I’m reaching one price right now and am on the part of water seven where Sanji is fighting the ramen nose guy, he uses his roller skates to light his foot on fire while kicking.
I don’t know how I didn’t realize this before but Sanji stole his signature move from a guy that shoots noodles out of his nose.

Discussion Which islands do y'all think won't survive the story?

Which islands do y'all think won't survive the story?

I think Alabasta is 100% gone by the end of the story...there's just too much lore and danger surrounding Alabasta and it's relation to the Void Century. Either Alabasta is gone or it will be rebuilt in a completely different place.

There's also a slight chance that Wano will also be gone due to Pluton being there and it's history...

What do y'all think?

Discussion Is Elbaph losing One Piece's sense of adventure? Spoiler

Lately, Elbaph feels stretched out, and the sense of adventure is missing.

A lot of the characters feel underused too. They don't all need a big fight, but I'd like them to have something meaningful to do beyond just being present.

Is anyone else feeling this, or is the arc working for you? What do you think is missing?

Misc one piece stories that resonated with you on a scarily personal level?

I just wanted to take a moment and talk about how DEEPLY Robin’s story resonates with me, in a way no other character in fiction quite does, and I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience with any of the characters as well.

I’m kind of a loner. I have “friends”, but I’m rarely included in plans unless it’s a birthday celebration. I have other friends who do care for me, but they have friends they’ve had longer. I’m no one’s first choice, and all my relationships with others feel half-baked. I don’t know if anyone would care about me enough to make sacrifices for me, to fight for or defend me. It’s gotten to the point where I would rather people not know about me at all than they know me and not want to be around me.

I have the kind of hopelessness that Robin had. The kind of pain that came from accepting that I would always be alone, that I wouldn’t ever find friends who would love and support me during my ups and downs, who would stick around even when I’m sometimes unbearable or imperfect. People that I don’t have to actively wonder every single day if a single mistake would destroy my relationships.

But she found her friends. She found people that would fight for her, even if she made mistakes. “Ain’t no one born in this world to be alone.” Robin had lost hope for a long time, but eventually, Saul’s words proved true. The seas were big, and yet Robin found her place with Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats. It gives me a little more hope that maybe it’s possible for me to not be alone forever.

Anyways, this was just a little bit of a rant for people who might understand a little more than my “friends” do (I have one closer friend who watches One Piece but she doesn’t have the same insecurities as me, so she doesn’t really get it despite her caring for me). Thanks for listening to my TedTalk. If ya’ll have any similar thoughts or feelings, feel free to share! Frankly, I’m just curious if I’m the only one who felt this surreal connection with any of the characters.

One piece was the only anime besides mushoku tensei that had me stand up from my seat, and wonder why did the character have to die. It has crazy emotional impact

Theory Theory time.

My ivankov theory has always been based on a voice actor moment in the Dub. Its Eva's voice actor on Kuma's den den mushi. not sen Goku's voice actor. He explains that he is ordering him to kill the straw hats before the world can find out he's taken out 2 warlords. Sounds crazy but this wasn't a marine order and the Revs were always just there to see what luffy and crew are capable of. Yeah I checked!!! We meet sen Goku's va in episode 151. Kuma's thriller bark is 370ish. Eva's va intro was 430ish. They could have used sen Gokus va but used eva's future va instead.

Discussion Update of a first time One Piece watcher.

So a few weeks back I commented on someone's post that I was getting into the Thriller Bark Arc and I was loving this show.

Just wanted to give a quick update to say I am now on episode 433 and Luffy had just met up with Bon Clay while searching for Ace in the Impel Down arc.

I have had many things spoiled for me so I am not worried about that but what did you guys think about the story so far? I am loving this arc and I really like how they reintroduced characters we have seen already i.e. Buggy, Crocodile, Mr.3 and of course Bon Clay.

Discussion A friend gave me The Smitty/brook happy meal today

Post image
39 Upvotes

I was only able to get some McDonald’s once this past month and got two planktons

My mom really wanted the smitty/brook toy however we gotta make due with a meager disability check every month and my birthday was also last month so after that and paying all the bills

We had to hold off until the next paycheck on 10/21. Of course by then the one piece promo will be over

So I assumed Meh that’s it

However when I talked to a friend who lives next door today and mentioned the one piece happy meal toys

He brought up he got the Skeleton and showed me it before asking if I wanted it for my collection

I thanked him and said yes then gave him my extra plankton
