Hey New Braunfels. I'm Jason, and I run Viking Vapor & Smoke on Business 35.

Short version: hemp legality in Texas keeps shifting, and we didn't want the whole shop riding on it. So we rethought the place, made some big updates, and built it out into more of a 21+ hangout and mini-mart. We didn't get rid of any products, but we expanded and broadened what we offer.

Part of the why: adults barely have third places anymore. I've met a lot of great people since I started here, and I wanted to give this community somewhere cheap, quiet and nice to spend an hour or a few. You have plenty of places to shop, but not many places to just be.

So here's our first weekly event: Lofi Night.

Soooo just moved here and the amount of young children ridding these things with no helmet and in the street (not following road signs) is absolutely diabolical. Do parents not care around here or am I missing something? People are ran over on these things back where I came from. Here there are just flocks of people’s babies ridding in the roads. What’s up with that?

IN SEARCH OF 18-WHEELER THAT HIT ME AND FLED THE SCENE ON I-35 (PLEASE SHARE!)

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026 around 5:30AM, I was traveling northbound on I-35 mile marker 194 near the “Welcome to Mayfair” sign when I was struck by a semi-truck that resulted in me crashing into the concrete divider. The driver continued on and fled the scene without stopping. As you can see from this post, I’m alive and incredibly grateful to be here, but I did suffer minor injuries and my vehicle will most likely be considered a total loss. Law enforcement is involved, but the only description I was able to provide was a semi with a white or red tractor cab pulling a flatbed trailer.

I know this may be a long shot, but I’m putting this out there in hopes that someone out there may have seen something that could help identify this truck and its driver (eye witness, dashcam, etc). Everything happened so quickly that I wasn’t able to get a clear look at the truck or license plate. If you didn’t witness the accident, you can still help by sharing or reposting this and sending it to anyone you know who regularly commutes through this area. Even the smallest detail could make a difference.Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read and share this.

I’m currently seeking good people to clean out my garage for a reasonable rate OR if they want to cherry pick what’s in there. I have things like a fridge, AC units, furniture, bikes, etc. it’s for sure one days work, but it’s not as bad as it seems. My wife’s ex also left some oil buckets in there so that will need to be removed properly. Either way I’m willing to negotiate either or. DM or comment! Thank yall.
