I bought a new orchid plant yesterday, and its roots are very tightly packed in the pot. Do I need to repot it?

I have a garden in Costa Rica where I grow a lot of orchids in the trees. Found this group, thought I'd share an out of season bloom

Any advice? New leaves are burned off and other leaves are deformed. Any advice helps! Watered daily and I like in FL!

when i first got it, i googled how to care it, repotted it with orchid mix, liquid fert every 2 weeks, for 7 months but it was slowly dying

so i tried tying it to my avocado tree, no soil, still the same fertilizer schedule and after 2 years it finally grows flower

Got no response from anyone on another community on people's personal thoughts/experience of the different way to mount than how we typically see

We had to cut our tree but wanted to save the orchid

So we just cut off the joint where it was growing and mounted it to a wall. It's a naturally occurring pair of orchids (dancing lady right, vanda left) and I know the trunk will rot but idk what else to do. Could I hydroponically keep the tree portion alive? Should I transfer to another tree when it's ready? It looks pretty here for now and I didn't want to shock the orchids
