Video of Former OSU coach Trent Bray warmly embracing his former OSU players after tonight’s OSU-WSU game. Bray was fired last year after starting 0-7. He’s now the Defensive Coordinate at Washington State

Still love Bray even though things didn’t work out. He’s still a really talented DC. Wazzu tn was at the most well organized defense we’ve faced since Tech. He was a hot upcoming coordinator when Smith left, he just clearly needed more time to develop as a coach. He had only been elevated to DC 2 years earlier. He took over for Smiths first DC at OSU. Smith fired the other DC (can’t remember who) and Trent was elevated from position coach, I think LB?

He helped elevate the beaver defense to finish that season and became permanent DC. Elevated smiths teams to a new level with solid defense that helped get them in the top 25…

Smith left, he took over, was just still to green and honestly doesn’t have the personality to be a HC - at least not yet. Shep brings so much energy and Bray always was walking around stoic and intense. But overall great guy that stuck by the programs during our darkest hour…

Apology

I realize I have had a negative attitude about the Pac 12 and posted a lot of negative comments and posts in here. I mean, it's reddit, but reddit is still a community of people.

I am a Wyoming fan but also a college football fan and it was hard to see the original Pac 12 dismantled in the first place and I felt really bad that Oregon State and Washington State got left behind and really wanted them to join the Mountain West and thought it just made all the sense in the world. I've only driven through Corvallis but I did spend a night in Pullman long ago and always had an affinity for WSU for how cool of a town it was and how nice the people were. And Mike Leach of course. So I developed a bit of affinity for WSU and just felt having those two join could be a bit of a soft landing and make the Pac 12 death less vexing.

But then the MWC split in two and our very own rivalry with CSU died. I know games are still scheduled out but it'll never be the same. Wyoming is in one of the toughest situations already and not being apart of a conference with the bigger fish very well may have done in any advantages our program had.

But, not to shove anything down anyone's throat, I am a person of faith and am called to love and have grace and to not anger and I know deep down everyone who went to the Pac 12 did it to survive in their own ways. The sport we all love changed in dramatic ways and I was hurt as a fan and said stupid stuff in here but I've been reflecting on all areas of life lately and this is one of them, as insignificant as it may seem.

It's not any of your guys' fault the sport and times are changing nor your fault my alma mater is just not set up to be able to survive the modern era.

I'm truly sorry for being a troll and am glad we all can still even compete at FBS and still have a conference to call home. I wish everyone luck and hope with the expanded playoff all us G6ers can have a more fair shot at getting on a bigger stage.

Could be part of the attendance problem. If you went to TXST you remember tailgate central… Make Texas State Tailgates great again.🤣

Pac-12 Basketball is coming!!!

Broncos in exhibition against the Washington Huskies tonight.

Utah State also in action against the WCC's Saint Mary's.

I don't know about Broncos on TV/Streaming, but ESPN streaming has the Utah State game.

I'm watching to see Utah State coaches and players and what has become of Saint Mary's after long time successful coach Randy Bennett left for a bigger program.

Next Saturday Gonzaga has an exhibition against the Arkansas Razorbacks, that is streaming on SEC Network, which is available on ESPN streaming of one variety or the other.

This will be Zags Coach Few's first game coached as a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, and the fellow down the sideline has been in the Hall of Fame since 2015.

Interview

Portion of interview starts at 2:35 and is less than 4 mins. Hosts will post rest of interview later.

She talks about some factors P12 considers when adding new members. Says they have worked with consultants and others to develop criteria.

- Says geography is a consideration but not a deterrent. Will be open minded. Fit is one factor.

-Says realignment that’s happened so far has been driven by football but it’s not necessarily good for other sports. Conference realignment in the future may be specific to the sport that makes sense for the sport and student athlete. Pointed to affiliate members schools P12 has in different sports.

Wazzu coaching woes

Several weeks back, I posted that I wanted to run Kirby Moore out of town, preferably sitting backward on a horse with a burlap bag over his head. I took a bunch of heat for that. I'd like to turn your attention to the instance on running the A gap for an average of three inches per rush. Over .. and over .. and over.

What are the odds Gameday comes to the blue for the Boise v Oregon State game?

Considering the fact that by that game most of the big rivalries have already happened and this is the deciding game of who will for sure take the G6 spot. Or is it just assumed Boise will have the G6 spot? Idk but would be supportive of it happening for sure

UConn and the Pac-12 have been in, on and off conversations for several weeks apparently.

"The only team the Pac-12 has talked to lately is UCONN and UCONN instigated the talks and they are ongoing".

Same guy that said Hawaii was trying to join the Pac, a few months ago.

If I’m the PAC 12 or any G6 conference…

I’d be calling lawyers especially after the information that’s leaked about the 24 team playoff. They’re effective screwing over scheduling and the ability to play quality opponents in the P4. With the requirement of 10 p4 games per school they’re also screwing over key rivalries like the Apple Cup Civil war among others. How are the G6 expected to compete if they only get 1 guaranteed spot out of 24 and are being shafted scheduling wise by quality opponents. It also effectively kills bowl games, which are a major source of revenue for some of these school’s athletic departments. This just smells like an anti trust lawsuit and if none of the G6 take a stand now they’re going to be locked out of higher level competition for good.

The Bobcats killed the Rams, CSU please get a defense and TXST could be dangerous for the rest of the season.

Good job.

But let's get the bottom up. Want to see the whole league higher on these lists than Wyoming and New Mexico going forward.
