Spoiler Alert Jefferson's hat makes Zelena's storyline a waste of time Spoiler
In s1 ep21, Jefferson uses his hat to go back to the moment that Snow drops the poisoned apple and falls under the sleeping curse, which is months, if not years, before the curse is enacted. He grabs the apple for Regina, who uses it to bake a scone for Emma. This is straight-up time travel right? But then years later, Zelena's whole storyline centers around inventing the first ever time travel spell, which requires like years of research and a bunch of obscure ingredients. Why the heck didn't she just go meet up with Jefferson? She was keeping tabs on Regina and Rumplestiltskin, so I'm sure she would've seen them working with the Mad Hatter.
I know the real answer is probably just that it's a plot hole, but curious if anyone has any headcanons to try to explain it or if the writers ever addressed this. Sorry if this question has been posed before; I've just never seen anyone talk about this, and it just occurred to me on a rewatch!

Discussion Started Season 7
I have never really seen the show, but have binging it. Dear Lord, Season 7 just started and I get why they should have just ended at Season 6 already.

Speculation Could Jefferson aka the mad Hatter leave storybrook during the curse?
I already know it’s very unlikely for Jefferson to leave Storybrook because of his family and how spent years stuck in Wonderland making hats. But he is one of the few characters that remembers his old fairytale life and his cursed life. Making it where he could have potentially cross the towns border with no consequence. The only two people that could have told Henry he was adopted would be either Jefferson or Mr. Hopper. Regina doesn’t seem like a person to tell Henry he was adopted.

Discussion THE HOLY TRINITY
Disclaimer: This is not intended to show disrespect toward anyone’s beliefs; my goal was simply to adapt OUAT characters into these roles. It’s not a perfect, one-to-one mapping, for instance, you’ll notice that the "Father" figure is represented by a "Mother" figure, and the "Son" is represented by a "Daughter."
I came across this trend on TikTok and decided to try it out using OUAT characters, placing each one in the role that I felt suited them best and honestly, I absolutely loved how it turned out!
For Adam and Eve, I initially considered Snow and Charming, but then the idea of using Merlin and Nimue occurred to me. If we look at the show’s chronology, they are essentially the first couple we’re introduced to, right? Or something like that, if I’m not mistaken xd. Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and Merlin and Nimue also shared a relationship before everything went sideways. They lived in peace in Camelot until Nimue, craving more power, drank from the Holy Grail to become immortal; a move meant to ensure no one could ever hurt her again. While it didn’t play out exactly the same way as it did with Eve, I think there are some clear parallels.
Next, I cast the Black Fairy as Lucifer. I chose her because she was one of the series' major threats, proving to be a highly dangerous enemy to Emma and the rest of the group. Plus, both were banished, which I thought made for a fitting comparison.
Choosing James and David as Cain and Abel was one of my favorite decisions. James harbored resentment toward David because their mother chose to stay with David rather than him. This reminded me of the story of Cain, who became angry when God accepted Abel’s offering but rejected his own. In both instances, the conflict between brothers stems from jealousy and eventually escalates into something far more serious.
As for Jesus, I chose Henry, because from the very beginning, he is the one who strives to reveal the truth to the inhabitants of Storybrooke. He is also the one who never stops believing in Emma, even when she herself doubts that she is the Savior. He helps Emma see that there is still a chance to save them.
For Judas, I chose Rumple, because he often betrays the heroes just to get what he wants. This reminded me of Judas, who handed Jesus over in exchange for thirty pieces of silver. Both end up betraying someone with whom they share a bond of trust, all for the sake of their own interests.
And now for my favorite part: THE HOLY TRINITY! Regina as The Mother, Emma as The Daughter, and Snow White as The Holy Spirit.
First, there’s Regina as The Mother. I didn’t choose her because she is Emma’s mother, but rather because of her backstory and how she evolves throughout the series. It was her curse that created Storybrooke and changed the lives of all its inhabitants. Furthermore, although she began as a cruel person full of hatred, she gradually learned to love and protect Henry, and eventually began to care for others as well. I liked the idea of associating her with "The Mother" because of that blend of power, authority, and love.
Next, we have Emma as The Daughter. Since "The Daughter" in this trend takes the place of Jesus, I decided to distribute some of those characteristics between Emma and Henry, as both possess traits that remind me of Him. Emma is the Savior(the one who breaks the curse and battles against darkness to set others free), while Henry restores their faith, she is the one who confronts danger to save them.
Finally, I chose Snow White as The Holy Spirit. To me, the Holy Spirit is a presence that accompanies and guides believers; Snow reminds me of this through her kindness, her hope, and the way she encourages others never to give up. I also like that she is Emma’s mother, as I can see her as someone who provides guidance and support.
I chose Hook, Neal, August, Graham, Elsa, Anna, Ruby, Lucy, Jacinda, Tilly, Belle, and Zelena because the twelve apostles were the people closest to Jesus, they accompanied him and later continued his mission by sharing his teachings. In OUAT, I wanted to select characters who, in one way or another, have stood by the protagonists, helped others, or ended up being part of something greater than themselves. I know they don’t all fit in the exact same way, but I liked the idea of bringing them together based on what they have experienced and the influence they have had on the story.
Anyway, I'd like you to share your opinions on how you would organize it in your case🤗

Question Does anyone else think Emma is highly annoying?
I’ve (26 M) been rewatching Once Upon a Time lately and I’m currently up to season 3.
The more I re-watch the show, the more I have such a distaste for Emma. I find myself getting really annoyed by her. So much so, that it makes watching the show difficult for me, which really sucks because I love that show. The choices she makes and the level of immaturity for someone her age is something that is off-putting to me personally.
I’d love to know what everyone else thinks.

Spoiler Alert Were Graham and Emma true love? Spoiler
Spoiler warning: there are spoilers for like the whole first season in this post!
I recently started a rewatch and just finished S1 E7 ("The Heart is a Lonely Hunter"), the episode where Graham dies. I usually skip this episode because I find it so sad and frustrating. I've also always hated the explanation for why Emma's kiss conjures Graham's Enchanted Forest memories. But this time, I thought of a new explanation: true love's kiss!
As a recap, the episode starts with Graham kissing Emma and then having flashes of his past/fairy tale memories. Eventually, he visits Henry, who comes up with this theory: Graham and Emma have a special connection because, without Graham sparing Snow White's life, Emma could never have been born. That is the only explanation we get for what follows. Then, Graham and Emma both see the wolf that guides them to the entrance to Regina's vault. After the confrontation with Regina, Graham and Emma kiss in the sheriff's office, the curse is lifted, and his full memories return right before Regina crushes his heart.
Henry's explanation for Emma's kiss bringing Graham's memories back has never really sat well with me. It's just circumstantial, and by the time the show ended, you could say the same about dozens of characters. A lot of people helped save Snow White and Prince Charming over the years. The other obvious explanation is Savior magic. I don't like this one because 1. "savior magic" wasn't even a thing this early in the show, and 2. there's no magic in Storybrooke yet anyway. I guess maybe as the Savior, her kisses would've packed a punch with anyone, but again, that seems too easy.
So, as I was rewatching this last time, I had a new idea. What has the power to break any curse? True love's kiss! That's what breaks the curse for the town at the end of the season, when Emma kisses Henry; it makes sense that it would break the curse for Graham, allowing him to remember his true identity. That means what Emma and Graham have is the beginning of true love! This makes me think that if he hadn't been killed by Regina, Emma and Graham probably would've turned out to be soulmates!
You might be thinking, 'Well then, why didn't it break the curse for the whole town?' I have a few ideas. Either the curse specifically had to be broken by Emma and Henry (mother and child reuniting), a reverse of the way she escaped it by being torn from her parents, or the kiss needed to be timed up with Emma finally being open to believing in magic. Emma was not ready to believe yet but Graham was.
Anyway, I love Killian and Emma, and I know the real reason they killed off Graham's character was a scheduling conflict, but I just thought that this was a fun theory that made more sense to me than the explanation they gave in the show. What do you guys think?

Discussion How did they get food and medicine to Storybrooke?
Just had a thought and now I need your theories. If the people in Storybrooke weren’t allowed to leave and they said no one ever visits and Storybrooke doesn’t technically exist because it’s not on any map, how did they order food and medicine and whatnot. And following on from that, how did they file taxes, and how were the random people that appeared able to get Social Security numbers. Did Regina just collect the money Storybrooke’s economy made and say it was going towards taxes? But if that was the case, surely The Mirror would have outed her. Did the curse genuinely make it so legally, nothing was askew? But then where are the health inspectors that would have to come in from out of town etc. Were some people allowed to leave like Henry because they weren’t actually leaving Storybrooke for good? I’m definitely deeping this, it’s a show, it’s just genuinely got me thinking. I feel like I wouldn’t have so many questions if the town wasn’t literally invisible. Anyways, food for thought!

S7 Spoilers Just finished Season 7. Mixed feelings, but I’m glad I watched it.
It took me about 3–4 episodes to get into it, but I actually found it pretty interesting. After the first half, though, it felt unnecessarily dragged out for me. I think the season could’ve been significantly shorter. Thankfully, the last few episodes managed to pull me back in.
I really appreciated the stronger focus on family and friendships rather than romance. Some of the previous seasons had neglected certain relationships in favor of romantic ones, so this was a refreshing change.
I loved Regina and Henry’s relationship. Henry breaking the curse by kissing her forehead was such a beautiful moment. I also really enjoyed Wish Hook and his relationship with Alice. I think that’s how they should’ve approached the original Hook.
I think this season finally gave Rumple the redemption arc I had been wanting for a long time. His character had become so repetitive in previous seasons. I wish they’d explored this side of him much earlier. His sacrifice to save Wish Hook, followed by his reunion with Belle, actually made me emotional.
As for the new characters, I thought there were some interesting ideas. Unfortunately, some of these storylines felt abruptly concluded.
Henry and Cinderella’s romance didn’t work for me. I never felt much chemistry between them.
Ironically, I thought Henry had more chemistry with Drizella 😅
Despite all that, I really appreciated this season as a conclusion to the series. The finale made me emotional, especially that final shot of the “Leaving Storybrooke” sign.
And with that, my OUAT rewatch/first time watch has come to an end. I’m really glad I finally got to experience the entire series.

Discussion Which character from Once Upon a Time are you?’ or ‘Would you be
There are loads of online quizzes along the lines of ‘Which character from Once Upon a Time are you?’ or ‘Would you be …?’
So, how many times have you been which character?
I’ve been …
I’ve been Belle seven times (note: Belle is the only one where I’d say, ‘Yes, that’s right’)
Hook three times

Discussion age
so do we know how old bae is? like canon age. like i was thinking about it and he was what 13? when he went through the portal how much time passed between then and then when regina casted the curse? how much older is he than emma? im hoping it was less than a year later that regina casted the curse bc their age gap would be weird. thats another thing i saw of emma being 17 but someone said she was actually 18 when she met neal and had henry (or 19 idk what they said)

Discussion Belle
does anyone think belles writing is purely just misogyny? im rewatching ouat rn and im at the part where belle is talking to killian on the ship to take bake baes cloak and she said that killians heart is darker than rumples….”i see the good in him, hes changed” bro killed his wife bc she didnt wanna be with him and cut off a dudes hand bc he was wanted LMAO shes so insufferable its genuinely annoying and makes me want to skip ANY part that includes belle and rumple. shes watching him beat up killain and is still like “ik theres good in u” CAN U PLZ STFU OMGGGGG. her character is so so badly written it hurts. they had mulan have the hots for aurora but they draw the line at not wanting belle to be with “the beast”???? clearly they dont care too much about the original source material so this just pisses me off. i do not understand the whole thing with belle and rumple. i genuinely dont. i hate belles writing so much. other characters r ofc iffy too but belles character is genuinely just bad and if not the worst

Question Question about third season Spoiler
Okay, so the rules say you can’t have spoilers in the title, so I’ve avoided that.
Anyway, in season three, after Peter Pan’s casting of the Dark Curse sends everyone except Emma and Henry back to fairy tale world, Storybrooke mysteriously reappears, and it’s eventually revealed that Snow White sacrificed David in order to cast the Dark Curse and get back to Emma, but Regina was able to bring David back to life by giving him half of Snow’s heart.
But, in season seven, it is revealed that since Regina has sacrificed the thing she loved most, Drizella is able to use her to cast the Dark Curse, and Regina is with Snow and David as they are trying to get back to the Land Without Magic, so does that mean they didn’t need to sacrifice David in order to use the Dark Curse, or am I missing something?
