Hello , I would like to start a punk rock band. I can play rhythm guitar while doing main vocals. I have written down a lot of music , bridges and notes I'd like to publish. My inspirations are Hole , Babes in Toyland , the smiths / morrisey . I live in Ottawa Canada but I would like to and be open to travel for gigs if this does blow up , I got my own place and my own guitar & amp . Please let me know if you would be interested !

Hey gang! Looking For a lead on a rehearsal spot where we would be able to store our gear as well as play 2-3 times a week. We have full P.A, guitar/bass/drums. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you/merci in advance for any help :)

I'm looking for a recommendation for an awesome lead guitar teacher.

I'm an adult intermediate gigging guitarist. I'm no slouch but have gaps and am looking to take it to the next level.

Looking for someone who really really knows their stuff and has a clientel that isn't just teaching 10 year olds how to play come as you are or smoke on the water until they quit in a few months.

Looking for a pro. Ideally someone who can advise on techniques, practice routines, tone/gear, etc. Someone who likes teaching dedicated intermediate adult players and mentoring people eager to break into the Ottawa musician scene.

Preferably in the central, eastern or southern end of town.

just to note I'm looking for a mentor as much as a teacher here, so ideally I'd be learning from an active gigging musician that is active in the Ottawa scene in addition to their teaching

Saw Modest Mouse at History Ottawa last night. My first show at the venue and I loved it. I've been to several shows at History Toronto and it's an amazing venue so I was excited to check out the Ottawa version and it met all my (very high) expectations. So happy that Ottawa finally has a great mid-sized venue. Looking forward to seeing many more shows here.

For the "The Record Company" show at Bronson, it says the tickets are General Admission but doesn't say if it's seated or standing (usually they do indicate). I did email Bronson Centre (3-4 weeks ago) but heard nothing.

Do anyone know it it's standing or seated (or both)?
