So far it’s my favorite in the series. I really like Suiryu’s character as a whole, he is very well written in my opinion. Despite being crazy strong he ends up chickening out when he realizes that Goketsu will kill him. I also appreciate Snek’s character more now, compared to his character in the earlier volumes. He’s more of a hero now than what I saw previously.

On volume 13, CH71, there’s this small illustration of Mumen Rider as a Tank-Top member! I thought it was adorable, he’s one of my favorite characters. I paused my reading and took a picture of the book. I drew some hearts and gave him head pats. Couldn’t help myself lol.

I wanted to open a discussion about Saitama and Garou's entire conflict. From their early, comedic accidental encounters where Saitama completely brushed him off and didn't even realize who the "Hero Hunter" was, all the way to their final confrontation, their dynamic is really unique.
How do you feel about how their fight developed, especially regarding Garou's motivations and Saitama's emotional state during it? What stood out to you the most about how their clash played out?

I see a lot of people write Garou off as someone who lashed out, simply because he was spiteful of his bullies. Saying that it was nothing more than a childish tantrum, one that was driven by vengeance against those that had wronged him.
And while Garou may be a immature brat full of delusion, and he was left with ingrained feelings of spite from his childhood that fuelled his anger, it’s pointed out pretty plainly that it wasn’t a simple matter of bullying.
There’s much to attest to this for anyone paying attention but, for me, the best showcase of this, and the one I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone point out, is that Garou didn’t even remember his bullying until a critical moment, even acting surprised that he was having the flashback.
You see this with how things are drawn. Garou’s bullies, his teacher, and even the main one that tormented him the most and embodies the “biased justice” Garou seeks to destroy, are all drawn as shadows.
He doesn’t remember them, not really anyway. Their faces are long gone from his mind, and he even momentarily struggles to remember Tachaans name.
What he did remember, wasn’t the bullying, wasn’t the people involved, and was hardly even the event itself; It was the feeling.
The feeling that other people could enforce a roll upon him, that they could decide who he was and what his destiny would be. And that no matter how hard he fought, how hard he tried, or even his true nature that was in opposition to the role; as long as those around him decided that was who he was, that was who he was.
He rejected this, of course, setting out to prove everyone wrong, and that he wasn’t meant to be crushed just because that was what people wanted and what they thought was meant for him. It’s what drove him to walk the path he did.
However, in a beautiful contradiction and showcase of hypocrisy, Garou ends up embodying scenario more so than just about any character in the series.
Instead of walking away and forging his own destiny like he should have done, and what would have really stuck it to the people who tried to force him to be something he wasn’t, he did everything he could to become exactly what they wanted him to be: a monster.
He plays that role, he recites the typical hero vs villain scenario and hints how he believes that’s how things should be, he pushes himself again and again to become the symbol of fear all would unite against.
Ironically, fuelled by his rejection that his fate could be decided for him by others, he inadvertently lets them decide his fate, to be the one everyone hates.
In his attempt to prove the majority opinion couldn’t and shouldn’t influence a person’s destiny, and that this whole thing was just a childish game that lacked the acknowledgement of a human’s nuance , he ends up continuing to play that game. Reinforcing the very scenario he despised, only this time he intended to win.
And this is why he was always destined to lose, not just because of Saitama, but because the ideals that he let motivate him were inherently built on shallow and contradictory foundations. Even though he knew the scenario was bullshit, in his attempt to prove it was bullshit, he ended up becoming exactly what people wanted him to be.
He didn’t cast off the shackles of majority opinion on himself, he strove to prove he could wear them so well that people no longer even saw the chains.
Garou was in immature, hypocritical, delusional, brat. But at the end of the day, despite all his delusions and his shaky foundations, he was just one man trying to give fate a run for its money, despite knowing that fate didn’t even exist.
What a beautiful idiot.

Do we think that in the future, depending how far, bandai may step down; or have their senior position in the anime “outbid” leading to a recreation of season 3 onwards?
Alternatively, will bandai namco help provide a larger budget, with more time to get the show to a point where it deserves?
We have already seen how bad season 3 was, ending up with 8 out of the 9 lowest rated anime episodes in history shortly after release, and we know this is due to Namco being an awful senior development team, not only cutting budget, but also shortening scheduling. Due to the horrible ratings of season 3, will they provide better management (since one punch man can be a HUGE moneymaker), and if they do, is there any hope that JC Staff can actually handle it? or would a change in studio be needed?
let me know what you guys think :)

This is a 20-hour long Love letter to One Punch Man Made by the Youtuber Satori, who also makes other Amazing One Punch Man Content.
This Series is Spectacular, not only making Boros an even better character, but taking the time to make every character feel awesome. Every Character gets something, But the Standout Characters are Boros, Saitama, Tatsumaki, Pheonix Man, Garou, Silver Fang, and Especially Platinum S.
Season 1 is 9 hours long, with the story being mainly Boros centric with small sections without him.
But as good as Season 1 is, Season 2 might be some of the best Fictional Material I have ever consumed. It is currently about 11 hours long, and while Boros has Less of a Focus, every character not Named Sweet Mask gets major moments (He Might Eventually, he just hasn't yet), with most getting major roles. Season 2 is quite a bit darker than Season 1 and the rest of One Punch Man, and you will most likely cry. Season 2 also has some incredible Voice Performances, especially Garou in the later parts.
The Fights throughout the series are choreographed perfectly, and despite almost no original animation being present, you feel so engaged in the fights.
This Series is in contention for the greatest Fan Made Content have ever experienced, and it's still on going. Please go give it a shot, Satori has far too few views and subscribers for the amount of effort he puts into these Videos.

This image was from 2022, so we know there was at least a greenlight around at the time, so they had at least 3 years to make, but the production of the anime was stated to have only a couple months
Where tf did those 2 years go!?

With how successful Mob Psycho 100 was, given ONE's unique artstyle, would you guys watch an animated version of the OPM webcomic? I feel like it would be just as funny and could be just as well animated as Mob Psycho, if we got the right studio.
Thoughts?

One punch man is one of my favorite series of all time and it really makes me sad and disappointed to see what it has become in recent years, but I don't want to give up hope on it
I'm a pretty big Sonic and Godzilla fan as well as one punch man and we all know those series have seem very high highs and very low lows but as of right now both of those franchises have been able to recover from the worst years of its history
Even if it takes a decade I don't care I just have hope that it can find its footing again and truly be something amazing

This is not powerscaling, people keep saying Saitama is not this and that, just 'common end of series to beginning protagonist' even in webcomic, and so called 'disrespectful to ONE'.
They keep quoting those repetitive 2 scans and ignore these ones i shown.
About theory of shonen manga and One Punch Man's Saitama is already above the whole, all of 3, structure, structurally.
They also ignore that level 9999 is not actual number but philosophical number of Japanese Gaming culture on being total maximum, unbeatable character. And Maximum sometimes interchangably with limitless
This is philosophical in verse narrative clarification meaning.
This post is mainly not for powerscaling, but for people who keep saying 'your assertion ignores ONE, its insulting to Saitama and ONE narrative' ad nauseams.
All 3 versions of Saitama have this, Webcomic, Anime, Manga. Even if 1 abandoned, there are 2 left.
