With early voting being in full swing, the last couple candidates on the upcoming ballots I do not know very much about are the District 2 and 3 county commissioners running for office. Bill McKenzie and Aimee Tybor have short interviews with the Newnan Times but they have no website. I found the websites for Dakota Caldwell and Render Godfrey. However, they seemed to have very similar positions on most issues but Godfrey has a dedicated position on affordable housing, which is notably missing from Caldwell's website.

I wanted to put a feeler out there to see if anyone had any opinions on the candidates running for election. I know the least about Bill McKenzie and Aimee Tybor. I would like to know more about Calwell and Godfrey too. If anyone has any opinions or thoughts that are reliable and substantiated about their records or upcoming plans I would love to hear about them.

EDIT : SHE HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE. Thank you all!!

We are urgently seeking anyone with access to a thermal imaging (heat-sensing) drone who may be able to assist with the search.**
Wanda McConnell has been missing since approximately **7:00pm on Sunday, October 18, 2026**, after leaving her residence on foot near Grange Way in Sharpsburg, Georgia.

**Wanda suffers from diminished mental capacity**, does not drive, and has no known financial resources. Her current whereabouts and direction of travel are unknown.

**Last seen wearing:**
Dark blue T-shirt
Light blue jeans
Tennis shoes

With approximately 24 hours having passed, there is growing urgency to locate her safely.
**We are specifically asking whether anyone in the Atlanta, Coweta County, or surrounding areas has access to a thermal imaging drone or knows a search-and-rescue organization that could assist immediately. Please** contact **Investigator Crockett at 678-854-0010 to arrange**.

If you have access to thermal drone equipment, please reach out and coordinate with law enforcement before beginning a search.

Please help spread the word. Even if you cannot assist directly, you may know someone who can. Every hour matters.

Anyone been to the new crunch fitness that opened up next to the Home Depot? Thoughts? Worth joining?

Moved back down from atlanta and really have no idea where people 25 to 40 meet. It seems as if most people are either at home or doing something work related while out and don't want to talk.

I just signed a lease at a pretty popular apartment near ashley park, The Willows. From the moment we moved in we began noticing cockroaches making their way into the building and a noticeable odor coming from back bathroom from the roaches. We have probably seen 20 roaches in the past week. The leasing office/ corporate has completely dismissed it and started damage control and to my understanding is gonna either retain us as tenants or is gonna try and make us pay the full early termination fee of 6,000$ to leave early. This seems unreasonable being here less than a week and already dealing with such a significant pest issue. Anybody have any ideas of what we can do, as far as maybe city code enforcement , or even legal action. That being said I do not recommended this place. Has really gone down hill and acquired by Air management( read the horror stories)

Hi all,

Looking for suggestions on local trash pickup companies for the unincorporated area of Coweta. Around my area it seems as though it is a Pollard monopoly with a few GFL customers. Does anyone have any feedback on experience with either of those or suggest any others that are outstanding or significantly more affordable? Somewhat interested in garbage with recycling but not required.

Hi! Just wanted to know if anyone knew of just a really simple recreation flag football league for 18-year-olds?

Hi all! I want to start learning ASL, but I know how important using it daily and in practice as a beginner is. Are there any groups or classes in/near Newnan?

This building is permanently closed, but I wanna know if anyone has been here before or remembers what it was.

Looking to have my floors replaced within the next 6 months. Anybody have any recommendations for a local company that does solid work?

Meet FCAS foster Amy! 💖 This 7yo, 60lb (looks smaller, she’s muscular!) shepherd mix girl is certified BFF material! 👯‍♀️ She’s been our easiest foster thus far and has been such a polite, happy houseguest. She’s incredibly affectionate, will lean in for hugs, and loves to stand and put her paws on your shoulders if you’re seated eye level with her. 🥹 She makes the cutest little grunting noises when she snuggles and her head tilt game is STRONG! 😆

She may technically be a senior (suspect she may be a bit younger), but she’s still got plenty of pep in her step! She’s super playful, loves fetch, and has a blast running around the yard and playing with our resident Shepsky. 🐾 She also settles quickly, sleeps through the night, LOVES to cuddle, and doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety (only short-lived protest whines and quickly gives up 😆). All in all, 10/10 good girl! 🥰

✅ Potty trained - no accidents! 🤞🏽
✅ Leash trained - pulls, but manageable
✅ Crate trained
✅ Non-destructive
✅ Dog friendly
✅ Excellent temperament
✅ Knows commands - sit, stay, shake (both paws)
✅ Good recall
✅ Treat/food motivated
✅ Non-reactive (treats, toys, food, etc)
✅ Easily handled
✅ Easy to bathe/dry/brush/trim nails
✅ Spayed
✅ HW negative

Amy’s kryptonite? Cats. 😩 She’s shown pretty strong prey drive with our senior kitty, so she would do best in a feline-free home. 🐈‍⬛

We also don’t know how she does with kids, but I imagine the only issue might be that she can get excited and could accidentally cause little children to topple over. 😅

She has an Embark DNA test in progress, so curious to see what her breed mix is…👀

Amy is currently being fostered in Kennesaw, GA and available for adoption through LifeLine Animal Project Fulton County Animal Services. Click the link below to schedule a meet & greet with her or feel free to message me! 👋🏽

Hi everyone new ish here and looking for a pediatrician for my daughter. Ideally looking to stay within the Newnan area but open to traveling for great care. I've asked previously about daycares and you all came thru big time so appreciate you in advance. Thanks

Heyyo,

Anyone in Newnan going to be playing WoW Forever? Want to link up?

(33M) Recently moved to the area and figured this might be a fun organic way to make a friend or two. Making friends as an adult is weird and tough.

I’ve used a couple different vets in Newnan. I saw that East Coweta VH had a $25 first visit fee. I wanted to know if anyone has used a vet in the area that works with you on payment? Unfortunately I don’t qualify for Care Credit or Scratch.

Also, has anyone had any luck finding a good, reliable pet insurance plan? I’d like to find one with no waiting period and a lower deductible.

Hi all- looking for a car for my mom as hers is dying and she is the sole caretaker for my dad and on a fixed income. The used lots are nuts and the ads i have seen on fb are expensive. long shot here but maybe someone knows someone? A reliable mechanic? a family getting rid of a car? a senior citizen that is no longer driving? TYIA

First time needing my tank pumped. Seems pretty straightforward, but I've been burned by a few Southside businesses since moving here. Anyone have a company they recommend for this? Tank is easy to access. Edit: Smooth Flow coming today. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi all! Anyone know the rotation schedule for the 50% off color at the Salvation Army? I fell in love with a jacket there over the weekend but it was special priced at $50. 😖

Hoping I can wait it out and if it’s meant to be, it will still be there once it’s 50% off! Thank you!

My cat Shimmy has been missing since 9/21 on Tapestry Lane in Summergrove. She had a yellow and black collar with her tag and a yellow flower on it. If anyone sees her please contact me! We miss her desperately!

Hey everyone, I need to get a few school-related documents notarized for my kids and am looking for affordable options around the Newnan area.

Does anyone have recommendations for places locally that offer low rates or even do it for free for members/customers (like local credit unions, banks, or local spots)?

In Georgia, notary fees are capped at $2 per signature, but I'd love to know where people usually go around town to get this done quickly without extra fees.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a one and a half year-old. My parents usually watches him when my husband and I need them to but I’m looking for a babysitter for nights that we’re all doing something or they can’t watch him but I’ve read about horror stories of bad things happening and I don’t really know a lot of people in the area so I’m not sure where to begin
