Hi all, is there a way to update my games to match the latest version of the emulator? It won't let me launch my games and I feel silly

Recently been missing playing PS2 games so i decided to try doing emulation on my new laptop (ASUS Vivobook S14 with the Core Ultra 5 226V)

So if anyone can let me know if it is okay to do PS2 emulation with these specs that it can handle it without any issues?

Estoy buscando hacer un cambio de skin directo en Code Lyoko para PS2 (versión de EE. UU.) para controlar al sub-boss William en vez del personaje jugable Ulrich durante el combate a pie, usando la malla y las texturas de William mientras heredo las animaciones y las entradas del control de Ulrich para evitar cuelgues. Logré descomprimir el archivo de gráficos del nivel usando QuickBMS (Zlib) y usé HxD para aislar la geometría pura de William (952 vértices / B8 03) con una longitud recortada de 2CAC bytes, sobrescribiéndolo directamente por paste-write (Control + B) sobre el bloque de Ulrich. Después de reconstruir el .pc e inyectarlo en el ISO con Apache3, el mod queda 100% estable y el emulador PCSX2 inicia el nivel a la perfección, sin pantallas negras ni cuelgues; pero el motor gráfico de Neko Entertainment ignora el cambio y todavía renderiza a Ulrich visualmente, probablemente porque restaura su modelo desde una caché global de personajes o desde un contenedor. También intenté forzar el ID del outfit de William modificando los parámetros debajo del nodo PLAYER_START dentro del archivo de script lógico (.cp2), pero eso dispara una pantalla de carga infinita, así que necesito ayuda de un modder con experiencia que sepa cómo redirigir punteros de personaje correctamente o saltarse la caché global de assets en este motor.

So, on gamehacking.org, the game has cheats but on in the European PAL-M6 format and not the NTSC-U format that I want cause the stupid boat boss in the arena is trying my damn patience. So I need a way to either convert or create my own american region version of said cheats. now i could get the european version of the game but i dont know how well that'll work plus im like 5 hours in already. if anyone could help, that be cool.

I updated PCSX2 to the latest version and I tried God Hand, which I played just before, and I started to have some FPS drops; has anybody else experienced this?

Early this year, I started playing the Silent Hill franchise through Pcsx2 on windows, and it was really nice! 30fps caped, no visual bugs, no frame drops in both Sh2 and Sh3. The problem started when I moved to Linux. The same isos, same bios and the same configurations (only the DirectX was the difference), but the games were jumping frames. Even with V Sync and all the things related to fps, the game was still jumping through 30 and then 28-25. The weird part is that the Pcsx2 doesn't show that lag. The emulator says that the game is 100% at 30fps and the screen 60fps, but it's not. I'm using the RetroArch Ps2 Core and it's completely fine there, but I wanted to use Pcsx2 because of the UI. Any idea of what is causing the "lags"?

How do I fix the square in the bottom right corner? The lower the resolution, The bigger the square gets.

When I'm GTA: San Andreas from disc onto PCSX2, it stutters. This may be because the games loads assets in real-time, thus the stutter every time I explore an area anywhere. Is there a fix for this? And no, I don't want to copy the ISO onto my computer

Hi, I had just played Burnout 3 I found it to play okay but slightly choppy, it was still fairly playable. I don't actually have a powerful computer setup. My laptop is just an basic computer with nothing like a powerful graphics card in it. Anyone else gaming emulated ps2 games on low powered hardware with PCSX2? What titles are you guys playing?

I am quite limited in what I can play. I played Gran Tourismo but it was not playable being too choppy to play. I had a playstation 2 when I was a kid and I had enjoyed gaming. I liked racing games and I would like to play Need For Speed Underground me remembering playing a demo version on Burnout 3. I would like to play something like Persona 3, something that has lots of reading dialogue and lots of story in it most so now. And also, racing games. If I could get recommendation I will be thankful.

I’m new to emulation and currently using a Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 1. I’ve already set up Dolphin for GameCube games and DuckStation for PS1 games, and they’ve been running well so far. I even played Spider-Man through my projector using HDMI with no noticeable lag. I’m now wondering whether my laptop is powerful enough to run a PS2 emulator, specifically PCSX2.

My laptop specifications:
● Model: Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 1
● CPU: Intel Core i7-10510U
● RAM: 16 GB
● GPU: Intel UHD Graphics
● Graphics memory: 128 MiB shown in Windows
● Storage: 512 GB advertised capacity (475 GB shown in Windows)
● Storage type: NVMe SSD
● Operating system: Windows 11 Pro

I’d mainly like to play single-player PS2 games, particularly Spider-Man, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid. I’m not too bothered about playing at high resolutions, so I’m happy to stick to native resolution or adjust the settings if needed.

My questions:
1. Is my laptop powerful enough to run PCSX2 at playable speeds?

1. Which PS2 games are likely to run well on this hardware, and which might struggle?

2. What PCSX2 graphics settings would you recommend for Intel UHD Graphics?

3. Should I stick to native PS2 resolution, or could I use 2x resolution?

4. Would connecting my laptop to a projector through HDMI affect performance?

Hi, it's kind of a weird problem. No other game I've tried does it. I managed to get rid of any noticeable delay in all emulators I have. Somehow, GTA SA seems to have, like, I don't know, built-in input lag? For those who had the pleasure of playing it on PS2, was it always like that? It feels so frustrating. Every GTA game I've tried works great with no input lag, but this one seems like a cursed one. Here are my emulation settings. I tried changing everything, and it makes no difference, and if it does, it's for the worse, making input lag even more noticeable.

TLDR wont boot stuck in loop and only fix is uninstall and reinstall. It is on my HDD and windows is on my SSD the only error reports I ever got were about issues with dll files most of the time it doesn't even give an error report.

So years ago I had the emulator up and running no problem, I had to clear out a bunch of data. I got rid of it and eventually got around to putting it back on my PC. Got the emulator setup and everything functioning perfectly fine. I had restarted and shut down my computer several times to make sure everything was going to work. Everything seemed fine so I had things to do kept me preoccupied for several days 3 Days Later came back to the BC and the emulator won't boot with hard drive it gets stuck in a loop pulling the exact same amount of data at the exact same intervals pulling the activity rate to 100% in the past I had an issue with Windows going into hibernation mode and turning the power off on my GPU and refusing to wake it up when I would go to use it so I had to change some settings I assumed that there's a possibility that something similar is happening because it's messing with dll files and communicating back and forth between the SSD and the HDD. I turned all of the antivirus protection off assuming Windows is disallowing it but that changed nothing. I've looked into things where it mentions the possibility of it hitching up because the SSD is trying to ask for data faster than the HDD can respond causing it to go into a loop that doesn't seem to be the issue I have literally spent almost all of my free time in the last month trying to resolve this issue going through numerous different routes that I could sit here and endlessly explain. The only thing that fixes it is to do a total uninstall and reinstall I can take and save all of the folders with my settings and everything put them aside and instantly have all of my things back so it has nothing to do with my settings I'm hoping my hard drive is not failing it shouldn't it's brand new and is a pretty good quality hard drive but I do understand that's still a possibility. I have reinstalled everything to my desktop on my SSD I'm going to see if that helps the issue. I'll have to check back in a couple days to see if the problem is going to be resolved by moving it there even though I would prefer to have it on the hard drive if it does resolve the issue I would like further explanation as to why because other than a failing brand new hard drive the only other thing I can think of is something about some piece of software regarding Windows is disallowing this operation to function properly or to take place at all either through a problem or through permission issues I have exhausted myself mentally trying to figure this out I have learned a lot more about computers and emulators in the last month then I have in years I just want to play my old school video games and soak in my nostalgia it's been pretty rough lately and it's about the only desire I have to do anything lightly so I would really appreciate any help sorry for the punctuation and grammar I started using speech to text got a little lazy got a lot of stuff going on.
