Last week I started uploading my music to the Newgrounds Audio Portal under the name Mastering Silence, and I was incredibly stoked to find out I already got scouted.

I’ve put up 7 MP3 tracks so far, mostly raw, ambient guitar pieces, quiet piano tracks, and emotional cinematic scores. They are all 100% human-made and completely free to use for non-commercial projects, indie games, animations, or jams on the site.

The MP3s are uploaded and ready to stream or use right now on my portal page. I also have the full, uncompressed WAV files and MIDI data/stems bundled up over on my itch.io profile if you ever need to tweak the arrangements or swap out instruments to fit your project perfectly.

I'm still pretty new to the platform, but I seriously can't wait to see the first animation or game project where someone uses one of these tracks. If you need some raw background music for a project you're working on, feel free to check out my portal page at masteringsilence.newgrounds.com.

Massive thank you to whoever scouted me, it definitely gives me the drive to keep building out the catalog.

Hey all, I hope everyone is having a great day, I usually don’t post on subreddits like this but you do something new eventually; I wanted to share a cartoon series made originally in 2016 by Kylie T (Apokylipse), recently reshared since we discussed her wanting to make a sequel to this series.

Quoting her description of her reposting of it, she says “Pussyman: Defender of Freedom is a webseries created by Kylie Tufano. It is a satirical comedy featuring an absent minded hopeless romantic character's lackadaisical adventures in pursuit of a mate. The series, while primarily noted as an animation, also exists as a video game and a webcomic. Pussyman is a seminal work of internet art lexicon.”

Personally, it wasn’t my cup of tea and I only saw Episodes 1 and 2, however the recent completion of Episode 5 and other episodes made me think it had potential to be something more. In addition, the series was a project he had conceived during her high school years and the series recently hit its 10 year anniversary mark!

I’ve also became a fan of Kylie’s and spoke to her about playing characters in the series, and if other audiences found it and watched, it would help us out and I wanted to share it here on her behalf and see what you guys think!

i shall now go into a state of fury they call ballistic and have a a seizure

Hello, a few weeks ago, I tried to find the origins of this iconic .gif (or .swf as you'll later see) right here, there is a huge chance you have seen it in the famous YouTube classic Awesome Face Song. The reason why I am asking the question here is because of the implications that it may have been made by a Newgrounder as inplied by the use of the grunt's torso sprite from Madness Combat.

The Hunt

My hunt begins at searching on Know Your Meme, finding the gif was not hard at all as it is the first thing you see when reading the Awesome Face / Epic Smiley page that they have. The second thing I had to do was to click on the .gif's page which contains information, but unfortunately, none of the information to the right section were particularly useful. The good news is that Know Your Meme's image pages include a comment section, and lucky for me, someone already provided the original, which turns out to be a flash animation, but that's where I hit my first roadblock, as the link provided is dead and has been for a long time, and the Wayback Machine doesn't have any archive of the page either. This paragraph would have been just the end of the post if I didn't find out about the file name of the .swf, which can be found by using the Ruffle chrome extension and clicking on the button that says "Open in a new tab", which in this case leads to a now-dead website called "dafurr.com" with the .swf file name in the url which was called "whatisthisidonteven.swf".

Searching the file name onto google brings a lot of results going back to a website named SWFchan, a lot of which are unrelated because apparently there was a lot .swf files that shared the exact name, but it didn't take me too long to find the one that I was actually looking for. Turns out, this is not the most commonly used file name for this .swf, instead, it was "fresh prince of AWESOME.swf" which used a mashup of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air theme song and Vengaboys' We like to Party!, hence the name. The page was quite useful as it showed the first time that the .swf file was seen which was on 11th of June, 2008, so at the very least, it had to have come out in 2008, but weirdly, clicking on [Wiki page at swfchan.net] which leads to how many times the .swf has been reposted, the first archived instance of it came much later on the 30th of September, 2008. Sadly, this is the last breakthrough and I have reached a much harder roadblock.

Conclusion

This is where my search stands, a possible creation date of 2008, I can't really continue it solo as there doesn't seem to be anything I can do myself, I have tried reaching out to other people, but none of them had any further clue other than some vague hints, if I want to find the true origins of this iconic animation loop and the creator behind it, I would have to talk about it here, a last resort if you will.

I still hold on to the belief that it was made by a Newgrounder or someone who has been making Madness Combat animations as the grunt torso was a very odd and specific design choice of whoever is behind this animation.

Who does this things? Who wants to pay for subscriptions when we can see adult stuff for free?

Hey everyone, you may have seen this animation already posted on Newgrounds, I just wanted to provide a little context to it. This is the first iteration of world building in this universe and hope you enjoy the beginning stage of how this series will adapt before hitting the mainstream.

This is Day of The Flare; a dramatic introduction to a series that shows what could happen in the modern day if another Carrington Event took place. Do you think you can survive in a world without electricity?

Frite: Wildown comes out on October 25th at https://hadenda.newgrounds.com/

(Actual comic will have much better quality)

It took about 2 hours to make, made in fl studio

Gimme your votes and opinions on-site. Thank you greatly. Enjoy!

Update: TomFulp removed this even though it was not harming anyone at all. Removed on the grounds of AI usage......even though it was a short death battle between fictional game characters......
