d also appreciate any tips on the best settings to enable or change, or any other useful things I should know about the console!

One more thing: I have the digital-only PS5 Pro, so I’m only interested in digital games for now.

Do we think Sony will do disc to digital if they continue down the path of no physical? Seems dumb to kill off PS4-PS5 backwards compatibility when Nintendo and Xbox will have multiple gens backwards compatible.

My goal is to enjoy games on my TV with the best possible graphics and performance without spending unnecessarily.

Would building a gaming PC capable of 4K gaming be worth it?

Would a PS5 or a pre-owned PS5 Pro offer better value for money?

Which option makes more sense in terms of performance, cost, and long-term value?

I’d appreciate suggestions, especially from people who game on a 4K TV. If you recommend a PC, please suggest a sensible build and budget.

Looks like it's not a TV issue. More like the Game issue. I tried MW4 yesterday and i couldn't notice the same problem. This issue is much more noticeable on older games. Newer games look fine.

I was worried about GTA 6 but I think I'm good. Mini-LED TV is a good TV if you can't afford or want to spend this much on OLED.
