📍 Map MTA Adjusts Night Map on Feedback!
Sent in some errors to the MTA earlier this week and it looks like they fixed them!
Pretty cool to see the MTA is listening and able to implement these changes pretty fast.

🎨 Art I made a playlist of all the stops on the 1 train
Every song title here is a stop. It's pretty difficult to find songs for some of these (who is writing music about 207th street??) but all 38 stops are covered.
EDIT: I replaced the AI-generated track "Van Cortlandt Park" with "242" by Roga Roga, and sombr's "Canal Street" with A$AP Rocky's track of the same tame.
Playlist is here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0oF0T4NxNS8c1zcRW4HD1r

🎙️ Discussion If the CI Swap were to go through, this is what will have to happen.
So I have been revisiting the concept of the (B) (D) (N) and (Q) swap for the sake of DeKalb Junction. And I realize that if it were to go through, this is what's going to have to happen.
The (B) and (D) must get Brighton full time. To compensate for full Express service, the (D) will have to terminate at Brighton Beach while the (B) runs to Coney Island Local during the day, then the (D) will run to Coney Island via Brighton Local during the Night when the (B) is snuggling at Coney Island and Concourse Yards. Remember, the (B) is not a 24/7 Line. There will be some excuse to raising the fare if the (B) were to run all night as well.
The (Q) will get West End in the process. Despite all of the stations, and 36th to Fort Hamilton's Timers plus 38th Street Yard, West End is pretty quick. The crews boogie through Fort Hamilton Parkway all the way to Coney Island.
The Only set back to this happening is all of the passengers who rely on Broadway from Brighton and all who rely on 6th Avenue from West End and 4th Avenue. Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, 34th Street, and Times Square-42nd Street will clutter with passengers who are not aiming to transfer.

📸 Photo 191th street station pedestrian tunnel in 2026
most of the videos/images i can find of the pedestrian tunnel in the 191th street station are from around 2022-2023, so i visited the station about 3 weeks ago (september 24) to see the status of it. the walls seem to have a decent amount of graffiti pieces that are done on top of a mural.
there is apparently quite a bit of history in regards to the art on the walls of the tunnel. reportedly, the murals that can be seen behind the graffiti today were painted on september 23, 2023. earlier that year in january 2023 on the 17th or 18th, the station was completely buffed/whitewashed of all of the pre-2023 graffiti which upset a lot of residents. the pre-2023 graffiti would date to the period after the 19th of may 2015 and it's what's shown in most of the videos. this is because between the 11th and the 19th of may 2015, several professional artists were comissioned to paint murals in the tunnel (those murals were honestly really good just based on the pictures and it is sort of sad that the 2015-2023 graffiti ruined it despite how impressive all of the graffiti in that time looked imo). this was not the first mural in the tunnel however, as apparently there was ANOTHER one painted in 2008 that was also eventually graffiti bombed (i could not find any good images of the 2008-2015 period though).
going even deeper into the history the tunnel used to be extremely poorly maintained and had horrible lighting back in the 90s, and crime was a fairly common occurence (this tunnel was probably an absolute nightmare in the 80s tbh). it's a lot better nowadays since it was significantly improved in the 2000s, but i think work could still be done. there's a rather high amount of trash in the tunnel compared to most subway stations as well as several puddles of water. this is probably because the tunnel isn't managed by the mta so it isn't their responsibility to clean it (it's the city's responsibility apparently). there was also a small section of the tunnel where the lights weren't working.

🎙️ Discussion Escalator fall
Yesterday on the escalator going to up to grand central from the 7 this guy fell significantly down the escalators as well as his suitcases. His wife got mad because me and the girl in front of me did not help him. He was actively falling down with suitcases right beside him. I felt if I had grabbed his leg it would have made it worse. Was in the wrong?

❓ Question If the C train had to get suspended for a few years or months, would the MTA extended the E train to Euclid Ave?
I ask this question because it seems that 8 Av line is mostly A and E trains who are main characters of the line. The C train is a local supplement of the A train in Brooklyn-Manhattan.
If the C train had to be temporarily killed, would the E trains be extended to Euclid or would the A trains run solo on along Fulton St?

❓ Question In search of a NYC Metro card!
Hi all! I was recently visiting NYC and loved this collectible memorabilia they gave the fans who visited the Harry styles pop up store. I would really love to pair it up with an actual Metro card.
It was next to impossible to find any kind of whereabouts and how might I be able to get one when i was recently visiting. Happy to chip in the shipping if you can assist me in securing one, please!!
Thank you :)
