the page icon editing screen in my current workspace compared to an old workspace!

i used to be able to upload images for page icons but i’ve noticed that in my more recent workspaces, that isn’t an option anymore. how do i fix this?

Is anyone else having problems with Notion AI with Claude model lately? I’ve run into some issues:

Before it stopped responding, some replies became confusing and felt as though different models or assistants were involved in the same conversation—even though I had already specified the model I wanted to use.

I can’t verify whether it actually switched models. That’s just how the responses came across, and I’m wondering whether anyone else has noticed something similar.

I think that might be just about the model responsible for compacting.

For context, this was a long technical conversation involving code, GitHub releases, and updates to Notion pages. The chat history also showed “Context compacted” before the later issues, although I don’t know whether that’s related. As T&C of Notion AI already claimed that some functions part may pass to other model underground despite specifying a model....

Has anyone experienced the similar situation?

A few days ago I got a popup for a Business Trial with Notion, that I accidentally confirmed.

I have no payment method with notion, will the trial automatically end after it‘s over?

I got the email that in a few days I need to pay, but I want to cancel the business plan. The support told me to go to plans and cancel it there, but there is no option to cancel (I only see my Business Free Trial with no cancel button, and the Enterprise Limited Plan).

When I go to Billing -> Manage Trial, the Manage Trial button doesn’t work, so I don’t see any option to cancel there. Under change plan it shows I have the free plan for 0€.

How shall I proceed? I’m really pissed off that the customers are lured into payed plans like that with no clear option to cancel. I think I will just leave notion and go to anytype if I don’t find the option to cancel.

all the ai agents say that notion doesn't support that but maybe the community knows best, i got all my work in notion and i don't want to switch, but if there is an alternative that can do what i want ill switch.

When I embedded a video link(youtube), it played fine when I scrolled down.

No, when I play the embedded audio, it stops whenever I scroll pass it.

The first pic is when the formula just has the Profit property in the code. The second pic is what happens when I try to do literally anything to it. I just wanted to round it, but instead it did this. Where did my numbers go, and how do I get them back?

I see competitors of notion they valuation to revenue is pretty around 3-4x while notion sits at 11Billions with judt 600M revenue, main problem they can not scale more , to justify their valuation they need at least 15M paid user triple of what they are having

I know that this is a long shot, but is there any way to set databases attached to a specific page under the Private section to not associate with each other? I have two dashboards that have absolutely nothing to do with each other, but when I go at add a relation to any database in either one, the options listed are all of the databases I have across the entirety of my Notion pages (over 30), and the irrelevant clutter drives me crazy. I know I can just use the search bar, but sometimes I don’t remember the exact name of the database I’m creating a relation to.

Having a ton of trouble figuring this out, and would appreciate some feedback.

• I have a database
• It has 3 different page templates, each with different body content
• I have a form builder on that database
• A person fills out the form
• A new database entry is created from the response
• I cannot find any means of assigning a page template to a form response

Database automations don't appear to let me use the form to create a new page that corresponds to a specific template either by "Add a page" (which adds a new blank page in addition to the form submission) or "Edit a page" (which only allows a property to be edited, not a page type/template, and not the body content).

Is this just not possible, or am I missing something?

I’m trying to use the built in Notion functionality in iOS Shortcuts to create a page via a shortcut.

When I’m editing the shortcut I can select my workspace, account and database. So it can clearly talk to notion to pull that info to select from.

But then the moment I run the shortcut I get a pop up asking me to log in to notion and if I open then notion app I find it’s either crashed or been signed out.

I’ve uninstalled the notion app, rebooted and reinstalled it. But no change

Am on the latest iOS.

Any ideas? It’s driving me nuts.

Most shot lists are just lists — "rings", "first kiss", "family photos" — with nothing about how to actually get the frame.

So I put together one that's arranged in the order of the day, with a short note on every shot. A few examples:

- First look: shoot from behind the person turning, so you get the face of the one seeing. Long lens, stay out of the moment.

- Family groups: get the agreed list in writing a week before, and hand it to someone loud who knows the family.

- Speeches: watch the listeners, not just the speaker.

There's also a day timeline where every block has the reason it's there, plus the three blocks that always run late and how to protect them.

I genuinely love Notion, but what the hell is this pricing model?

I just ran out of my 300 monthly credits. Fine, no problem. I actually want to keep using some AI, so I figured I'd just buy another 1,000 credits for $10.

Then I noticed the catch. Notion wants to charge me the full $10 TODAY, but any credits I don't use by October 23 are gone. Just like that.

And if I want to keep using those additional credits after the 23rd? Another $10.

Are you f* kidding me Notion? And to make things worse, I'm from Brazil. $10 might not sound like much to someone in the US but here... That shit adds up fast.

So, I'm being asked to pay full price for credits that could disappear in a week simply because I happened to run out at the wrong point in my billing cycle.

Browser web version doesn’t have page tabs at the top, so I can only open one Notion page at once, which is annoying.

Official Notion has no Linux build. Looking for stable unofficial Electron wrapper / client that supports page tabs. Has anyone tried Lotion or other alternatives recently?

Hello, I'm Aarav, a 16 year old open source developer. For the past few months I've been building Morrow, a desktop app for notes, databases and ideas, and today I'm releasing it!

I wanted one app that could do everything a modern workspace does, without an account, a subscription, ads, AI or a cloud server. So I made it.

Your notes are yours. Every page is a plain Markdown file in a folder you pick. You can open them in any editor, back them up however you like, and keep them forever, even if you stop using Morrow. Nothing you write is ever sent anywhere. There is no telemetry and no login, and it works with the internet unplugged.

Real databases, offline. Any page can be a database with board, table, calendar, list and gallery views, plus filters, sorting, grouping, relations between pages and formulas. You can even drop a live database right in the middle of a page.

Everything is built in, with nothing to install or configure. There are wiki links with backlinks, a graph of how your notes connect, tags, daily notes, a task list that gathers every checkbox from every page, templates, and a quick capture shortcut that works from any app. You also get an infinite canvas with cards, arrows and freehand drawing, flashcards with spaced repetition, diagrams from text, maths, code highlighting, tabs, and audio, video and PDF files that play right on the page.

Private by design. You can lock any page with a password (AES 256 on disk), keep version history of every page, and sync between your own computers over your own network with no server in between. As an obsidian user by heart, this was pretty imp for me.

Make it yours with light and dark themes, accent colours, page icons and covers, and your own CSS if you want to restyle anything.

Getting your stuff in and out is easy too. Import Markdown folders, and Markdown and CSV exports from other note apps. Export any page as Markdown or PDF, or publish pages as a static website.

It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and it's free and open source under the Apache 2.0 licence.

A heads up: the builds aren't code signed yet, so Windows and macOS will show a warning the first time you open it. That's normal for new open source apps, and I'm working on signing.

My student discount of Notion AI addon (which later turned into Business plan) is ending soon. I'll probably be paying the full price soon for a new subscription, since it has been super helpful and useful for me to understand everything and explain and point to me where i went wrong so...

If anyone knows/or tried which subscription has better/higher usage I'd be very thankful 🙏🙏🙏

Back in school at 38 for a cybersecurity cert while working IT support. My brain is full of ticket queues and now also subnetting. I've been using a simple Notion database to track modules, lab hours, and exam dates, but I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface.

I want to know how to force that for several of my clients!

Say a dishwasher has been repaired twice, but also needs a new service appointment. Would you keep all three entries in one database, or separate the completed service history from the task to book the next visit?

Separate databases seem cleaner for keeping the dates and costs intact. One database seems easier to capture into, especially on a phone.

For anyone keeping home records in Notion, what has held up better once you've had a few years of entries? Any annoying edge cases with recurring maintenance or replacing an item?

I'm a freelancer and I kept losing track of who still owed me money. So I added a "Next step" formula to my invoices database in Notion, and now each invoice tells me what to do.

How it works:

1. Days overdue: only counts invoices with status "Sent". Drafts never show as late.

2. Next step: based on how late the invoice is, it shows one of these:

- Send invoice (still a draft)

- Wait (not due yet)

- Friendly reminder (1+ days late)

- Second reminder (7+ days late)

- Final notice (14+ days late)

1. Last reminder date: after I send a reminder, I set it to today. The formula waits 5 days before asking me to send another one, so I don't spam clients.

2. On the Clients database, a rollup shows how much each client owes me and if they usually pay late.

Now I just open one filtered view each morning ("Next step" is not empty) and send what it says. Takes 2 minutes.

Happy to share the exact formula if anyone wants it. How do you track late payments?

The cursor that my text comes from keeps moving. Usually it happens when I use a contraction or a random word.

For the word, it will move the cursor back a few characters and It'll take me a little while to realise that I'm writing with a few extra letters in front of my words. (Ob fjevrjsbd |stacle)

For the contractions, I'll put the word down without the punctuation (didnt) then press the word in my spellcheck bar to put the apostrophe in (didn't). When i do that the cursor should go to the end of the word, but mine doesn't, so I'll end up with the rest of word in front of what I'm writing (didn'|t).

Is there any way to solve this cause it's really annoying?

After being strictly denied twice by the first-line support agent (Brian), I followed your advice, demanded a manual review, and escalated the ticket to the management team.

Just now, Shahan from the Billing Escalations team took over my case and authorized a full $24.00 refund back to my card as a one-time exception! The official Stripe receipts have already hit my email inbox.

Lesson learned: If you get auto-charged on the same day for a historically frozen/locked account, do not accept the automated copy-paste rejections. Ask for an escalation immediately.

I am a user of Notion for a long time, but do not use it to its full potential I think. I am on the free plan, and thinking of upgrading.

My problem mainly is that I want you use Notion as a tool that manages almost everything (habits, trackers, projects, learning, notes) but It’s kinda messy.

I would like advice on how to handle most of that stuff in Notion and eliminate the other apps from my workflow.

How do you manage Notion? Is there any point in going a plan higher?

Since support refuses to escalate my ticket to a billing manager, I am not giving up.

My workspace was strictly locked and suspended during the unpaid period, yet Notion charged me $24 for it retroactively today and refuses a same-day refund. They are literally making me pay for a period when the service wasn't even provided.

I am a broke user fighting for a fair review. I will be updating this specific Reddit thread every single day with the current status until a real billing manager manually looks at my logs.

Day 1: Still no refund, workspace downgraded to Free, waiting for a human response.
